Posted May 30, 201312 yr Just got this in my email. No NDA?! Source: http://www.teamgroup.com.tw/catalog/detail/data/en/29/750/pkshJp.html Congratulations! Memory Overclocking Starts from Team’s New Record of DDR3 4000MHz Created by John Lam Taipei, Taiwan, May 30, 2013– Team Group Inc., one of the leading memory manufacturers in the world,is pleased to introduce the new record reaching DDR3 4,000MHz that sets a brand new milestone in memory overclocking. Created by world-known overclocker, John Lam, this validated record currently ranks first in CPU-Z Hall of Fame. DDR3-4018MHz CL14-19-15-45 Reached It is the great tradition that Team Group never stops pushing forward the overclocking limit. To explore the overclocking potential on Intel’s upcoming next generation platform, Team Group cooperates with the world-known overclocker, John Lam, to have a journey of overclocking limit pursuit. In the end, John is managed to have Team Xtreem PC3 21300 DDR3 2,666MHz, one of Team Group’s high-end overclocking DRAM products specifically designing for overclockers, go up to DDR3 4018MHz CL14-19-15-45 under extremely low temperature with the cooling system of LN2. Team Group is pleased to witness this great breakthrough that pushes the memory overclocking to a brand new starting point. Full Product Line Showcased for Computex 2013(Booth No.: J0818) Team Group is dedicated in developing overclocking DRAM products for years and has three product lines, Xtreem Series for performance enthusiasts, Dark Series for overclocking beginners, and Vulcan Series for gamers. May 30, 201312 yr Author Surprised to see this in the mailbox. Let's count how much PR we'll see with "we have the best 4000+"
May 30, 201312 yr Author Yeah, Computex already did the awards too: http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/msi_z87_gd65_gaming_wins_best_choice_award.html
May 30, 201312 yr Making claim before the product was launched, that's.......bold. Anyway, Nancy's that good huh?
May 30, 201312 yr I mean... I knew it was tomorrow in Taipei but I didn't get the memo that it was already next week too!
May 30, 201312 yr there's higher valids floating around yeh. I love that they're even freezing the PCH now as well. Vince is gonna be selling his chipset cooler like hotcakes again haha.
May 30, 201312 yr The force is strong within msi, they won the race before it started lol Edited May 30, 201312 yr by Alex@ro
May 30, 201312 yr Mainboard info is blurred on the left, but still visible on the badge. Not that we don't know which board had been used, lol.
May 30, 201312 yr Crew I already posted the validation in my list at XS after John sent it to me yesterday... He didn't post it in his own thread though. I also made a news post about this at PCGHX. @Iubitel: MSI?
May 30, 201312 yr Yea man: http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/msi_z87_gd65_gaming_wins_best_choice_award.html I was reffering to this
May 30, 201312 yr I call mister Ney for fixing that mess quickly next week! Hey! Our honor is involved here!!!!!
May 30, 201312 yr damn dude then what I am going to computex for?!?! BTW why do they blur out everyone else? lol @ the guru3d,I wonder about costs... BTW I am guessing that CPUz world record list isn't auto updated???? Because the i7 top frequencies have changed, now 3770K at 7.2ghz(by John) should be there right under the 7.3... May 31, 201312 yr So someone has to ask: How sure are y'all that this is actually legit? Dude did get banned for falsifying screenshots here, after all.
May 31, 201312 yr Author 4G is very easy on the new platform, pretty much all CPUs can do it with the right single sided memory stick apparently. The reason why this is all a "world record" is because these chips are not out yet
May 31, 201312 yr Hynix MFR Any idea what max frequency out of Samsung is? I have a Corsair 2666C10 kit that I'm going to push with Haswell.
May 31, 201312 yr Author No idea. What will be more interesting to see is what the maximum usuable frequency is. All these high frequencies are nice, but you can't run a benchmark with single sided memory.
