Currently it was set to 100 or more check out the new excel I made, we will raise the threshold to 125 or more for the 70 pointers.

I understand the control points. 7 - 25 - 60 - < 125 and > 125.

I don't understand.

Last rank 92 HW = 11.6    Good no no questions   LESS THEN 125 works

Last rank 100 HW = 40  why, with a maximum rank of 100, counting turned on MORE THEN 125

K We did the changes to hardware boints only ( new globals for this weekend )

Specially for Semjon the E8600

+/- identical points up to spot 120 with the new versus the old config. The new one scales up to spot 287 till we reach the 2 minimum points. The old Hwbot gave 2 Points up to 180th Spot. So +/-100 users get some additional points

I think the new points look good overall!

The one imbalanced thing is hw points for more than 100 subs. Place 50 gets 46,x points. Improving to place 10 gets 50,x points. That's not much of a reward in points compared to the leap in ranking. Too easy points in my opinion, there should be a steeper drop from place 4 to 10 or something in the +100 subs rankings.

31 versus 44 points now Tobias

because this is not normal. last place, stock sub and 40 hwboints?

It's about time. Rewarding learners and beginners.

2 points as it has been for a low score. That is discouragement for someone starting to learn HWbot.

Past revisions has shown us, experienced overclocker's leave.

As they feel their previous best efforts have been punished with later adjusted low points.

Welcome the changes and hopefully many new members join.

Still good my man. You have a tough job trying to please the masses.

Thank god for your patience. I could not do it, I'd be ripping heads off here

Exactly what HWbot needs is participation, more of it with newcomers

Is the point re-calculation done or still in works? https://hwbot.org/benchmark/gpupi_-_1b/rankings?hardwareTypeId=videocard_2716&cores=1#start=100#interval=50

Edit. I expect it is as this in many HW leaderboards.

Scap it. The re-calculation is most likely in work and still needs a few days more.

atleast now it looks like we get points for overclocking even if we are not no 1 LN overclocker or professionals with infinite budgets ? surely makes it more fun on Air and water cooling. that will drive more new people to the site for sure so it wont be a dying site for the 0.0001% only.

LN2 oc makes up 8.1% of members submitting scores in first month of this year.

Enthusiast league was bigger before, previous years. Too many lost members with new revisions.

Not great numbers, iirc 700 down on last year

Elite league (22 participants)
Extreme league (115 participants)
Apprentice league (69 participants)
Enthusiast league (327 participants)
Novice league (143 participants)
Rookie league (1146 participants)

hwbot.org front page you have this section. Today`s top benchmark scores.

Why not a section for the Rookie league? This gives them a space to show off their prowess

Encouragement for new members is key. Sometimes it's just a few kind words

How many revision have you seen Mr Scott? All of them. I'm guessing 5 members on that team as well.

What happened every revision " change and upheaval " from the beginning. People get the shits and leave.

Best efforts on old parts the points adjusted became next to useless.

I have patience in abundance.

90% of HWbot user's are air and water cooling. The unseen unheard are keen to be seen and be heard finally.

maybe we see people push the other benches harder then for the extra reward

I swear every time there is revision I got dropped from first place :D yay +300 in the lead to -50 in 2nd

are we really going to keep 1x 2x 3x 4x 01 and 03 XD its kind of becoming a meme of itself at this point.

3rd place in 3d = 1st place in 2d....there is what like 20x the competition in 2d vs 4 guys that bench current 3d since they get sampled cards? why is the value added to the less competitive areas?

I know I’m old and slow but I’m slowly working on going 3/4 way with gtx-470<->gtx-970 & gtx-480<->gtx-980ti ? I like being first at the bottom.

Are we going to be able to properly edit some of our submitted submissions that are incorrect? I have several but 2 that are easy to understand are - 1) I sub a R9-280/290x as a EVGA card but can’t change it to asus, sapphire, msi as it should be. I have a asus crosshair vi hero that I subbed as a ch 7 hero.

Thank You

For Your Time.
