General overclocking

I got a 9600GT superclocked, it is preset to 675 clock speed. I can get it to run through the benchmarks in the 700 clock speeds but it wont play a game for 10 minutes before it will crash even with a minor change in clock. Any one one else have nay luck with there 9600 superclocked?

hi i have asus en8500gt its a silent card (fanless) i managed to oc it to 702/477 and now i have question i worry about this card at this point so will it sooner burn or just produce artifacts/hang when i ll go and overclock it further? currently if i run 3dmark it has ~96centigrades at 702/477 what would u recommend? quiting overclocking or trying it further... ps. this cards gpu overclocks by 27mhz tick so its not as safe as fluent overclocking by 10mhz or so on ps2. im not gonna overclock memorys anymore coz it hanged on 5xx/490 so i droped mem to xxx/477 and no further mem oc is planed thx for any replies

My old rig had a C2D E6300 running @ 3398Mhz, with 2x1GB DDR2 667Mhz Team Elite Dimms. Since i wasnt able to push the dimms farther than 980mhz (at 2.25v)i decided to buy some new ones. I bought 2x1GB DDR2 800Mhz Team Elite Dimms. After instaling (removed the oc to stock, but left it all in manual) them i booted the pc and ran Prime95 and a Memtest for 1 hour, to let them settle in. After that, i let the pc cool for a bit and rebooted to enter the bios. I went to raise the frequency, but at about +50mhz it wouldnt boot, so i raised a voltages to the ones i found to be safe under the old dimms (2.1v) but it wouldnt boot, so i settled for 2.05v. i have a elitegroup 945gct-m/1333 motherboard and an intel core 2 duo e6550 @2.33ghz, will i be able to overclock my processor without killing my mobo?

On a lot of forums people rumour that RAM on the HD2900XT, or the 9600GT (like I have) should not run above a 1000 MHz as it will slowly die when you do that. However, nowhere I can find a real strong argument why this either would or would not be the case. So my question is: Is it OK for GDDR3 to run above 1000 MHz or not? And if so, why?

It is time for Revision 1.3... It is based on the 1.2 Revision with some improvements like : 1. Bigger mass on the bottom. 2. It is about 20cm instead of 22cm but it is more wide. 3. I removed the last step from the bottom(outside) and make it one piece with the whole base to add more mass too. 4. The interior is fullfilled with "lines" , i mean that it is not plane and crafted..it is like you have very small rings inside the whole pot from the top to the base in order to have as bigger surface as it can have from this rings to hold temps better on high loads.... Hi, I got a problem with overclocking. (Pentium 4 3,2 ; ECS 915-m5 ; 2x512 PC3200 (not equivalent) ) When i set the FSB more than 240, the computer won't boot - it shows that cant find any boot devices, bios also doesn't find the boot devices (HDD's). And i have one question else: Why I cant change fsb:ram ratio?

Whilst these cards are “single slot cards” They are 2 separate chip/cores on one card and as such are defeating the point of single card benching imo Should these cards that come out once a year have the "Own Ranking" As the true single card “one chip/core” cards are being removed from the rankings by these units i feel like i have been racing a car all season with one engine and at the last race of the year cars with two engines have been entered in my class and have won the day thanks baz 3D03: rankings below

Iv seen on lots of forums with people having issues not being able to get there EVGA 680i boards past 1720 FSB or so. I found that there are sevrial FSB holes, theres 1 at 1620, 1720, and 1820 that I have found wile I have started OCing this board.. I had a Asus P5N32-E Sli Plus, but got tierd of trying to get a bios that was werth OCing, and run the new E8400, I got this Board from a friend, And I love it! I have bought the MSI 8600GT oc edition with DDR3. I havn´t bought an extra cooling for that card, only a chipset cooling set, but havn´t installed them. Hello all. I am having some dificulties with P5K premium voltmods. The ICs, reisistors, etc look IDENTICAL to the pictures. The only difference at all that I have noticed is with the heatsinks for the bridges and mosfets. 1. Vcpu not working at all. 2. I have a Gigabyte iRAM, but I have a problem with it. If I have windows running on another disk, I can use the ramdisk without problems. But if I install windows on the iRAM, it doesn't work: there's a notice "no operating system found", and it seems like there's no partition on it... Any ideas?

ok, this is a strange and iritating one for me. when i run Wprime, thread3 is allways 0.3 seconds per loop slower than any other thread, so on 32m, its 1.2seconds slower than the rest to finish. on 1024m, its 30 seconds slower. is this normal or is there something worng with my os which is causing it, because i should be beating some times, but this bug keep ruining my times. many thanx
