Intro

So, let's get a thread going!

Format:

stepping - wafer - max multithread bench - max singlethread bench

V206003P

# 1001: 6100 / 6300 (weak IMC, no CB, ES)

L148C692

# 1336: ? / 6400 (no CB, ES)

Well your chip doesn't have a matching suck ass IMC :P

It seems like chips with good IMC's tend to clock well also.

but ya 6150 full pot is pretty bad considering there are people benching on cascades at 5900-6000 at only -80c.

Posted
and there were claims that IB is hard to kill........So what exactly did you do??? :P

I didn't do anything but load a few drivers at 4.2 -80c.

Got a new one today. Excact same batch, ut oh!

Those pesky drivers.... get ya every time! :P

Gave two E1 E.S. just... 2.08Vcore, both are alive and kickin'

PLL down to 1.7V ( none of the two worked below 1.7Vpll ), and up to 1.925V ( none of the two POSTed above that value, debug 00 if I recall correctly on the MIVGZ )

Vimc up to 1.25V

The better of the would hit 6.5GHz for validation if only I'd given it 2.1V - 2.125V but I didn't, felt sorry about it :P

Can't wait to receive my first retails ( I have a good feeling :D )

My experience on the first chip...

SR0PL Batch# L206A973 5.72GHz at 1.75V would do wp32 and wp1024. Trouble getting into windows at 5.8GHz, though with more time/voltage I believe it could do it.

Cold boot bugs at -85C at the base of the pot, cold bugs around -115C at the base of the pot (my current temp probe reads -180 when dipped in LN2, so actual readings on probe were -75C/-105C). Tested CPU PLL from 1.7V to 1.95V (default read 1.812 in BIOS). Tested bclk from 105-110, trouble getting higher bclk to post. Tested CPU voltage from 1.0V to 1.75V. None of these items, with or without LN2 mode enabled on the MVG, made any difference at all upon the cold bug behavior of this particular chip from what I found.

I did not test RAM. Really only tested cold bug behavior, and once I found I couldn't work around it with anything I was trying, I didn't want to press the chip any harder - it will be sold.

Looking to get another from a different store (and hopefully different batch) in the next week or two.

L206B302 didn't test max frq but only IMC

1600 BOOT

1800 CODE 23 haha

incredible but real.

PS: to who says CPU rated to 2133

tried 1600 1800 1866 2000 2133 2400 2666 2600

i RMA it tmr.

My 3570 had a stinker of an IMC but not that bad lol. The difference between some of these chips is crazy.
