suzuki Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 On Maximus 8 Extreme you managed to install xp or to have it working with a bios which allows overclocking on kabylake ??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Quote

suzuki Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 With skylake works, even the memory is good, with kabylake it's zero support. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Quote
5erveD Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 I might misunderstood you there... My bad. I have asked elmor for a new bios. They will look at it. But quite busy I heard. So we need to be patient Verstuurd vanaf mijn MotoG3 met Tapatalk Quote
barbonenet Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 MAXIMUS VIII EXTREME BIOS 3401 maybe they have fixed the issue Quote
5erveD Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I'll ask you to have some patience for Z170 and Kaby Lake overclocking support, it's only been 2 months since launch and Z270 + AM4 takes precedence. Any news on any update what so ever ? It is taken a long time. Should at least have any information about now Quote

Fasttrack Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 At least sad, that the biggest ( and probably the best ) computer hardware manufacturer in the world, has personnel problem, to cover the increased demand for support. Seems I did the right thing to sell my M8E for 300 Euros ( without the OC panel ) and bought an Apex from Amazon.co.UK for 209 GBP ( 250 Euros ). Superior board at a lower price I must admit Quote

Yeah how many companies are ready to support that? Anyhow, I tested 3401 on M8I and it works fine with XP Try it and report back. Quote

Being one eyed among the blind, does not help me in any way. BTW, I do not care about XP. After bios 2202, mem timings on M8I and M8E are off. If someone wishes to continue using Skylake cpu's, he should stick to 2202. Anything newer is a disaster. Thank you for understanding Elmor. Quote

Did you try 3401? Just to confirm, Kaby Lake memory overclocking is not good at the moment? Quote
