Instead alike Dino just showing off the brand new Corsair Dominator Platinums on facebook I'd rather share some quick results with you guys. First the mandatory pictures : Heatspreader design is nicely crafted and stunningly looking. But they are rather tall and thick, might not be ideal for those that run air cooled setups. Quick OC test with two dimms on the Gene V 2800Mhz 11-13-13 1.675Vdimm 32M stable, tightening tertiary subtimings and C11-13-12 needed a small bump to 1.69Vdimm. Further tightened 2800Mhz to C11-12-12, sadly couldn't complete the PI 32M runs at 1.735 Vdimm. Prolly needs a bump in voltage there... but first the …

hello! I have a technical quastion regarding cpu's. I thought about cpu power, voltage and current and on some point i asked myself a quastion wich maybe someone could answer... Why contemporary processors have for example 60 watts with 1v and 60a current why not 12v and 5a current wuldn't it be better for thermal purposes to keep current low and voltage higher?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a vmod that will give my cpu more than 2.1 volts with the TUSL2-C board. I have seen some results with 2.3+ volts but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I already did the regular vcore mod, 50K VR to pin 22 and then to ground, but the most I get is ~2.08 volts. I need more. I even tried to mix the pin mod with the VR mod but the situation is the same. -David

  4. DH61WW may Freeze within six month use I have three Intel DH61WW Motherboards with i3-2100. I faced freezing problem on all three mobos for last one year. And each mobos are replaced lots of times from Intel RMA(Digicare) and all mobos show same problem. I waste my lots of time for it. In my experience the DH61WW may not ahead a period of six month, if use at least 8 hours per day. I feel DH61WW/H61 chipset has a bug. So no one purchase a H61 chipset motherboards as blind. Coz Intel may continue this dirt chipset for there new 22nm Ivy Bridge processor. Jomesh

  5. Some time after launches of graphics cards come modified versions from partner manufacturers. ASUS now appears to be one of the first with his 7970 DirectCU II. It is a fairly well-equipped cards where everything from circuit boards to the cooler has been redesigned. The cooler consists of 6 heating pipes, which is directly exposed to the graphics core. The tubes connected to a generous heatsink which is cooled by two 100 mm fans. ASUS states that the cooler should be 20% cooler than reference, and 14 dB quieter. It comes at the cost of room and board will take all three PCI Express locations in width. The actual circuit board has been upgraded …

Hey there, I've got a question for the people that know a little of vram, to be more specific, of the MSI GTX 580 Lightnig XE. My current GPU has Samsung chips, but the card died and now it's going to be replaced with a card that has Hynix chips. Are these better or not, or will I not even be able to notice? I'm not really up with the vram, normal ram is no problem Thanks.

  7. Found a guy on another website who claims he reached P13557 in 3DMark11 with a GTX670 at around 1200/1300 boost and a 2500K at around 5GHz. His "proof": Just to be sure, that's not possible, is it?

  11. I don't know why there are two versions of the Nvidia 9300M GS. One have core clock 550MHz, shader 1400MHz and memory 700MHz with 256MB of GDDR3. Another one have (my version, in the Asus X71SL laptop) have core clock 580MHz, shader 1450MHz and memory 400MHz with 512MB of GDDR2. The First version for the benchmark is more powerful but it's not equal to made the two result in a unique hall of fame for 9300M GS. I'm not the unique user with this problem i think. I can overclock memory up to 560 MHz, when the first version with GDDR3 memory have a overclock up to 800MHz. You can see the result. I know very well this harware. What do you think?

Hi to all forum users, I'm a new kind of a guy here and also poor . I'm thinking about getting a new PC at cost about 600$. My question is what processor I should buy, personally, i'm thinking about getting AMD, because it's cheaper. Which of these choises would be the best? AMD X4 640 3.0 Ghz or FX 4100 3.6 Ghz Black Edition? I also have a question about a videocard. Should I take Radeon HD 6850 or NVidia GTX 560? If you have some other cpu's/videocards you would like to suggest, then I'll be happy to hear it. It would be great to know how big power supply must be for such a system and which company is the best producer. My last question is if there are some ti…

  15. In my impression, SanDisk is well known brand in Taiwan for years. My first SanDisk product was CF card for digital SLR camera. After another, I also used or researched other brands CF and SD card. I think memory card is key field of SanDisk. SanDisk has wide range product lines of high spec. memory card. It’s also one of few brands to have SLC products. Previously, I saw some SanDisk SSD products from internet were SATA2 and mSATA. I felt they more focus on NoteBook and didn’t see any SATA3 high bandwidth product yet. However, in March, I started to see more news about SanDisk SATA3 SSD in internet and market. For current competitive SSD market, launching SSD t…

I have tested the ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU II Top GPU-Z is reading clock right but under GPU Tweak, GPU-Z monitoring (sensor), MSI Afterburner monitoring, the GPU Clock is up to 1300 MHz according to all those monitoring softwares. I would like to know if you guys had the same, if it's normal ? GPU Boost is really confusing me.

  22. CORSAIR USA is very aggressive in several hardware fields besides excellent memory performance. In the beginning, they started from mid-end to hi-end Power Supply and SSD. These couple years, they also launched Case, Cooling System, Audio and Vengeance Gaming (Mice/Keyboard/Headset). It reminds me about CORSIAR Dream PC concept in Computex few years ago is in his steps. This time, I would like to share their Case. CORSAIR most entry is Carbide Series. Next is Graphite Series which emphasizing VGA and last is hi-end Obsidian Series. Obsidian Series most hi-end one is 800D. I remember it’s been launching for over 2 years. After then, they launched smaller and chea…

Over the past 4 years, G.Skill and Corsair has been ruling the ram market for benchmarkers, the very top, has been from those two vendors 99% of the time, along the way came some other great products, ADATA, GeIL, Crucial & Kingston did pinch, but they were never truely dominating. However, for the past year or so, there havent really been much activity from Corsair, it almost seems that they dont care anymore GTX-family was amazing product, they always got attention from both allied and foe, it was a serious player, untill GTX8 came(26th May 2011), those were the first that truely dissappointed, maybe the expectations were build up to high, but they did not impre…
