October 29, 201014 yr Serial numbers also means HW reselling will cause problems. If I buy a card on a forum or on Ebay, and the serial number was already used... that means I can no longer submit with it? Buying used HW is fine for HWbot, so invoice only or if its a contest winning a screeny of your name on the winners list would be adequate I think. For reviewers... a link to the review could be used. But it still would not stop HW Sharing. JM2C
December 3, 201014 yr Alternatively the suggestion that the best score gets 100% of the points and all other scores (of the team) in the same ranking contribute 10% of the points to the team total. sound ok. maybe it would make sense to reward the top5 of each hardwareclass with a bit more hardwarepoints then?
December 3, 201014 yr trophies should contribute as well..other than just looking nice by ones name. since allot of these categories have no points because they have no 2k users submitting. there has to be some type of swing curve some where in this new plan of scoring.
December 3, 201014 yr This is not going from rev.1 to rev two so dont compare it,the last major change did not alienate the lesser scoring members. Ok i might be far from in the know, but what i do know is that this is a MAJOR change. Anyways i guess i'll just let the heavy hitters do all the points and just ride the coattails not much else i can do...dead wood here i come woohoo!!! Air only guys just got spat at bigtime. HMMMMM...did not EVERYBODY here start on air? just ranting so take it easy on me.
December 11, 201014 yr Pieter, rev4 time is approaching so I would like to ask if (like it was for rev2 to rev3) is there a server on which you're running a "beta" version, just to see how will points distribution be. thanks!
December 11, 201014 yr Hi Rich, you're talking about 2xWD caviar green 2TB, right? or "funds" are other funds? Anyway, great for the beta server preview
March 12, 201114 yr How can we separate the members of the UFL and XOL, if the two categories using extreme cooling, and among more than 30 000 overclockers, those who may be the UFL (how much guys to UFL???... 5...10...50?)
March 12, 201114 yr Sorry....forget to ask... Is the UFL like an achievment (if i get to UFL, and lose points, can i down to XOL?...or once i get a UFL i always can keep overclocking in the UFL League) Sorry the bad english
March 14, 201114 yr Crew Fabi, from what I was told earlier - league rankings are based on results, right? So the results fall in different leagues according to league restrictions. If you make a subzero result, your previous air/water result looses points making you lower in Entry league (Novice) and you subzero result achieves points pushing you higher in XOL. So you can't make both. That's only about individual ranking, team rankings don't divide in leagues. But the UFL is going to be a free to participate as I understood. If you wish - you go there. If not - you stay in XOL.
March 19, 201114 yr I think the UFL should not be free because any people (good or no good overclocker) will join, only to say is part of the league. I believe, in my humble opinion, that the hwbot should select the members of the UFL, and only the overclockers should participate with good results. But as I said, it's just my opinion P.S. will HWbot keep our achievements???

People will be beating down the doors to get in there. Edited March 19, 201114 yr by Mr.Scott
March 20, 201114 yr Hmmm......segragation by caste system, yeah, that's gonna make you a lotta friends. People will be beating down the doors to get in there. +1 Mr Scott UFL should only be people with good results? Now how do you define a good result... Example new overclocker "Hey guys, look I'm ranked last in the UFL league on Hwbot with 2 points! W00t!" lol
March 20, 201114 yr Crew rbuass, being the last in the top dogs league or making your way to top 100 out of thousands? I can't say that being part of the league changes everything
March 20, 201114 yr No. ... I am saying is that in my opinion, it should be extreme overclocking and have good results, otherwise there is no reason to separate the UFL of XOL. If the same thing, no need for three leagues and only two would suffice (XOL and no XOL). I think that if they create two different leagues for people using extreme cooling systems, they should be divided according to some criterion, and not by choice that otherwise would have no meaning
March 20, 201114 yr Author We could 'limit' it using very lax limitations. Something like 'must have been in top-100' or something.
March 20, 201114 yr Hmhmh... One idea is: Top 20 or top 30 (+ or) good hwbot achievments like OC Knight or more... Will separate and encourage the guys to bench more and more following best results... I would like to keep the achievements...but don t know if it will continue.. Is only my opinion... What hwbot decide will be ok for me,,, Edited March 20, 201114 yr by rbuass
