  1. Started by K404,

I did a session, got my scores... stuck the card on Ebay, sold it... now I realise a 3DM05 .jpg and .3dr file from the session are corrupted, as well as the .hwbot file for Unigine.... Can anything be done about the .hwbot file? *is hopeful* Thanks Kenny

I dont know much about the validation process.... I think I remember from old, that as soon as a new CPU-Z version was released, .cvf from previous versions wouldn't be accepted on the canard site? Because of the bugs, I don't really wanna use the latest version... do I HAVE to use it or can I stick with 1.55?

  3. In particular, this submission: http://hwbot.org/community/submission/562329_jollen_cpu_z_pentium_3_celeron_766mhz_1345_mhz The validation link is bad. Since it's so old, should it be reported? I'd feel bad reporting such a submission that has stood the test of time, but then again, it stands in the way of me attaining a gold cup.

Some motherboard are marketed with the ability to use two different types of CPUs - perhaps either socket 775 or 478, for example. Third party manufacturers also offer CPU socket adapters that perform the same function. Is the use of such CPU Socket adapters allowed for HWBot benchmarks?

What screen resolutions are permitted for PCMark05? Or is there only one resolution allowed? If so what is that one?

Hi! Why this category http://www.hwbot.org/hardware/processor/pentium_m_1.7ghz is named 'Pentium M 1.7 Banias' when all results in it actually made with Dothans? Banias and Dothan have strong differences in L2 cache sizes (1M and 2M) and tech processes (.13 and .9). Thanks!

The fact that happened in the last issue of the MOA 2010 (Lords of Overclocking), when Andre Yang was caught sharing results was only possible to be discovered because there was a validation of Futuremark. I can not believe that the results of this year's (Vantage) do not need orb validation. Thus, problems such as "give good results for friends and Photoshop, will be almost impossible (or impossible) to be discovered. It is urgent to fix the rules, making it mandatory to validate the results of the MOA for Futuremark, or we have a festival of bad things happening. If the validation for HWBot is necessary to win a stage in an international competition is essential. I…

  12. Started by OptyTrooper,

My submissions/rankings are all screwed up. For example my Pentium 4 Prescott 3.0 dropped to 4 with an old submission:http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/pentium_4_3.0_ghz_prescott?tab=2drankings#/manufacturer.rankings.do?applicationId=9&manufacturer=intel&hardwareTypeId=CPU_343&hardwareType=CPU&tabid=cpubenchmarks Yet if you look here:http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1038771_optytrooper_pcmark_2005_7862_marks it still is listed as receiving points but the model has been removed. That was a valid submission with a proper screen shot and I see no reason why it dropped in rank. I'm hoping there is a bug and someone isn't being a douche. If th…

I thought unreleased hw was not ranked? Even if so, if the person doesnt want to be ranked, shouldnt the 2nd place get the first place points? I might add that they are great runs though so no offense to oxyyy just wanted to know.

Earlier today I had like 9.7 global points and now I have 1.10.... Don't see how this is possible seeing as this submission alone is worth 3 globals:http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1063336_optytrooper_pcmark_2005_pentium_4_631_11273_marks I forced recalculation but no good. This isn't right either. How can both my 1 CPU PCmark05 submission, my X6 AND my X2 submission both be worth only team points? Has to be one or the other guys. I dropped from 567 to 602st?!?! Not likely! This has me a bit irked.

http://www.hwbot.org/community/submission/1019106_mr.scott_wprime_32m_athlon_64_4000_san_diego_50sec_265ms&popup=true This submission was blocked because the SS was destroyed by the server crash. You can plainly see that the whole image is distorted including the desktop, not just the applications running on it. I don't think that's very fair. I can report missing/bad shot's too. As a matter of fact I have, and they we're let go.

  19. I see/ report a LOT of scores that have been run on Vista or 7 and have bugged scores. For the benefit of result mods, would HWB consider adding in a special warning to users to make sure they check their scores + sub-test FPS to make sure they all make sense and are in line with other scores?

Hi guys!! I think that it´s a litte problem with this card because it´s listed as GTS 430, and in the market the card´s name it´s GT 430. It could be great if you can modify that. See you!!! Edit: i´ve made a submision with GTS 430 name, should I change something???

Need some help from hwbot staff here to clarify some things. A couple of ago ASUS Nordic, Kinc and Elmor invited a group of overclockers, myself included, for a ocweekend at their office. ASUS supplied us with everything, hardware, ln2 etc. We teamed up in pairs an took turns benching an pooring LN2. Lots of scores were produced and posted on hwbot and we all gained points from our individual resaults. No score with the same configuration was posted twice. The event was documented and posted on various forums, you can read about it here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=253453 Now, this event caused an argument on some swedish hardware forums, so…

  25. dudes I think I know what you are going to say but I'll ask anyway. I was benching wprime 1024 and I got all the way down. I was really ripping but it froze right before the final screen but I took a scrnshot anyways hoping so I could show it to you guys later. is more time added to the score at the end of that last line to get the final screen or is it the same time as the last line? the reason I ask is because if its the same time as that last line in the run then this should be acceptable. or not? lemme know. I'm kinda new to wprime and not really sure how it does scores. please dont laugh. is this worth anything? result in question is 213.687.
