Posted September 30, 20213 yr Now that TC is over its a good time for the community to start suggesting stages for country cup. Should help keep us occupied while leeg is busy moderating scores. Anyways for my suggestions I think some basics, should be a 32m stage, igp stage, ycruncher stage at minimum. Also should keep it to newer hardware as is tradition for cc Comment below your thoughts and whatever you're thinking
October 1, 20213 yr As we are now finally moving on from Skylake I'd like to see a "bye bye Skylake" stage one sub per generation 6th - 11th gen. Ideally something fun that really shows the singlecore IPC differences like Pifast or SP1M but SP32M would fit the bill as well imo.

Cinebench single core, maybe? Like R15 Also, y-cruncher was fun to bench. Wanna see more of it ? For gpu, TSE would be a good addition ^Everything above is only about modern stuff, please, dont force us to run TSE on 775/am2?
October 1, 20213 yr Probably make all stages BenchMate-enabled? I don't really like BM but as it should be our future, let CC2021 be another testdrive for benchmate. I suppose it will limit hardware to 478+/754+ but I don't think many are interested in too old hardware anyway.
October 1, 20213 yr That won't work for 3D though. But CC is normally more modern that TC, so I guess BM will work for some of the stages.

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't any stages that ddr4 wasn't allowed.
October 2, 20213 yr Author Oh as much as I might hate running them, we should probably do 3dm01 and 05/06 stages. And firestrike, Timespy, and port royal. Superposition, and gpupi for gpu and cpu, and 7zip Edited October 2, 20213 yr by yosarianilives

Wouldn't 11th gen need to be excluded since it's not based on Skylake?

October 5, 20213 yr I just bought an X58 MB and I want to learn how to use it. Please make one 2D stage based on X58 ?

However when it comes to maximum like LN2 - it puts spokes in wheels... How about some junkie stages, like "Only 6GHz+ submissions", restore "DOGPILE", or maybe do "Slowest GPUPI, or SuperPi"? Sounds like fun If there is no place for that - how about "only motherboard IGP" stage? Can be fun to tweak & mod.

I like the idea of Gma, but honestly I think cc should stay ddr3+ 6+ would be cool but I think being able to sub on ambient is nice. Slowest score is interesting Dog pile I'd enjoy cause always nice to bring out collection but again idk about in the comp...

October 6, 20213 yr Slowest score is not CC IMO. Some of us have summer holidays with friends and beer to be drank when CC is happening. Maybe a stage on ambient is good, but also need things to the extreme. GPU GpuPi is always a fresh change from normal 2D or 3D also.
October 6, 20213 yr I've always enjoyed benches that consisted of stages like: 5x Highest BenchX score, using 1/2/3/4/5/6/8 etc. cores 5x Highest BenchX score, using 4 core cpus, different sockets only. 5x Highest BenchX score, using different chipsets/GPU familes.... Oh, I just thought of this one. Fastest Spi32M score, using 9-9-9-20 4000MHZ memory (ie, dictate the timings and maybe frequency) Just don't go too wild this time. Covid has ruined logistics, so getting last minute hardware is going to be a pain.
