Anyone else had problems with ram oc on new bios (f or g ) and 8700k ?

i cannot reach 4100 12-11-11 even o pretested kit of 4200.

i can bench even with Rgb A2 kits at 4080 12-11-11 wazza but not higher than that.

@Gigelz sayd he has similar issue.

Training mems is more difficult on F and G, best to use E for coffee 8xxx's. I spent 30mins trying to train 4133 12-12 on F with 8700k and gave up. E still training 4200+ fairly easy.

Yep, exactly the same. Same mhz. Tested with kaby too.

Tested with E bios for 4-5 hrs now. Much worse than F for me.

Will mod my second mocf to see if it’s board related.

G bios working well here.

Tested 6 modules and all six can run single channel, inside slut, waza stable with RTL 49 6 @ 4133 12-11-11 tight. Voltage range from as low as 1.9v (1.97v real) - 1.94 (2.01v real).

Resort the rest of my b die on this bios, as it seems to work really well with 9900k.

Tested on ln2 yesterday, 5500 max on cpu. And not stable. F and G bios tested. Cpu was 8700k which does that even with air cooling :D

G is working here

If you start having issues high mem speed under tools in bios choose refresh the MEI option and point it to your bios file on usb. Also make sure your mems arent dirty hit it with some CRC QD.

You can directly jump to g yes

@Splave Thanks, didn't catch that.

Some benching from the last week. Just really tested out two pieces seems like both above average samples.

Antique motherboard still doing work.

Not bad, did you have any weird scaling issues with R15? 11.5 was fine for me but R15 went from 2800 at 6.4 to 2870 at 6.7

I feel like the efficiency in the first picture is much better than my highest, and it's running 100 baseclock, 4000 c12-12, and 6.3 cache. It seems like even with higher memory, more frequency (core and cache) I can't match lower clocks/voltages/memory clock for clock.

'the only thing I can think of is maybe is the first time I benched I ran without the heatsink, and weirdly got my highest R15 on the first run, after that scores started to drop (vrm throttling?) and then I moved on to pi. Next time I benched with heatsink back on overtop of the plastidip and it seems like it ran much better threaded in terms of consistency but the second cpu wasn't as good as the first one.

Hey did you bench  on F bios or G? F has some issues, so it's advised to run on G.

Also haven't ran R11.5 so have no idea how it compares.

Think I was running G, and was also with the heatsink, don't remember it getting that hot.

Also yeah I've sometimes found that, with in theory better cache/mem giving worse scores, but I'm not r15 expert and so tend to just get over it, but my one time with R15 and my 9900k I was so far off even I was unimpressed hah.

Same changes as above.

Normal Z170 OCF 7.51A didnt work for me to enable Coffee compatibility. Had to use only the DSanke modded one to make it work an i7 8700 and later the 9900K. Thanks!

@Splave Does the most recent mod bios work with the 9600k?

Does the mod bios work with the 9400f?

I mean, proceccors with prefix F that appeared after coffee lake refresh in January 2019

current one works with F but not R0

I'll post r0 one in a bit

What do u mean about R0?

As i understood, Oc Formula works with 9400f, doesn't it?

Does U0 stepping work with Oc Formula?

U0 processor - 9400f

P0 processor - 9400,9600k and higher
