so to avoid beating around the bush i need the best operating system to use for bench marking for lowest cpu load to get the highest scores possible

Hello. if I run SLI, the Timespy wont start. but if I use a single card, it works fine. I tried reinstalled Windows without any luck. useing the neweste drivers. it works for my friends. Just not me Any idea?

How likely is it to someone over volt a 6700k to 1.6/1.7 on air/aio without frying it and not get any thermal throttling. I'm relative new to overclocking and i thought that it would only be possible on more extreme cooling solutions. Thanks

Pulled this board out of the closet to do some submissions on HWBot. I put the AMD Athlon 7750+ BE CPU in it, by the way. But first, the board will only boot into Windows stable at 235 MHz on the CPU/HTT speed. I tried to see if there was a way to lower the HTT multiplier, but I could not find the option in the BIOS for it. Anyone know what it could be called? Next, if I were to raise the CPU multiplier, it will not show in Windows or act like it even was changed, even all the options I can find are set to manual. Anyone have any ideas on whats happening?

I'm having a hard time understanding whats going on between my Gigabyte G1 980Ti (Hynix) and a friends EVGA 980Ti Classified (Samsung) when running Firestrike 1.1. Both in the same PC, same drivers his graphics score is well beyond mine regardless how much I overclock the G1. Anomaly 1: He picked up 1000 graphics score going from Bios 1 to LN2 bios > Most of the difference was made up in Test 2. Anomaly 2: His card is pulling a far larger score at 1543/2078 then my card at 1595/2178. Is the Classified LN2 bios overclocking the sub-timings of his Vram to completely trump my card in test 2? Curious what a combo of a 390 and a 390X would be for bench submissions? In things like 3dmark it will probably run like 2x 390s in Xfire because of how crossfire handles different GPU's but for things like GPUPI it will use both GPU's at full speed so I'm not sure what to submit it as. (I'm asking before submitting anything as well)

Hey guys i did some changes in the bios concerning the ram timming of my memory .. I do save and exit and run windows back.. When i check into cpu-z it display the factory setting .. I was wondering if theres a way to double check ? Maybe my ram doesnt allow me to change the timming ? Or is cpu-z not the best software to check it

Finally managed to complete my rig Z97-a mobo Pentoum g3258 cpu 2x4 g kingstin ram 120g kingston ssd Cx600m psu I installed cpu-z , and xtu any recommandations on softwares i should get/try ??

I have a strange problem with x08 bios. Running xtu the cpu will start to throttle on current limit even tho the cpu is running on only 5GHz with 1,44V Also it seems like c-states are on eventho the are disabled in the bios. Max current is on 255 (fixed) in bios. With the regular bios I dont have that problem but i cant run mem very tight on those bioses. System in a nut shell: 6700K @ 5GHz (1,44v) Z170X SOC Force Gskill 3733c17@3800c12 (1,83V) Cpu cooling is SS@-45(idle) Advice is more then welcome.

But once I've benchmarked and submitted, I've recieved this message on the website of HWBOT: This profile was made on a system which does not allow overclocking. Try to enabled overclocking related options in your BIOS, or use a different motherboard. Applying downloaded profiles may not work. Any luck for an "easy" and gentle overclocking? Cheers!

Hi, As above, thought I'd try to get back into benching a bit just by submitting some scores of my laptop, which has a Nvidia Optimus chip, which switches (in theory) between the HD 4000 and 660M, however I came to the realisation that it wasn't switching when running AQ3, Catzilla or Unigine (won't run Unigine basic at all which I assume is a whole different story) and was just running them using the HD4000, anyone have any experience with this? From a google it seems certain things can't use the optimus, are benchmarks some examples of software that don't trigger the switch? I can turn off the nvidia gpu in the bios but not the intel. I got a new laptop It is showing 2.7 ghz but its suppose to be dynamically overclocked up to 4.1 but never shows that with cpuz said it showing average of 3.5ghz. My question is. How do I use Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to overclock my speed of my cpu to be faster? what settings do I adjust? for faster processor is it literally just the "Processor Core Ratio?" When I do that to 4.1 I noticed the speed rises in cpuz but the system also shuts down. If the system shuts down, DO I have to up the voltage? also, How do I go about overclocking my 980m 8 gig video card to preform a lot better on high end games like call of duty? Everytime I try to run GPUPI or any sort of GPU compute benchmark or Folding @ Home, my card downclocks to 405 mhz core and 810 mhz on the memory and goes into P8 power state. The card has NO problem in 3D applications, so I'm unsure what's going on. I've tried 4 different drivers, tried using DDU in between them to see if that was the issue and that didn't help either. The card does this even at stock settings, but it never used to. Before I switched to Z170, on my z97 platform the card could fold all day long and run GPUPI no problem. I've sold my Z97 stuff, so I can't test if that's the issue or not. Anyone else know what the issue is or what I can try? …

I have just upgraded my x58 system with a costum watercooling loob. After doing that i can't OC my cpu (i7 950). It runs fine on stock speed, but when i try to do enything it only runs until i lock in to windows. On air i had i running 4 Ghz no problem. Now i just reeboots. Can enyone help me?
