Posted December 20, 201014 yr Something I always wonder ... who are the people that are an inspiration for others to get into overclocking. Post your list of maximum 3 global and local overclockers that inspired you to start this crazy hobby!
December 20, 201014 yr Crew falc, t0p_VD (local guys) and TiN. His article "born to crawl..." touched my heart. But more I was interested by THG (yeah, they're Prommy and LN2 adventures) and overclockers.ru at that time.
December 20, 201014 yr Massman ofcause ♥ Nah; Truth is, first just because it was possible, then my second build, souly to get highest 3Dmark2001SE in my country.
December 20, 201014 yr Dazboots, Maverick_SG1 and MarkGee I think. CustomPC magazine and the BTO benchmark leaderboard is what got me going
December 20, 201014 yr Crysis (the game) : to overclock my gaming setup to run it with full settings, and I saw that overclocking was funny so I started HWBot. Then Turrican : to overclock every hardware I can then Massman : to do some weird score, like worst score possible Edited December 21, 201014 yr by Christian Ney

December 20, 201014 yr It's going to be "Team Japan" and "Shamino". I do respect James, Dave, Charles and Vince for their straight forwardness!! above names are for "extreme OC"! else in '99 it was pure need for speed aka higher FPS and faster renderings Edited December 20, 201014 yr by harshal addition
December 20, 201014 yr general: my classmates ... was cool having more MHZ than them back in 1999-2000 extreme: THG videos on singlestage/LN2 in 2002-2003
December 20, 201014 yr No one, I just start for fun and cannot stop Now all hw masters ; getting every point and cup is one of the best game
December 20, 201014 yr Shrimpbrime, Optytrooper & MrScott with my veryfirst OC and then the whole gang @ ClassicPlatforms who showed me the true meaning of TEAM and what a blast benchmarking is... Never looked back since then...

December 21, 201014 yr I bought my first computer from elmor, asus p5k and overclocked celeron d 420. Built a homemade water cooling system really fast and I guess that's when I first got interested in OC. That I would abuse my hardware with ln2 never crossed my mind, but things change
December 21, 201014 yr crotale got me started, I'd say. Beier is what made me quit. Edited November 1, 201212 yr by Mean Machine
