As the previous thread was a bit too big and as we now have Dennis squashing bugs more actively, let's start a new thread. If you find any bugs or have any new feature requests (that are too small to start a new thread), please post them here. Thanks!

I think this link has been public for a while, but probably got lost. Anyway, to keep track of the issues/bugs/ideas/... we maintain a JIRA project. This project is public, which means you can see exactly what is planned, what is in progress, what didn't make it and so on. Link: http://bugs.hwbot.org/browse/HWBOT Note that the JIRA project is quite dynamic as funtion of Frederik's free time. That means that sometimes we move tasks from one release to another if we see we won't be able to make it in time or if we just weren't able to make it.

Hi all, As you might have read in another forum topic, we have begun our planning and development for HWBOT R5. With Dennis having joined the HWBOT team, we can increase the development pace quite a bit. Therefore, we have also changed the way we approach major releases. R5 is, in contrary to R4 which launched as finished product, a work-in-progress with features being released when ready. The full-blown R5 can thus only be experience in a couple months time. At this point in the development stage we are close to release the first new R5 features. In this thread, we will keep track of the released features as well as announce the ones that are planned for R5. We have …

Hey, so I just did a run of Unigine Heaven on my 12600K + 5600 XT system in hopes of hitting the podium for my GPU and discovered something interesting. When I go to submit the run, the hwbot file detects that I ran the benchmark on the UHD 770 integrated GPU. However, I very clearly ran the bench on my dedicated RX 5600 XT (which both of my monitors are attached to), and the score of 5361 reflects as much. I can't change the listed card to my 5600 XT, and it would be wrong to submit the run under UHD 770. I would prefer to avoid re-running the bench with the iGPU disabled if possible as I'm not totally sure what I did to manage this score, and it would not likely be poss…

Is it possible to increase the number of search results that are visiblee? Whenever I search for something like a nvidia 6800 vanilla the engine doesnt show more than 10 results and tells me to narrow down my search. Why is this limit so low? It would be better if it was alot higher, like 50.

Following Borandi's request, R5 will have improved API support. Currently, we're looking into adding API support for: 1) RELEASED: Benchmark Ranking API The new API will allow benchmark developers to easily create benchmark rankings at HWBOT similar to the ones we already have. 2) RELEASED: Data-mining API Mainly focussing on opening up the data regarding submissions, points and user/team details. Not everything is set in stone yet, so feel free to give suggestions

The exact point scheme isn't fixed yet, but the scheme Borandi (again!) suggested seems pretty good. Currently the scheme is 1 - 60 2 - 45 3 - 33.6 4 - 26.2 5 - 22.4 6 - 21.7 7 - 21.1 8 - 20.5 9 - 19.3 If we follow the community suggestion from Borandi, if there are 9 participants in a ranking, the scheme would be: 1 - 10 2 - 7.5 3 - 5.6 4 - 4.4 5 - 3.7 6 - ... ... Any comments?

The lack of consistency does my head in, every time I see the list. The videocard benchmark list is a *little* better, butneeds most of the changes suggested above.

Can't find the thread where IMOG suggested to add a historical overview of the league and benchmark rankings. Just wanted to show what Dennis has been working on. So far, we only implemented the league chart. The benchmark record chart will be in the next development cycle. We're working with a small set of data on our test server, hence why the graph is so empty. I think the benchmark record timeline will be very nice, though .

Right now, a tie on the bot ends up with the user who submitted first taking the higher position. Because this hobby is one that is largely based on competing with old hardware and time is not a very relative metric, I suggest the following changes. Take this example (me!!) for consideration: Mothod 1: For a tie, the points normally given to the users would be added together and divided by the number of users (an average). In the rankings, all users would show as having the same rank. For example: (39.8+33.5+29.7)/3 = 34.3 points each 1. 4sec 437ms 49.9pts 2. 4sec 453ms 34.3pts 2. 4sec 453ms 34.3pts 2. 4sec 453ms 34.…

Short intro As announced in the main R5 thread, we are planning to update the Pro OC League as it exists today and switch to an F1OC-style of competition featuring a 3 month competition. In short: If users indicate that they are Pro OC, they are allowed to create a Pro Cup team and join the Pro OC Cup. Each competition team will have their own profile page listing the Pro OC achievements and participants. The Cup will consists of 5/6 stages with predefined benchmark and hardware and will mainly focus on the newest generation of hardware. For example: Ivy Bridge, GTX680, Trinity, Piledriver and 4xCF 7970. Alongside of the Pro OC Cup, we'll run the Team cup whic…

A new feature in Rev5 is the Front-page Voting Tool. This feature does not require that much explanation: it's a tool we can use to add POLLs to the frontpage. Currently, the tool has been installed, but just in the sidebar. You can find the POLL in every sidebar on HWBOT. In the future, we hope to have this feature evolve into a structure for community members, visitors as well as team captains to discuss and vote on new features and ideas. But, that might be for Rev6 only. The voting tool allows us to create polls for specific user groups by adding parameters. The parameters currently include: - # submissions - league - country/region - points We are curr…

With the existing Xtreme League rules.... and the new criteria & setup for the Pro (team) League..... what do benchers do if they are: *think they are too-heavily supported to be in the Xtreme league *employed or well supported by a particular company *Using latest-Gen ES or non-released hardware *submitting scores from company-supported events *any other situations i've missed At the moment, it feels like there is "a void" and some benchers have "nowhere to be" I'd like to see all of this stuff clarified (and hopefully added to the rules/ league page) Thanks

I moved the postings from this topic: http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?p=195470 The current rule is that it's not allowed to sell stuff just in the Offtopic-Section (as far as I know) What about a marketplace like on XS or other forums?

When you are on your team page, you can click on a -icon to load the matching chart. Currently, we support the following charting: Team ranking Team achievements Team members total Team points You can use the chart's scrolling mechanism to zoom in on a particular timeframe. Currently the timeline is only implemented on the team page, but we are planning to implement it on user pages as well if the response is positive .

Just a small thread to point out this feature. If you go to the competition overview page (http://hwbot.org/competitions), you'll notice that the competitions are now being grouped under a specific title. This allows you to have a better overview on the evolution of the various competitions. The tagging is a work-in-progress, so not all competitions are under the right group yet.
