Hyperhorn
Maybe it would be a good idea to keep the old API for CPU-Z meanwhile and work on the Windows 8 version seperatly? In case it can't work as good as the old solution (for whatever reason) it would be worth considering providing different CPU-Z versions in general, too. I don't see a good reason for risking the reliability - which Franck has built up for years - for a non-final OS, which will be released at the end of the year (and isn't built for PCs in the first way) and will not overcome the spreading of all released and working OSes people use today productively in the foreseeable future, CPU-Z runs (almost ) perfectly fine on. knopflerbruce
+1. Drivers for example are OS dependant, you don't run the same exe for xp32bit and win 7. Wouldn't be a problem if you have to use one version for anything up to win 7 and another one for win 8.
mr.paco
Agreed, Couldn't he (Franck) allow the last working version to remain able to validate until he is able to work out all the bugs in this latest version?
mr.paco
Just another example, not as bad as the others I posted but lets face it, here at Bot every mhz counts

I.M.O.G.
If you are submitting anything other than CPU Frequency, mem frequency, reference clock results... you can just use an old working version of CPUz for the screenshots. CPUz being broken in new versions really only impacts CPUz validations, which are only required for those benches. Just thought I'd mention this, as it seems maybe some people are worried about CPUz functionality for subs other than those.

l0ud_sil3nc3
eard about this one on ivy bridge yeah, this reminds me I didn't forward it to cpuid. Will do so. Thank you Christian, what is weird is I have some screens where the bclk decreases by 20mhz, very odd as well but much harder to reproduce, usually when bclk is 99.8 or less.
