K404 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Ummm.... could it be longer than a weekend? There will be a lot of people there I have never met. If it is just two days, I could spend all that time talking and not even turn on a computer Quote
Massman Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Do you think people would take a week's holiday for this? Quote
knopflerbruce Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I voted yes, too. Not sure if I can, but we'll see Quote
Wizerty Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Yes (depending of my wife's job.... or i can come with my child ? ) Quote
SF3D Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Yes, I would come and that entrance fee is very good even for students. Â Main thing is flight tickets. Would you need to pay them yourself or would they be covered by organization? What about hotel etc? (just make sure there is good flight connections from Finland to event area ) Â Southern Germany is fine. I will rent some supercar and do that 300km/h on autobahn as I failed to do it last summer Quote
der8auer Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Only the event will be covered by us. You have to pay for flight etc. Â There will be a seperate area where you can sleep. If needed we can help you book a hotel which you have to pay yourself tho. This is the only way to organize such a big event open for everybody. Quote
SF3D Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Sure. That should not be a problem for most people.  Damn..they ask 1K€ for a day with Lamborghini.. Quote
Crew Turrican Posted November 3, 2013 Crew Posted November 3, 2013 Sure. That should not be a problem for most people. Damn..they ask 1K€ for a day with Lamborghini..  There are cheaper cars that can do 300kmh+. Quote
K404 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Do you think people would take a week's holiday for this? Â Ask them MOA, GOOC, CES, Computex, CeBit, Campus Party...... people will do it if the event means enough to them Quote
Massman Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Yeah, but all those events are in a city where there's actually something to do outside overclocking. I've noticed that for many, the two weeks of Computex was a lot already. People are bored of CeBIT after a couple days too. Campus Party seemed alright, because there was plenty of benching. MOA and GOOC are only a weekend too, except for the grand finals where people extend their stay because it's in Taipei. Â Dunno if there would be a lot of people staying for 4 days or so. Quote
TaPaKaH Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Why not at least make a possibility to stay longer for those who want it? The rest can limit their stay to the weekend. Quote
der8auer Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Because the venue for such an event is not cheap at all Quote
riska Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Make it so it starts on thursday and end monday then people can arrive thursday or Friday and leave sunday or monday.. Quote

Like Amsterdam.              Ya know... for the tulips and culture and stuff.... Quote
