too much,pls visit facebook.hkepc.com.

I always kill my cpu, vga and mb in my stupid research project, Mad222 very afraid I will kill his 7GHz CPU, good MB and good VGA.

If I like to use mad's result , I will not spend too much affort for stupid reseach.

I don't think someone there never kill their CPU when they want to push the limit , I always do the same thing like them , may be I am not good enough because I killed too many.... ;)

I know Massman and Ney join HKEPC's facebook , they will see a lot of stupid idea come out , I can tell you that Mad don't like those stupid idea , that's me.

To everyone,

I need to say sorry for my mistake , this is my careless and never double check my result. I really have 4m49s record using my ES , but this time we are using Cookie's OS and SSD. every OCER have their own OS Trim, we don't touch his Ghost image and let him arrange the result.

Cookie's OS have a Capture.exe which can cap screen and save as jpg , the name is "screen0xx.jpg"after the benchmark session , Cookie copy all the screenshot to us.

For Mad , He like to use his own capture software and I like to set clock Modulation to 50% or 82.5% , then open CPU-Z then back to 100% press "print screen", then back to Modulation to 12.5% save screenshot by MSpaint.exe , the filename is related to benchmark and result .png.

In this time , We bench 2 days non-stop until he need to take taxi to air-port , he copy all of result to one USB drive then gone , he also left a lot of stuff in our office too.

sounds plausible. and in my opinion, why would someone who has so much going for him risk it all for something like this. i believe it was an honest mistake, but that doesnt mean there shouldn't be a consequence. there should.

After I finished the Plextor's event , I back to office and join UP7 benching party , Cookie is so crazy , we bench from 1:00 PM to 4:00 AM , sleep awhile then rebench again,

One platform use my method to put rice + paper cat litter for benching because Mad's CPU have CBB @ -120C , you can see there are 2 different platform setup in our benching session.

Why Christian Ney said he believe we have several 7GHz Chips , because we bench together through Internet , This is batch 3218C120 , we discuss how to use another method to keep CPU cooler rather then LHe, because LHe is not allow to use in Hong Kong. As u see , when my CPU reach -195.1C (my Type T line max is -196.4C) , the Rice and Cat litter is already -54.6C , just like we benching a room temp is -54.6C, we need faster cooling response time.

i want to know more about this rice and cat litter. what are you using it for?

Cat litter and vaseline, get OFF MY HW....

Rice on the other hand, fits in perfectly between dimm when doing subzero on ram...

CPU you can easily bench for 18 hours+ without anything but armaflex, unless you are a pussy that is.

for long time benching and keep the platform dry and cold, if your CPU have CBB problem, this is the best way to keep your MB in best condition.

If you benching in a room temp at -56C , your memory can reach hgiher , the CPU pot effiency will increase, faster respone time. when your bench super PI 32M, you will know why I can keep thr CPU cooler than who benching in a room temp at 25C

I think he means the cat liter and rice is creating a "technical" room temp -56c for the motherboard itself.

Ahh just holding the cold in gotcha, and not his ambient temps.

And I thought vaseline was messy:D

Correct !! "Technical room temp" , also no air flow.

Small update on consequence of this thread.

- 32M result is removed (obviously)

- John Lam's account suspended for one month

Why account was suspended?

Because of submitting the wrong 32m score which did not belong to him.

but why only 1 month?

My teammates (12 and Diabolo80) was banned on 1 year for wrong 3dm06 score which did not belong to him. They said too, that it was mistake. I disagree with double standarts. The punishment user, which submit score, which did not belong to user, must be same. Why i was banned on one year in same situation in 2007 year?

Because it was 2007 and now it's 2012. HWBot Revs changed and sharing has much less impact on the team rankings. With the HWBot rev4 we also changed the rules of punishment.

Actually they admitted it in the end if I remember correctly. So these are two completely different incidents.
