Crew Vivi Posted June 22, 2013 Crew Posted June 22, 2013 I tested with 2c 2t and 2.2 vrin for all my 5ghz tests. And 2800 memory. And h60 with 20c ambient and gc xtreme paste Quote
Threedhero Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I got mine at my [not so local] Microcenter in Cincinnati, OH. It's about a 2 hour drive for me but I was going there anyway. Trollin my store man? Haha jk anytime your up there ask for my guy Dan Moody tell him i sent you, he might go through batch numbers... They had nothing but L310B492 when i got mine. Also working on him to get the new OCF on the shelf. Quote
Atlas Rush Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm the guy that andreat named, the one with a 4770k l310b487 5.1 GHz 1m 1.28v on air, crappy mainboard, tomorrow I'll get a z87x oc, with Avexir 2666 4x4 sticks (my war kit) and I'll figure out what this CPU can do cooled by my h100i I benhed a 1m @5.2 too but it crashed during screenshot, same vcore as 5.1, and everything was left on auto. Now that sin0822 made a guide for oc with my same identical system I'm gonna push it to the limit wish me good luck! Quote

K404 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 2.9vRIN I was told it should be 2x vCore for as long as possible? I've never set the full 3V Uncore was.... pretty low. 5GHz? Maybe less? I've yet to see any benefit from jacking it up, from memory this CPU wasn't great for Uncore.... 5.1GHz? Something like that. Quote
Phaseshift Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 anyone have a 5ghz stable 24/7 chip they want to part with, I'll pay premium Quote
Crew Vivi Posted June 24, 2013 Crew Posted June 24, 2013 anyone have a 5ghz stable 24/7 chip they want to part with, I'll pay premium i do if you really want. I delidded it and replaced with liquid metal ultra, it does 5ghz at 1.5+ tho . but its cool cause of the metal paste. and still has warranty cause i replaced it with black silicone. batch L310B488 Quote
Phaseshift Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 thanks vivi, but I was looking for something more under 1.35v Quote
Crew Vivi Posted June 24, 2013 Crew Posted June 24, 2013 those will go for mannny dollars . From my testing if i had a 1.35v 4c 8t cpu on the right batch should do 6450+ Quote
Alex@ro Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 100% agree,best one i found from 5 pieces is capable of doing 5 ghz 2c2t with 1.33 32M,1.35 3d,4c8t with 1.48 at 5 ghz.If you find a 4c8t 1.35 5 ghz prime cpu that cpu will not go cheap at all... Quote
Crew Vivi Posted June 24, 2013 Crew Posted June 24, 2013 i think my search is over, this is my 4th l310b488 Quote
K404 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Ooooh-RAH! So..... we are *ideally* wanting to bin Haswell the same as Ivy...we just had a skewed picture of the architecture because launch batches were tragic shit Quote
Crew Vivi Posted June 24, 2013 Crew Posted June 24, 2013 I got excited too fast. It can do wprime 32m 4c 8t on 1.35v. But ln2 cb was -105 and max clock like 6.2 2c pifast. Siiiiiigh now what are we suppose to look for Quote
Phaseshift Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I have batch L310B492 on the way to me hopefully she will be forgiving Quote

Xtreme Addict Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 old good method as on GT - each cpu under ln2 Quote
Atlas Rush Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Sweeeet chip! Can't wait to test it under LN2, however guys, is it ordinary that if I set uncore @ let's sya 4.5GHz, CPU-Z shows up a 3900MHz frequency? Quote
K404 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I'm gonna guess that you're using a Gigabyte OC board with an early BIOS and you're using 100 strap? Update to F5b and you should be fine. Quote
Calathea Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Go for latest F5q with Z87X-OC, I like this bios the most so far. And to not go completely offtopic here's my Malay-something retail with crazy volts on single stage. Ln2 switch ftw http://hwbot.org/submission/2394365_calathea_cpu_frequency_core_i7_4770k_5954.38_mhz Quote

Update to F5b and you should be fine. I was with the F5b, 100MHz strap, now I updated to the F5q Beta Bios but I left uncore @ Auto, now is there a change in the values if I set it different from 35x? Oh and thanks for the reply, really! I was getting mad, seriously :\ EDIT: 4.5GHz Uncore with 1.15v vRing, is it ok? Edited June 25, 2013 by Atlas Rush Quote
