Never tested this Benchmark really out thought, but does it use HT or more than 4 Cores? Wanna know, if its time waste to run it on Haswell, or does not Matter

Hello i decided to open again another thread about Rage 128 cards because I put my scores with my Sapphire Rage 128 Ultra 4X on this category: http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocards#key=rage_128_ultra I talk about this situation just hier: http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=46054 But same weeks ago my scores were put on Rage 128 Pro category http://hwbot.org/submission/2280347_stermy57_aquamark_rage_128_pro_2382_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2280355_stermy57_3dmark_99_max_rage_128_pro_5086_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2280353_stermy57_3dmark2000_rage_128_pro_2790_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2280352_stermy57_3dmark2001_se_rage_128_pro_1672_…

Thinking of a new cpu was leaning toward intel, The AMD 8 core 9590 is a ripper, but haven't used AMD in long time and there are comparable Intel chips from what I'm told. Right now using the the 2500k but was thinking of getting I7 4820k. I was wondering if the intel chip 4820k are you able to overclock base, like amd processors. Right now on z77 chipset there's no way to set base clock which blows. Try to justify the 4 core 4820k, vs amd 8 core 9590. I know with the 4820k you gain pci\e lanes, lose IGPU, wider spread for memory. There is the 130 watt, is watt = power / or does it mean watt = heat consumption the cpu can handle. basically benchmarks show 4820k vs amd …

I got this nice ABIT IC7-MAX3 here. The caps seem fine, but they're too tall for my WB mount, so I'd like to replace them. I guess there are better ones out there anyway... This is the first time I've thought of something like this, so I need someone to point out what caps I should get Caps w/red marking: Rubycon 6.3V 2200µF MBZ T0330 105 deg. C Caps with blue marking: Rubycon 16v 1200µF ZL T0326 105 deg. C If there are other caps I should replace, let me know

So, 478 mobo #2 ASUS P4C800 Deluxe. Same PCB as the two other boards in this series. Found vdroop/vdroop/vmem for the -E Deluxe one, I suppose they work here as well, if I feel like trying. I see there are alot of missing parts in the CPU socket area, so I guess I can add a few things (some are present on the "-E" board). Also, cap replacement could be a good idea? I don't know if I have droop issues, but the core voltage is all over the place - this could be due to bad caps I suppose. Large, green caps are d10, and say (M)105C, 3171, 2a, KZE 1200µF, 16v. Smaller, purple/gold ones are d8 I think. Maybe d7. These ones say 105C, 0309, RLX, 6.3V, 1500µF. Chi…

After benching Pentium D 965 EE it seems that something got damaged on my board and I don't know what. The problem is when I start WPRime on C2D, the second core goes much slower than the first one and finishes the counting about 5 seconds later. Another thing is, that SetFSB stopped working properly. It throws errors. I replaced PLL generator for a new one but it didn't help What could be wrong with the board?

Hi there guys, I've got two NF3 250gb boards here which need the caps changing on them. Since they need to be changed, I though that maybe putting solid caps on them might help a little tiny bit as it should reduce the ripple going to the cpu. What I need to know is whether or not it will be a case of finding the exact same rated capacitor in polymer form or whether it was a bit more complicated than that. The caps that need changing are : 6 x 6.3v 3300 uF 4 x 16v 1500 uF 1 x 10v 1000 uF Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I would like to find someone, who got a experience with NTB Compaq Presario V6314EA. This NTB has got Intel 945GM graphic chipset and Core Duo T2350 processor at 1,86GHz under load, otherwise at 800MHz (x6 or x14) and the question is, if the old, dying HDD, could be replaced for any other 2.5' HDD. Or if one have to buy some special, "supported" by HP only. Ideal would be a SSD drive, to make things faster and less baterry demanding, however the question is, if anybody tried that yet and if this Compaq V6314EA will "know" the new HDD/SSD drive. Current situation is, that the HDD is dying as we speak, data has been backuped (some of them aren't even possible to re…

Left my two titans benchmarking for a while. Came back and everything was off and there was an odd smell. I was expecting it to be one of the titans as they'd been running a stress test for a while, actually expected it to be the gigabyte titan not the asus one! However, it seems like the top item marked R33 has gone a nasty brown colour and is leaking some brownish fluid. The top one marked 1R0 is also a slightly orangey colour but that could be normal as it doesn't look damaged. http://www.vortez.net/articles_file/20752_nvidia_gtx_titan_vrm.jpg Pic just for reference, didn't have time to sort it earlier but will take a look, figured this was the best…

Hello friends. I have like many others tried on s1156 for hwbot country cup. I'm running a GIGABYTE P55A-UD4 and the Core i3 550 on LittleDevil single stage, ca -55 Celsius. I remember my first encounter with H55M-UD2H and i3 530, it was a fun platform to OC back in the day and I think one of my first to run DICE on. ANYHOO... I've ran into a problem. I can run Pifast all the way up to 5,66 GHz, 236 bclk, it gives no errors and performance is fine. But as soon as I fire up super pi and start 1M I'm greeted with either black screen or BSOD? WTH? Mobo seems to max out fsb around 240, which I am fine with. After all I think H55M was way easier to clock up bclk with and…

I want to bench AM2+/AM3 but not (bulldozer/piledriver). with ln2 ofc. What's a good PSU? Some light research suggested AX1200, but it's a really old unit, and I don't think I need that kind of wattage for 2d. Thanks

A long time ago I get this old card. It was, even back in his day, low end card. But it was capable of running fanless and as backup AGP card it was usefull. And exactly that is the reason, why I ended up recapping the card completely. That is, because of the problems I having with the MSI PM8M3-V mainboard stability in gaming, I need a rock-stable and 100% reliable AGP graphic card. However this card was unlucky from the day one. First it was unlucky, because it got known bad Licon caps. These 470uF 10V suxxkas show good capacity, yet terrible ESR. 60mOhms is way over what is usable: ...not to mention the little 100uF 16V SMD caps having lost chunk of thei…

About four years ago I was confronted with this unfortunate fact, that computer witch I build for friend, started giving him troubles. The image on screen started going off, PC refuse to start, etc. After a while the PC get started in the end, but it was pretty clear, that once it will fail completely and it will be impossible to start it anymore. Not even with convincing the PC to start anymore. This problem was the more embarassing for me by the fast, the my friend absolutely did no play games at all, so he is not stressing the gfx card much at all. That is why I picked up reasonably low powered (24W TDP) 7300GT with masive passive cooler for quiet operation. That is b…

MSI show on it's website this image, of a MSI PM8M3-V mainboard: As you can see, the Vcore output is populate with 7 Oscon polymer caps. In reality, however, you get this: A strip down version, from 7 caps to 3 (!)... and that is for the power hungry P4 CPU's! Yes, there are also the two top caps, but they are not polymers and even the another top two up are Vcore connected (3300uF 6.3V)... But the main rip off is the caps type used. They are OST 680uF 4V caps, so not a good caps by any way In short, they show you seven polymers, but deliver there OST crap caps. Is not that irony? To make this post more usefull, the caps list for MSI PM8M3-V goes a…

As the official CF-Table is a little bit outdated, i need your help: http://sites.amd.com/us/game/technology/Pages/crossfirex.aspx Did anybody successfully try to crossfire two different R9 Cards. As they are all based on a different chip, i guess not, right? Thanks!
