Crew Vivi Posted October 6, 2012 Crew Posted October 6, 2012 Hey rbuass, yes it jumps around in benchmark, maybe make sure the maximum highest is only 1.78. so start at maybe 1.68 idle Quote
rbuass Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I see... That's a really high jump ... lol Keep your great job Quote
michaelrw Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 the difference is, vid mod locks the card to 1.4v. some cards red screen at that volts booting in to windows. So if you have an unlucky card you will have some problems. Vid mod also limits you to 1.62v in Ab. which is too little. You can still own with vid mod tho no problems. Vcore mod is like a normal mod, goes from 1v to 1.35v. then do the rest with AB DON'T use vcore mod with the NORMAL ln2 bios, that ln2 bios has some weird volting going on so you might see random .2 jumps in vcore. The MOA ln2 bios is perfect tho is this the bios youre talking about? E7737IMS.MOA http://downloads.hwbot.org/downloads/BIOS/E7737IMS.MOA Quote
subaruwrc Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Hi there. Two days ago I received a sample to test with, here is the result. This card is my love http://prohardver.hu/dl/upc/2012-10/91661_13008_ph.jpg Quote
BenchBros Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Hey guys, is there a BIOS with disabled boost function? Normal and LN2 Bios on my card make the clocks jumps around... I found the NVInspector thing to force P2 PState, but its a bit weird with setting voltages with ABX and Clocks with NVI, because NVI add also some voltages with higher clocks... strange! Is there a work-around for fixing that problem? Or how do you guys set voltage and clocks? You all using the VMod? Thanks! Quote

Lots of ways to do this, start here (AB 2.2.4) since you have been trying ABX 2.2.3 This was from UnWinder 680 Lightning On 2.2.4 you may edit Lightning hardware profile files (.\Profiles\VEN_10DE&DEV_1180....cfg) and add the following lines there: [Settings] VDDC_Generic_Detection = 0 VDDC_CHL8318_Detection = 46h VDDC_CHL8318_Type = 1 Those lines disable NVIDIA's capped voltage control module, enable voltage control via direct access to CHL8318 and select offset voltage control mode for it. Note: each card profile must be edited for SLI configs. You can add this to the "OEM" file of many/most versions of AB, I know 411 HWBot works here I think I have one saved LN2 BIOSs FOR THE FIRST 5000 LIGHTNING 680s 80.04.09.00.F7 (non-LN2) 80.04.09.00.F8 (unlocked LN2) AFTER THE FIRST 5000, WE'VE SEEN THESE LN2 BIOSs FROM THE FACTORY: 80.04.28.00.3A (unlocked LN2) 80.04.09.00.3A (unlocked LN2) 80.04.47.00.19 (locked LN2) 80.04.29.00.3A (locked LN2) 80.04.28.00.39 (non-LN2) 80.04.47.00.18 (non-LN2) https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-msi-gtx-680-lightning-owners-club.1280007/ EVC should hook up here !
