Hey all, Just wanted to give you guys a heads up regarding the development time available for Q1 2012. We basically spend entire November and December using up all we had left in our buffer on full-time hwbot development. So, during Q1 we're pretty much focused on creating a buffer again, which means we have a lot less development time. Practically, that means during Q1 we'll be working mostly behind-the-scene and only address critical issues regarding HWBOT functionality (major bugs). Will an API be available sometime soon? It would help immensely in deciding what hardware a team should bench for the most profit. Such as api.php?hw=Core+i7+990X&team=BenchTec+UK&benchmark=spi1m Basically I'm asking if HWBot can open up parts of the database for direct query. This is similar to how EA opened up BF2/2142 databases so people could create their own team leaderboards or probe the data. Any ideas on when this will be fixed?

It looks like most teams have lost a lot of points due to members User Points having disappeared Anyone else noticed this ?

I'm seeing "more and more" 3D scores being submitted without any MHz info. Is this a bug in the field or can results be posted without info? Could HWB adjust the code in future so a score cannot be submitted without the MHz field being completed?

As mentioned earlier in this subforum, we have been looking at the feedback we received from the transition to HWBOT R4 and the changes it brought to the point algoritm. We're currently in the process of finetuning the boints and will introduce all changes in one big package which will be included in either R4.2.4 (due 19/11) or R4.3 (due 01/12). FYI - next to the updates mentioned below, we will also implement a fix for the existing problems with the Global Team Powerpoints as described here. Hey, after not having any luck in finding a real good 2600K I am watching speculations on 22nm here (very missleading headline imo..) now. It gives me a bit time to discover the new hwbot features which I haven't followed in detail for quite some time. While doing my first global cup, I figured out it would be fun to challenge massman in Unigine Heaven DX9 with his 7970 The challenge button seemed fine... step 1 - nice and easy: step 2 - for most cases it would do fine but I only want to challenge him in 2x...no matter what card, type, brand. Any chance the challenge options can get enhanced? regards SoF

I don't have that many submissions, so I stumbled across my 4890 aquamark score. It is getting GTPP however it is not my team's best score. How often are achievements updated? Seems like I have been top 20 for over a week but achievements not updating?

Ok, there was a debate about WR points for users in the enthusiast league. What IF...... Some CPU and GPU classes were reserved so ONLY people in the enthusiast league (ie....air & water) could submit results? My thought is that enthusiast league is gonna have a lot of folk in it new to OC.... so it would be good if they could have a few classes where the LN guys couldn't take the rankings and the new guys can get a taste of silverware and competition with ONLY scores they can relate to

If I were to put some radiators in an esky full of ice slurry and bench with this cooling what would it be classified as and would it still be considered acceptable for enthusiast league submissions?

All scores are dropped down one place as if a ghost has #1. Wait - is this supposed to be a Halloween joke?

A lot of people are still confused about TPP. How to get it, how it's calculated etc. Please split the 'TPP' into two: Team Power Points (TPPHW): If you are number one for the team in the specific hardware category Team Power Points (TPPGL): If you are number one for the team in the benchmark Thus TPP = TPPHW + TPPGL And please add these values to the submission page where we look at the bench, so people know which of their scores are earning TPP. It's also hard to find the TPPHW on all my scores, if I have any at all. I have to individually check each one in the HW list to see if it is number one. Long title, but I really can't see how a scoring system that can take points away from a team for submitting new scores is good for the hobby/ sport. Are we all meant to sit down with a pen and paper to work out in advance if our bench session will help the team in any way, and what minimum score we have to get to avoid costing the team points? Two things are gonna run through a persons mind: 1/If this hardware is anything other than great, it wont help the team. 2/ I can take personal bests and submit them.... and hurt the teams bottom line. This is no way to help overclocking reach wider audiences. It's a minefield..... and i'll be honest....…

Hey all, August will probably be a not-so-productive month in terms of new features. Frederik will need most of his spare time to paint walls in the new house he moved into as well as make sure that same house is completely baby-proof by the end of August. If there's some spare time left, we'll just use it to fix bugs and add super-small features.
