I find lower vccin, 1.85-2.05 a lot more unstable. Hi man. So this is how u run it on day to day use ? Dont u think its a bit high ? How(program-method) did u test stability for 5 ghz ? My cpu is 4.8k, 1.302v rock stable with 1.95v vccin under load. If i try 4.9k, its not stable even at 1.38v....(occt:cpu not linpack test). I can pass aida64, xtu etc for hours tho.. November 2, 201410 yr Crew they just need to scale on cold and volts... Testing on air might be a good indication, though it could be you wall at too low speeds in referral to the air indication. My G3258 did 5Ghz 1.385Vcore, though walls completely at +/- 6100MHz. Scaling batches need to searched for...

November 10, 201410 yr My 3418C011 walls at 5900MHz on LN2. 6000 is a no go, even with 2v, when 5900 needs 1.75v to boot. On to the 4770K that Vivi sent!!
November 10, 201410 yr I'll try. It does 5.5 on 1.475v with phase cooling so LN2 should see 6GHz at least, I hope.
November 17, 201410 yr A little disappointing. I could only get it realistically stable at 5.3GHz on 1.475v (on phase) which is ~200MHz short of what I was expecting. I ran out of LN2 before I could put it under there too which is a shame. Never mind, I have another on the way which will get a quick phase treatment and testing before I go to the USA for a while.

December 1, 201410 yr G3258 L421B772 - total crap, VID 1.089, 4500 1.3 with Mugen 3B, did barely 5100 XTU under SS with temps rising up to +24 - http://hwbot.org/image/1296197.jpg. Did also 5200 Pi32M/Cinebench, but 5300 was unstable. It also needs sick volts for cache - 1.3 for 44X. i5 4690K 3440B487 - VID 1.008, I played with it for 30 minutes on air, so far I managed 4400@1.14, but couldn't stabilize it on 4500 (tried 1.167 and 1.175 - was 1M stable but 32M not). If it scales well, it's going to be my 3D CPU. Edit: i5 did 5600 1m and 5500 32m on phase with 1.6 volts, 5400 3d stable with 1.55. It scales well with cold - going from air to phase on 1.35 allowed to go from 4700 to 5100 just by raising multi. Need to deep freeze it Edited December 10, 201410 yr by phobosq
