i didn't figure it out, will try later when i get home. Bottom line is xmp doesn't do jack on several ram modules,it's like it sets only freq but forgets about voltages and timings etc(on x16 and x20b bioses). I cannot figure out how to set timings for both modules in the same time,not to go to each slot and put all the timings again. When there is something which the board doesn;t like ,even the clr cmos has a hard time to get you back in bios. How is it possible they don;t have even a profile for bdie or spi32m or whatever, like the other producers ? Like they remained in skt 775 era with the bios options

Maybe that cpu shines even on older boards,we will never know. Vrm can play an important role in freq and stability,not to mention that evga killed cpu’s in the past with the spikes in voltage untill they released proper bios. Training ram,proper rtls and tertiary,max freq with same latencies i would like to see. The best way are to be compared under ln2 and after ,if there is time, a short test on ambient :).

I am curious about this,but difficult to find someone who is not sponsored and has both in storage. Same test and hardware ,only difference to be the board. Both ambient and ln2.

I think he is asking about a hard mod ,pictures and stuff not to lecture another forum for 3 days. I modded a few os and post it over here without asking users to go through the same ordeal as i did and other users did the same.

I don’t have Ht with 0094 on 8700k,any ideea why ? Ram oc is poor only on CFL,i cannot go past 3866 12-11-11 on same bios,but with 7350k/7700k i can do 4200 12-11-11 easy.

@T.Rex - is it on ambient or chiller ? What temps in idle ? My old cpu - don’t remember to whom i sold it,maybe obscureparadox. Aircooling

Another tim on both die and ihs. Voltages are the same as i used on my wc setup. It turns out it is indeed a temp limit after all,at least in this case.

And another 4 s if you disable 6c and push another 100 mhz. Even if you activate Ln2 mode you can set vdmi 1.2//pll termination 1.2// cpu standby voltage 1.2v // pll bandwith level 0 and you have normal temperature.

Great score indeed,was targeting this one but no chance on my 7700k to even get close to him. I hope this sunday will be a better day with the next cpu.

Congrats,i worked for this also but couldn’t go past over 5650.. Next time put some mobo tab in it as well :).

Do you use sata for ssd/hdd or old school ide with hdd ? I dunno if it was a myth or not , that sata port falls down after a certain pcie freq and also that it’s good to disable all non esentials like lan/audio etc as they might die (Evga had a lot of this issue). Necer tested myself,only what i heard at others.
