Alex@ro Posted August 21, 2019 Author Posted August 21, 2019 This is what you are looking for, try it and let me know how it goes : Maximus XI Apex 0050 BIOS ( older bios from January similar to 0057 from Maximus XI Gene): 0050 Older Maximus XI Apex 2 Quote
technikswd Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 You are great Alex, many Thanks! ? I will try it after Work ( ~4 Hours left) and tell you for Results. Quote
technikswd Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) I'm sorry to report but version 0050 bios is worse than 0057 ?With 0050 Bios Version it is impossible to use 4400 1T as it was possible in 0057 Bios Version.Could you try to replicate the complete/full code from 0057 Version for Apex XI. Yes i now, but ONLY with the 0057 Bios version on the Gene XI board is it without Problem possible. with 1.48V Dram/1.275V IO /1.275V SA Voltage And that's why I asked exactly for this version if possible to rewrite this Bios completed code for Apex XI Board. I have tested ANY Bios Version for both Mainboards ( Gene XI and Apex XI), but as i say - it is only with 0057 Bios possible. Quote
technikswd Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 (edited) There as example, 0057 Bios Version at my another Computer with another Gene XI Board Sample with another 9900K Cpu sample. It worked very well at all Gene XI Boards and Cpu Samples with 0057 Bios Version!!! Please look at the Time, it for 15 Min. The Apex XI Board is not worser than Gene XI, I now it. The Problem with 1T is only Bios Code self, it would be nice to have the same BIOS code for Apex XI Board. Edited August 24, 2019 by technikswd 1 Quote

technikswd Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 (edited) @dumo -Are your results in Screens 24/7 really suitable? -With manual optimizations from skew, right? -How high are your Dram, IO, SA Voltages? -Did you also test your results with several cpu`s? My questions relate to the following - the results I've posted above have been achieved on several Gene XI motherboards, 9900K, 8700K Samples(i have many more of that things) and memory Kits and the Setting ist 24/7 suitable, btw. for everyday System. But as I said - it is ONLY possible with 0057 Bios ! With ALL other Bios versions it was not, btw. it was than ONLY Bench Stable !, but not as a 24/7 setting suitable. That's why I asked for 0057 Bios version for Apex XI Board, It would be very useful to have this BIOS code for Apex XI motherboard. 5erveD Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 (edited) Hi Gents, Got a question about 3D benching on the Apex XI using bios 0093 and a 9900K I seem to get stuck at around -188. When trying to run 3D benches. Full pot just doesn't seem to be possible. It just freezes and black screens on me. Seems like PCIe coldbug to me. But could be wrong Not sure what to check more. Tried DMI voltage ranging from 1.5 to 1.85. Core PLL 2.2 to 2.4. Internal PLL 0.9 to 1.095. PLL Termination 1.5 to 1.7. Tried several bandwiths from 1 to 6. Also tried changing PCIe speeds. All other settings are the normal ln2 settings which normally work for me with 2D benching. I did't try to switch PCIe slots yet. Board has gotten so wet that had to call it a day and try again later. If anyone is able to give me some guidance or tips that would be much appreciated.@Alex@ro, @Dancop Edited August 26, 2019 by 5erveD Quote
flanker Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 I had same problem, for 2D test it was fine (up to 7000 MHz), for hard loaded test I cant get more than 6000 MHz...It is not much logic Quote

sexpot Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 (edited) Hi @dumo, what A2 kit do you recommend for 4600 1T? Edited September 3, 2019 by sexpot Quote

sexpot Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Do you have a particular kit I can purchase through retailer though? It seems the one with most choices would be newegg.ca. Just not sure which kit to buy, thanks. 28 minutes ago, dumo said: Any decent A2 that can bench 4800c14 tight should be able to do 4600c16 1T Quote
sexpot Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Hey everyone, is the 0057 BIOS still the best for memory overclocking of the Gene XI? This will be used with a 9900K on ambient water cooling with reasonable SA/IO (1.25 / 1.2) and Ram (1.45) voltages for longevity. Quote
technikswd Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 For me 0057 BIOS still the best for 24/7 use Ram overclocking with 1T till 4400MHz with very human IO /SA Voltage! But for very high Ram Speeds like 4600+ (i would say - for Ram Benching only) with 2T is the 0021 Bios from Dancop really perfect. Quote

FireKillerGR Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Hi guys, thought to share the new bios for M11A that helps getting higher CL to work for memory frequency. Before, with CL24 max limitation was 4933 on air. New bios with the same stick and cpu can do 5300MHz easily. Enjoy ROG-MAXIMUS-XI-APEX-ASUS-0018.7z 4 1 1 Quote
