fuzz3l Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Another bug: PNG screens looks horrible... Link to one PNG loaded up here directly from my MacBook: http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=937323 And here the same PNG uploaded at abload.de: http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=wprime1024-3440-1493.8kdb8.png Same issue here: http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=937321 Btw: In Safari the 2 screens are completely black. Even if i download them to my local folder "Downloads"... Or is the error caused in front of the monitor? Quote
Massman Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 No, we've had the PNG bug before and the "open screenshot wants to download"-bug is reported to RB. Quote
westsider Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 If you find any bugs, please note them down in this thread. Much appreciated, The HWBOT Staff. hm somehow my maxmemm result shows silverware with single GPU what the hell is here with GPU Quote
GrGaKC Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Just a thought about this new system, where you don't reward "small" categories as much as "big" ones... If you get minimal boints why open new categories? For instance, new i3 systems come in. Why would anyone bother OCing their system just to get minimal points, if they can find a "large" category like the 3000+ Venice and buy some old hardware and try going in with that and get more boints being 50th with CpuZ there (so, 3004MHz and 2.9 boints) than getting 2.8 boints for getting the best result with a 7850BE Athlon X2 (4028MHz). So, why open up new hardware? I'm surprised ANYONE without cash would risk damaging their rig just for that small amount of boints when they can spend maybe $100 and get more boints. Quote
Lippokratis Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 at my profile the global points for wprime 1024 2x weren't calculated to my global points. Quote
topdog Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) When I click a screenshot this is what I get And from my other PC Edited January 1, 2010 by topdog Quote
Kal-EL Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 if you download the file and change the extension to .jpg you can still view the pic, btw. Quote
PeterStoba Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 No, the popup is back I hate that. Why are people using IE? Quote
eva2000 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 make it user selectable from member profile control panel ? Quote
PeterStoba Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Actually, I've just realised the popup is easier, saves having to load the image and then go back to the previous page. I think I've found a bug, or I'm just missing something here... http://hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=936711 there is alot of comments there, as you scroll down, yes? when I view the thread on the forum, I only see massman's comments. This has happened with a few different things also. http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4500 Quote
PeterStoba Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Ok, but what about these kind of threads, they don't display properly like they used to. http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4508 http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4474 http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4499 http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4498 Quote
riska Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=908715 whats up with that point system i only get 4.2 points together for my 164k+ score with my 4XHD4770 cards thats wrong i say a HD5970 that scores 161k in 3d03 gets 70.2 points whats up with that??? Quote
Massman Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Ah, that topic has been moved to a private section. It's confusing. No, I have to "approve" the posts made using the frontpage comment system. When approved, they show up as normal + are added to post count of user . Quote
riska Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Is it supposed to get so low points for that big a score?? because then i am finished with benching Quote
riska Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Whats the point about benching anymore my score is far a greater resualt than the one at firstplace with a 5970 at only 161000 points but it gets 70 points Quote
Massman Posted January 2, 2010 Author Posted January 2, 2010 Because there are other reasons why you bench besides HWBOINTS? Quote
riska Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 yea maybe but not realy is there you dont get the reconition with this scores you suppose to have i will gladly se any one top my score with the same cards it took me months to get that score Quote
Crew Antinomy Posted January 2, 2010 Crew Posted January 2, 2010 RB, Massman and JMKE - go to bed, guys! We don't need the crew dead, it's not what this thread and the new rev. is about. I hope you'll be sleeping for more than 12 hours a be fresh then. And close this thread for that time or it'll grow over hundred pages ))) Happy New Year! Quote
Bartmasta Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 like people said the gap is too big first 1,5 points ok fine 2nd 1,2 points ok and the 3rd suddenly gets 0,1? so 2nd place takes work but 3rd is no effort at all? and if you say well then try to get 2nd place well too bad i dont have i7 sorry Quote
Aleslammer Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Happy New Year To All Like the setup and seeing some good opportunities with some of my older hardware at present, frustrated by taking a big hit on my HW points and my shinny new 3550 is going to need a pot if I want more than .7 HW points, but hell it could of been worse. Happy cause I can spend vid card money on other needed hardware. Small Prob, my PCMark 05 scores are pointed at each other, so one is not coming up in my user points. http://hwbot.org/listResults.do?userId=19466&applicationId=9 I've points from opening a hardware category, why do you give points for this seems like you need two to compete. And finally is there gong to be a achievement award for the first gal/guy making it to 300 HW points .1 point at time, if this has been addressed, sorry. Ale Quote
