I look at this results for 4090.... 1st out of 116 give 62 HW points. How is it possible to give 62 points if the HW rules states different... https://hwbot.org/hWBoints#:~:text=Less than 125 subs%3A nr1 equals 50pts

Hardware points: Points you get when submitting identical hardware type for a specific benchmark, e.g. a quad core Intel Core I7 7700K in Cinebench R20). Thus you get rewarded Hardware points versus other Intel Core I7 7700K submissions.

How many points you will receive for your submission is based on the popularity of the benched hardware. The latest point system is based on passing specific submission thresholds.
Six Hardware Thresholds have been defined:

 - Less than 7 subs: nr1 equals 6pts
 - Less than 25 subs: nr1 equals 15pts
 - Less than 75 subs: nr1 equals 35pts
 - Less than 125 subs: nr1 equals 50pts
 - Less than 181 subs: nr1 equals 62pts
 - Equal or More than 181 subs: nr1 equals 70pts

thx will let Tim check, might be a typo that slipped in

Thanks. While I'm here... How does the report button works? If you use it then nothing happens. Does it only message the user with the wrong scores? So no moderators being pinged to look on the reported scores? Thanks.

it should open a menu right under the report button where you can select why you are reporting a score and give you a small text field where you can add extra info.

Dear Mods of HWBot,
I've been submitting results to HWBot since 1st January 2024.
However, the points I've gained / earned in 2024 (247.2 as per January 22nd, 2024) haven't been calculated onto my overall career points.

Could you please kinda check whether something is wrong or not working?
I've seen my points increased a bit (from ~1693 point in December 30th, 2023 to 1707.8 in January 10th, 2024) but it doesn't reflect the overall points I've earned (so hard and takes a lot of efforts) including this one submission.

I thank you very much for your kind support.
Sincerely yours,

riev90

Career ranking is not about just adding up points, its a mix of the 60 best hardware benchmarks and best 30 global scores.

Only a few scores of 2024 are ranked in either the best global or hardware category

What I was trying to say is that some submissions of mine on 2024 are in #1 for hardware points.
For example:
1. https://hwbot.org/submission/5457229_riev90_y_cruncher___pi_5b_core_i3_12100f_4min_21sec_990ms/

(now if you click on the link, it doesn't show as #1, curiously the #2 result bumped as world record:
image.thumb.png.09af3f3d006f606d6569b213bd7fe48a.png

2. Ryzen 7600 submission for CB 2024 #1:

https://hwbot.org/submission/5459653_riev90_cinebench___2024_ryzen_5_7600_937_cb

3. Ryzen 7600 submission for Y-Cruncher Pi-10b #1:

https://hwbot.org/submission/5461447_

4. Ryzen 7600 submission for Y-Cruncher 25m #1:

https://hwbot.org/submission/5458497_riev90_y_cruncher___pi_25m_ryzen_5_7600_0sec_381ms

If the calculation method is just like what you've explained, then these 4 submissions should have been calculated onto 30 Best Global / 60 Best Hardware and be calculated to my career point.

I'm sorry if my post is a bit demanding but I just want to have a clearer explanation on how the calculation done.

It takes a lot of time and effort (1 submission require testing 15-30 minutes to reach it's optimum number).
Thank you for your swift response.

Regards,

riev90

Your first 3 scores all have 6 hardware points. There are no global points attributed as these benchmarks are not selected to get any.

RIEV90.jpg

Now if you go to this page on your profile

https://hwbot.org/user/riev90/#Points

and click on this button

RIEV903.jpg

You will get an oversight of the 60 best hardware submission you did, this is ranked by points given NOT BY ranking or whatever

You will see that your nr 60 best hardware of ALL TIME is scoring 10 points. Meaning that your 3 results of 6 points of the first screenshot will not be taken into account for the Career ranking.

RIEV902.jpg

Your career ranking will only move once you submit scores that get more than 10 hardware points

Thank you very much for your kind and swift reply.

I will keep submitting here knowing the algorithm that you've explained very clear.

It took me couple times reading it, but it's fairly well explained in the documentation: https://hwbot.org/hWBoints

If you want to know which benchmarks give you global points, then you can head over here: https://hwbot.org/benchmarks/ . Only benchmarks with points in the global points column will give you global points.

Prepopulate by previous submission fix is on the way  and will be pushed tomorrow to production fixing the CPU core amount bug

Also the motherboard chipset is accessible so you can match the correct motherboard to your submission

Hi. I see you make changes for the ranking/records. Will there be a ranking list on the right as we had before? Now you need to click your own score or on the nr 1 and you can only see 10 results for the hardware. Thanks
