It existed for a little while in 3.0 I think. When you entered say "8800" in the Vga quick search it would list all the variations + (# of submissions). Can we get that back? Extremely helpful when looking for popular hardware. Or if that is too DB intensive how about a HW Popularity Ranking page?

I've got another idea (if you're tired of them, let me know or I won't stop ). The clue is how many boints you can get with a certain testbed or piece of hardware. For example, I've got a good platform for socket 939 and want to check, how many boints I can achieve. I select CPU categories and get a list of records and boints for them. A summarize for each category would be nice. Of course, an application selection should be made besides the CPU one. For example, I've got good hardware for PCMark and can make a good challenge there, but have nothing to do in the rest because of the cooling. And there should be an overall search without defining the CPU (G…

Hello, I would like to suggest some changes in links so it would be better to browse through the site. Country links like http://hwbot.org/community/country/russian%20federation should lead to either http://hwbot.org/community/country/russian_federation/overclocker or http://hwbot.org/community/country/russian_federation/team at least this should be done on the main page - the country block and the page of country rankings http://hwbot.org/rankings/country/ Because everytime you look the country list then want to see detalized on overclockers or teams of the specific country click the one you chose and see the same list again with the only difference that the countr…

If we look at the Celeron category, http://hwbot.org/browseHardwareProcessors.do?cpuSubFamilyId=17 and check to view the Super pi 32M resilts, we can see that s478 Celeron 315 has 19 results. But in fact http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/celeron_s478_315?tab=2drankings#/manufacturer.rankings.do?applicationId=7&manufacturer=intel&hardwareTypeId=CPU_931&hardwareType=CPU&tabid=cpubenchmarks it has 18. Some categories differ on 3-5 results from what is seen on category page and 2D rankings. If we look this: http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/celeron_s478_320?tab=2drankings#/manufacturer.rankings.do?applicationId=9&manufacturer=intel&hardwareType…

Today I've opened the main page and was surprised by three link - the international, romanian and USSR one. What I don't get is what about the ru.hwbot.org - it is working though no link is published. So the question is - will there be a separation by nationalities or by regions or by languages? I don't see any use of the Russian one when there is the USSR local version. What I mean is that the current number and implementation confuses me and I want to clear out the question. And yes, how about making MXS belonging to the USSR ranking? Like some members (TiN for example) who has a custom flag, but belongs to Ukraine rating. MXS didn't select a country becau…

Please can "Bugged score" be added as a reason for reporting a score. Its a specific reason... doesn't deserve "other" IMHO K Oh..... and please can you also add "Beats my score at lower clocks, therefore must be BS"? :D:

Is it possible to search for the most popular CPU, GPU, mobo etc based on number of submissions? As an extension to that, is it possible to search for the most popular component in a given class? 775.... 939.... Conroe...Callisto.... G92.... R580 etc etc K

I was browsing the chipset and motherboard pages and found that the info is shown incorrectly. I mean the records done using the selected hardware. For example, we go to the P3B-F page: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/p3b_f?tab=info I see that the board earned a number of cups but I can't search them because the results are stacked by the result in each benchmark - not the place or boints. It's obviously that a crappy P3-800 will rip an outstanding P2 result so why should it be shown before? And it would be better to view the cups and medals - when you look within one CPU/GPU category, it's easy to understand which results are in top5. But when it comes to MoB…

Not sure where to ask this? Haven't been around for a while and was checking out my profile when under 'achievements' I saw that the Intel achievement only says I have 2 Intel submissions. On the page for the achievement it only says 'Use an Intel Core processor for 50 submissions or more.' But I have 5 Intel submissions for CPU-Z alone and even more for Super-pi and then 3dmark and so on. Then why do I only have 2 submissions counted?

If we search a ranking by No. GPUs, when we hit back to return to the ranking main page, the default returns to "any"... could the search request be "latched" until it is cleared (need a new button for that) ? Its really annoying... I hope that makes sense....

I have several runs to submit for a processor that is apparently not already in the database here. It's a 3400+ Venice for Socket 754. I see 3400+ Newcastles for 754 and 3400+ Venices for 939, but not 3400+ Venices for 754. So anyway, I'd like to enter my runs, but the submission form won't let me do it. If this is the wrong place to ask about this, then I apologize. But I sure would like to enter my scores, so if anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! Zorch P.S. Here's a CPU-Z validation just to show that this CPU exists, if there is any doubt. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1153922

Hi! Is it possible to modify the members rankings on the teams page : http://hwbot.org/community/team/jmax_hardware?tab=members I mean : on the JMH page, you can see that Jmax is ranked first because he has a lot of HW points, but in fact he is not first in the global rankings, I think that the global ranking should be shown (global points + 300 HW points max). As well it could be nice to see in this page the global worldwide ranking of each member. Thanks.

I've thought about this just a smidgen, minus well have it shot down in public. Most (er, um, all) of the 3D benchmarks on the bot are still quite CPU limited. Even vantage still needs a beefy CPU to get good scores. A lot of more casual benchers (Yes, I am biased because I am included) have good GPUs but lack the CPU (and or ram) to back it up in 3D tests. So why not add a bench to the bot that has a very low CPU limitation? I've been told (and I haven't looked this up myself so don't quote me) that the heaven benchmark has little CPU limitation. I haven't checked this myself though. The only other thing I can think of would be running one of the 3dmarks (Proba…

Any chance you could add an option to insert your CPU's batch? Than when you get around to it you could make a page that would allow people to see a page of the batches for a specific CPU in order and there CPU-Z\Wprime\etc clocks\scores and the cooling used. Not a ton of people would participate, but some is better than none

The second issue to address was the sudden decrease in motivation to bench old, rare and exclusive hardware because of the tweaked HWBoints algorithm that attempts discriminate between huge effort and low effort results. Although this algorithm does seem to work pretty good in the categories where there's a bit of competition (~20 participants and more), in the extremely low competitive categories the algorithm makes the curve very steep. The key issue is that this creates a a spiral of non-participance in the category: the ranking has no competitors, so the points are low. Because the points are low, less people are motivated to submit into the category. Because less…
