Please post here if you want to add a card which is currently not listed as working. Locate the VRM controller and note the markings. Preferably also take a high res picture showing the VRM and some of the surrounding area for tracking alternative soldering points. Check if the VRM controller is already supported or listed under possibly working. If not try to locate the datasheet. If you can't find any, post here and me or someone else will try to help. If you found the datasheet and can confirm it has 2-wire, I2C or SMBus support (PMBus is also supported), find the pins SDA, SCL and GND (any ground point will do) and connect them to the corresponding pins on…

How to install the eVc driver. Drivers can be found at http://elmor.se/index.php/2013-12-19/new-evc-beta-software-driver/ Driver installation on Windows Vista/7/8 Plug the device into your system. From the Device manager (Run -> "devmgmt.msc") right click the eVc1 device (under "Unknown devices") and choose "Update Driver Software...". In the wizard choose "Browse my computer for driver software". Click "Browse..." and locate the driver folder from the downloaded eVc software package, then continue to the next step. Your system should now find the driver and notify you that the driver has been successfully installled. (There might be …

The eVc device uses the 2-wire/I2C/SMBus interface to communicate with the VRM controllers on the graphics card. This interface works by using two signals (Data/SDA and Clock/SCL) plus a ground reference (Ground/GND), in total three connections. These points can be found by checking the datasheet of the VRM controller (the ground reference can be any ground point on the graphics card). If you have a card you suspect can work with this device, feel free to post in this thread to get help adding support for it. I order two evc2s a couple of weeks ago and the order shipped October 8 , 2020 and was received today October 16 , 2020 , meaning it only took 8 days to arrive via airmail from China to Puerto Rico , package was good and nice job for whoever ships them , that is some fast shipping ? . Thank you @elmor . If you need one , right now it's the time to buy it before they run out of stock , they are well worth it , such a nice ocing tool. Here - https://www.elmorlabs.com/index.php/product/evc2s/ Will give it a test run on my rtx 3090 tonight or tomorrow for voltage control , i have a little army of video cards awaiting to be re-bench with full voltage control ? , fun times…

Since there's quite a few people recently that's acquired an eVc for use with RX480 I'll post a short guide here on how to use it. First off you need to solder the cables to the below points on your card. It's quite accessible and there's no need to even remove the cooler. Then get the latest eVc v1b5 from here http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=88417 Connect the eVc, start up the software and bench system. If the device is not showing up make sure you've installed the driver and that your cables are connected correctly. Select the RX480 profile and check Enable monitoring. You should now be ready to go If you're having problems with your c…

I just bought an HD 5970 and was wondering if it would be possible to use just one eVc to control both VGPU VT1165 controllers by wiring them up in parallel? Or are both controllers already connected in parallel on the PCB?

Hey Connected evc v1 to 5850 DCU You can see when I raise voltage it actually subtracts it by the same amount. +000 +100 is acutually -100 Voltage set with GPU-Z load, other voltages dont change anything. Thanks for any insight excited to get this working as Ive never tried it before.

it is possible to get OCP disable for chl8318 I can scan my Epower and then change ocp with EVbot and then scan again I'm not sure I can disable the OCP with EVbot I can set it to extreme which is probably the highest that can be set via the I2C bus is there anything else you need?

Found a way to upgrade the current firmware over USB by an end-user (http://elmorlabs.com/index.php/2014-05-15/all-devices-now-ship-with-upgradable-firmware/). There's no need for hardware changes but the devices already shipped out would need to be upgraded with an Atmel AVR compatible programmer. This will be useful for bug fixing and eventual feature additions. For example I've been contemplating adding an I2C sniffer function in order to help reverse engineering software behavior and increase voltage limits. If you're coming to Computex and want your device upgraded just let me know!

Thanks to an idea by Jake Crimmins of Corsair the eVc can now be considered an SPD flashing device as well http://elmorlabs.com/index.php/2014-05-17/readwrite-memory-spd-with-evc/

Just used the eVc for the first time and it works great. Card has two VT1165 ICs. One for GPU and one for the memory. Somehow I can only change the GPU voltage at the moment. Not sure why. For VT1165 soldering use Pins 36 (SC) and 35 (SD)

Please do the following: 1. Connect the SDA (pin 46), SCL (pin 47) of the SHE ASP0907 and ground to the 580. 2. Open eVc v1b3 and select Menu then Register scan. 3. Scan Address 46 from 1 to FF before setting voltage with Smart Doctor and after. Preferably also when setting a different voltage (like first 1.2v then 1.3v) 4. Send me the logs Please use this version of SmartDoctor: http://elmor.se/files/SmartDoctor_580dcuII.zip

Hey guys, anyone tried the device yet? I'm really interested in making it work with currently unsupported cards like for example the Galaxy 780/780Ti HOF. (Ref: http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=88419)

Hey guys, just wanted to give drop some info on Elmors latest project Elmor has created a seriously handy little I2C controller he has named eVc. eVc connects via USB to a control computer and the eVc software allows control over nearly any graphics card that supports I2C. The controller works by interfacing with the PWM controller and allows adjustments such as voltages, current limits, load line and power states. This tool opens up lots of possibilities such as adjusting voltages on the fly. We have recorded a short demonstration on how eVc works and then taken an AMD 7790 subzero to see how eVc can open up clock frequencies when the GPU is subzero. AMD …
