  • So when will be announced the winners of the random giveaway of 3* G.Skill 2400C9 kits ?

@der8auer

Not at all

Unfortunately Greece is out this year for many reasons...

Maybe just for the participation

Notebook is still doable for pi round, but that Aquamark FX is really hard for us to complete. Until today no sign of another 2 athlon FX (FX-55 + FX-60) to complete that stage. Have been around to old pc stores, 2nd-hand market, and found only one FX-62 but not the others. There's one FX-60 on ebay but the buyer won't ship to Indonesia. Argh :( :(

guess I made some obligations and will be posting something up tonight... could be complete crap, could be ok. who knows... and for what stage?

^Feel your pain bro, I have the FX55's but no board, I refuse to spend $100 on a bunny extraction board I won't ever use again.

Send them. PM me if you want. :)

Care to share what driver you are using that allows you to adjust memory timings?

Also we must have different cards if your card is not passively cooled.

Pro-tip: if your card is passively cooled by stock, you can put a fan in front of the heatsink to mimic air cooling

:P

It is on the passive stock heatsink (yes, the same Zotac card, no fan attached, no mods), but it took several days to find how to overclock ram and it went through all team members :P

Driver might be important, or I'm just trolling :D

No worries, I have been battling with this bunny all afternoon, and what I can tell you is that all 331 drivers are shit for this card, so much fail it couldn't even run stock clocks.

I can say 327.23 is working quite well minus memory oc, but I will be working on that tonight;)

And last night benching the APU:

A tip for all cooling the VRM's is critical for stability as they get very hot, now to just figure out the efficiency part lol

Benched 4 hours with the MSI board last nite for APU... no efficiency at all... got no clue why I can't even beat my GB UP4 score, this with 600Mhz more on the CPU, 250Mhz more on GPU and similar ram/speed timings... something is totally off on that board...

^Feeling the same on Asrock Leeg, but I have a feeling it is A88X vs. A85X implementation is better with some vendors rather than others.

Gigabyte and Asus seem to be pretty close efficiency wise, but I am thinking about grabbing a UP4 as everyone has very efficient scores.

I have only tested with PSC so I am throwing the Samsung in to see if maybe that helps. Vdimm seemed to make things worse, 1.73v was optimum for 2600 9-12-9-28 2T.

Ohh apu, why so fail?
