_mat_ Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Is playing with the Batch size & reduction size allowed.?Yes, it is allowed and it should be! Each graphics card can perform very different on each setting. If you want to optimize your score, play around with it. It can speedup the whole calculation and enhance reduction time. n/a and today is the end for noctua ?Hmm? Both stages are open until the 28th of February. We extended the competition two weeks ago. But their was some discussion about it, so I though an official clarification will clear the air. Thanks. Quote

About batch and reduction size your answer is very welcome! p.s. Better late than never Quote

Better late than never I just checked with the competition site and that's a misunderstanding. Those prizes were the original ones before we extended the competition with EK's prizes and doubled Noctua's. Massman, please be so kind and remove them! Quote
M.Beier Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Put an order on a slimfit, and a 15E donation. Sorry, cannot participate in the benching - I've retired a long time ago, and I do not have the gear no more, however when I was active I appreciated chatting with the Turricanator, especially on the OCX chat. Gonna grab me some t-shirts in respect of the Porsche Masta That makes two of us. Quote
ogblaz Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I see, but it took me 3 days to get this running on my p4 and when i finally after 6+ hours bench I get N/A in return. I am dissapointed and this is my first competition that I participated. :\ Quote

Massman Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Fixed all the N/A dates. You guys are running some old stuff there. Turrican would have been proud to see this I just checked with the competition site and that's a misunderstanding. Those prizes were the original ones before we extended the competition with EK's prizes and doubled Noctua's. Massman, please be so kind and remove them! Sorry about that. Is it correct now? Quote
TASOS Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Fixed all the N/A dates.... Sorry chief But the ranking at stage-1 , is still wrong. You left-out some scores from socket 423 , including the fastest time at the moment. http://hwbot.org/submission/2749028_havli_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_pentium_4_1.5ghz_willamette_s423_13h_20min_58sec_176ms/ http://hwbot.org/submission/2749253_mr.paco_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_pentium_4_1.5ghz_willamette_s423_9h_38min_40sec_284ms/ http://hwbot.org/submission/2749386_tasos_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_pentium_4_1.6ghz_willamette_s423_9h_5min_59sec_816ms/ Quote

LoL , You cant change things after event is finished, you must do it in advance! For example i had to take few days off work and to buy some HW i dont need now to finish at top overal in time ........ tc tc bad mat, bad Quote

For example i had to take few days off work and to buy some HW i dont need now to finish at top overal in time ........ tc tc bad mat, bad From what I understand, the Noctua prizes remain while EK added more prizes on top of it. Plus as per the old rules you had to finish in Top 3 overall in the competition instead of a stage to get a prize. Now if you finish in the top of 3 of CPU stage 1 & are not in the Top 3 overall, you still get a prize. This is a win win except that you might have more competition due to the time extension. Quote
ogblaz Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 The prizes should be top5 ^ ^ becouse there is so many Quote
_mat_ Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 From what I understand, the Noctua prizes remain while EK added more prizes on top of it.I got Noctua to double their prizes because of the new separation between stages. It's pure win, guys! Thanks Massman, all good now! Quote
saint19 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Wow, a lot of old CPUs. Seem that I will have to look for an oldest one again... Quote

TASOS Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 All fixed Nope As i see it. You must switch the 1st and 3rd place (same cpu's) but ... skydec is 1st , cause of faster time. havli is 3rd. My result is (9h 5min 59sec 816ms) , NOT 11h Quote
Massman Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 The scores are ranked by "oldest hardware", then "first to submit". Not score. Quote
ogblaz Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Wait, what? How should we beat the first 3 then Quote
