an z390m ocf is planned ?

not planned no

I tried again last night and you can lower the volts a lot to more like coffee

1.7-1.72vcore seems to be the max of scaling on what ive tried, you can go higher but was less stable for me (1.7 vs 1.72 was almost a full degree colder load)

1.65 CPUPLL can try up to 1.80 there is some scaling (credit to BigBlock)

1.45-1.55 vCCPLL

1.4DMI

1.4VCCIO

1.34VCCSA

2.1CB Killer to help restart at -170ish and can lower to 1.800 in OS not sure it really helps that much

MOCF vrm can handle 9900k no problems. On ln2 no heatsink required, the cold from full pot is enough. However if you are pushing hard on ambient, or even SS then you should use heatsink. Can run without heatsink on air for quick tests fine, but if you benching hard then use heatsink.

EDIT:

Upon further testing from @Splave, its best to use heatsink on vrm at all times, even under full pot ln2

Hey guys, tiny bug with bios 751f and 9900k. If you want to run at stock for testing / os prep ect. You need to load optimized defaults, then manually change vcore mode to offset, leave the offset value auto.

Is updated IGPU vBIOS the same as pcie patching ? "pcie_patcher.cmd biosname"

Just wanting to know if I can run discrete gpu at 16x and not be stuck at 2x

Thank you Nick, Splave and everyone else who made this possible. I have a Z170 OCF. I asked Asrock for a custom BIOS to add Secure Erase as a feature. Would it be possible to add Secure Erase to the custom BIOS? I have the custom BIOS if you need to analyze it. Here are some screenshots:

hey guys I would suggest using the VRM cooler even on ln2 :D seeing like 70c max with it on no fan etc when running an extended load like gpupi even though its less wattage than r15 it is allowing it time to heat up.

Is the VRM heatsink required on air running the 9900k at 5 GHZ? What temperatures would you see in that situation on the VRM at room temperature?

if it is required when the cpu is at fullpot with ln2 around -180C then i suppose its not a question to use it with aircooling in a pc case, there will be definately not cooler. btw I dont remember any situation when it was recommended to use any board without vrm heatsink when overclocking on air/water. if you dont need to insulate board to handle extreme conditions like condensation, i would never consider removing.

How hot do you think the VRMs would get on air at around 5 GHz with the 9900k? There have been alot of reports on Z370 and even Z390 motherboards not having adequate VRMs for the 9900k.

it will be fine just keep cooler on :)

my temps are with vrm cooler on but LET over the top of them so not optimal cooling scenario

Nevermind, turns out pcie is just fine on MOCF. Problem seems to be my board and pcie_1
Sorry for adding to confusion but pcie patcher is NOT needed on MOCF

Some VRM and OCP enhancements nothing crazy though

Any chance on an ATX BIOS with Secure Erase? Its the only missing feature in this motherboard.

I have a custom BIOS form Asrock with Secure Erase but will not work with the 9900k.

it was for kaby Lake/Skylake. I tried activating Secure Erase using AMIBCP but it doesn't show up. The BIOS Asrock gave me is called 7.40B.

I dont even know what secure erase is sorry haha

Damn. Secure Erase is used to erase SSD before formatting. Do you know how to copy a feature from one BIOS to another?

Just make yourself usb flash drive with HirensBootCD on it, boot into the linux rescue enviroment, and use Disk Eraser.

It accomplishes the same thing, is very easy to do, and you can use it on any pc. No special bios required.
