I want to help my son OC his 7700K we are purchasing used. He currently has a G4560 with stock cooler and the 7700K should be on the way soon. The seller also has a used EVGA 120mm AIO water cooler he will sell me for $20 used. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=400-HY-CL12-V1 We've maxed out his budget for this 7700K, 1060 SC GPU, and 750W PSU we bought. So I'm not even sure if the stock Intel G4560 cooler will work on the 7700K. But would it be an option to use the G4560's cooler on the 7700K and keep it at stock speeds until he had money for a better solution? Or should he jump on this AIO for $20?

Hi all, I bought my new laptop but has serious problem W/it. the laptop contains: i7 8750H, RTX2060, 8GB RAM. When I play games with the laptop, the CPU temperature goes on 90-100C and makes blue screen on it. I already did undervolting but It is same or little better(Still blue screen) I bought it to play games, but awkwardly I can not play any games...... Plz help this CPU newbie

Hey mates, Im looking into modding a GPU bios for Polaris 10 GPUs. There is a mod by der8auer that increases the limits a lot but Id like to extend these, especially the powerlimit is forcing the cards to throttle whily vrm, cable and gpu temps are all fine, no issues here. There is a Polaris Bios mod tool, but I couldnt edit the bios successfully, every time I flashed one of my custom bios mods, the driver didnt detect the card anymore. Can someone help me getting into bios modding preferrably in general?

Hi all, I'm new to HWBOT and the whole competitive aspect of overclocking. I've been trying to enter the Geekbench 3 multi score for the Rookie Rumble #54 (whatever that is) and the score on the benchmark shows a respectable 22k but when I see my submission in the challenge it's only 1935 and the guy below me is showing 17k, I'm missing something in my subission

Hello, I started overclocking my i5-6600k today, I got to 4.5ghz at 1.3vcore, it ran prime95 stable for about 1 hour, afterwards I went to 4.6Ghz, the CPU didnt like it at all, I tried 1.3, 1.31, 1.32 and 1.33 vcore, it booted, but windows crashed every time. So I went with 4.5ghz 1.3vcore for further testing, everything is fine except CS:GO, it crashed a few times and I went back to 4.4ghz with 1.3vcore, which is running nicely. I had some weird RAM read/write errors [with the 4.5 setting], but they were gone after 2 restarts and did not happen again until now. Overview of the changed values: Multiplier is set to 44. Hi all, New member here. I'm looking for a team to start learning and benching. Don't have an Uber system or anything but I enjoy overclocking and I love to benchmark. Also I'm in the tech sector for work so I have pretty good experience on the software side.

I'm trying to do some 3Dmark 11 benching, but some questions arose when I compared my scores to what other high ranked R9 290 users got. In short, especially my GT3 and GT4 scores are noticeably lower than what I would except. I hope someone who's more familiar with the benchmark might be able to give hints what's going on. So I'm trying to overclock my AM3 system Specs Asus M4A79T Deluxe 2 x 4GB Gskill PC3-12800 AM3 965 Black Edition Kingston SSD ATI gpu I can get upto 240FSB but won't boot above that, cpu was in a different motherboard and was running at 15 x 270 @ 1.55v I have tried everything I can think of and searched the net with no luck Anyone got any ideas how to get higher FSB ? Hey guys, I had this silly problem with 7970 overclocking (have my hands on this card for first time from couple of years now). I got proper GPUPi times when not touching clocks (at default), but as soon as I touch clocks in afterburner (even at 1mhz) the card starts to be like ~ 50% slower. I does not matter if I am downclocking or overclocking. I tried different drivers, tried diabling ULPS and I'm nowhere closer to resolution. Maybe someone had similar problem?

Hello gyes,noob overclocker here.I was using the 5 way optimization tool to rise cpu frequency to 4.8Ghz. The only thing I did was to set target CPU voltage tuning to 1290 mV but even thou the frequency got higher I receive about 50 points lower in benchmark test. My board is asus formula IX, GPU 1080 Ti and 16 Gb ram if this is of the matter.So I'm hoping some of you will point what I did wrong.

Hello! I'm a gamer, who uses the comp for web surfing and some at home office work/word processing. My rig is a Digital Storm (US) system, that I've upgraded with an additional 16GB of Corsair RAM, a PNY GTX 1080 Ti, a Creative SB Z sound card, and a WD 1TB SATA SSD for storage. So I know what the major components inside the box are when I look at them, and can handle routine plug 'n play stuff. Techie or Overclocker? NO! Hi all, New to hwbot but excited to get into it, and OC with you all. The first time I installed XTU by Intel and shared my benchmark it worked. But since then, when I click 'Compare Online' to share in the hwbot community (you guys!!) I get this gray screen browser, with no functionality. Using Chrome, Windows 7 Professional OS.
