WARNING: The GPU fan is not working after using this tool. Temperature readout is also not working. It's easy to fry your GPU if not taking care when using it. Use at your own risk. Realized this card has been left out. All you should need is EMBD for this card by The Stilt. Let me know if there are any problems.

Trying to install Catalyst driver 13.9 on Apex for 3870 X2, OS is W7 x64 SP1. Updated BIOS to newest for the board, installed all Windows updates, changed PCIEx speed to 2.0 and still as soon as the driver starts to initialize, BSOD with ACPI error. Anyone have any ideas on this? Been driving me insane for a couple weeks now Happens with some Nvidia cards as well but don't have problems installing older cards

I present you with a simple guide to unlock voltage in AB for AMD cards removing the need for ABX In this guide I'll be using a memory editor called Artmoney and AB 4.3.0 but it will work with a different memory editor and AB versions but addresses change Note: This is technically a hack so user be were as changing something you shouldn't it could have unforseen effects To begin with open Afterburner and artmoney and select "MSI Afterburner" in the drop down box labeled "Select Process" Next click "Search" and change Type to "Custom" and click on box in red. Once that's done a box saying "Select type" and deselect all but "Integer 4 bytes" and "OK" …

Hi. While installing a cpu cooler it slipped from my hand and fell on the backside of an Asus RX470 Strix card. As far as I can tell it tore off the solder (and thankfully not PCB copper pads) about 6 SMDs. Can somebody please share or measure the parts missing on the attached picture? Much appreciated. J

Hi. Anyone have any idea why my (Not sure about the rest) Club 3D HD 7750 memory drops to 800Mhz when i raise the core over 1035Mhz? Currently have the core at 1320 Mhz, but sadly the memory is holding my FPS back all around (DDR3 cards... Memory clocks holding it all back). Anyone had something like the problem I mentioned above? (Screenshot in attachments shows 885Mhz, MSI afterburner shows 800, so does Hwmonitor. FPS lower anywhere higher than 1035Mhz)

I cannot change the voltage of the second GPU in crossfire. Wondering if I can do a BIOS flash or if there is a special tool to be able to do this? Or if my only option is volt modding the card (which I intend to do anyway at some point in the future) Running 2x HD7950's on a giga Z97X-SF http://i.imgur.com/Cw9oVyl.png

Hey guys! Just got an email from @tiborrr from EKWB with this nifty little software application attached. In short: "It is an add-on execute for MSI Afterburner. Save it in the root folder of your MSI Afterburner installation, place the shorcut to your desktop and run it as administrator. Works with any GPU that utilizes IR3567B voltage controller. Up to +150mV in 'normal' operation. Tick the checkbox to unlock up to +500mV." Download: click Enjoy! :celebration: :ws:

GPU Voltage up to 1.6V in GPUTweakII "Cold slow" problem solved Always using 3D clocks Always using PCIE 3.0 TDC = 75A, TDP = 72W (highest possible from BIOS side) Hopefully there will be a solution to get higher TDP limits soon. update: TPD limit solved by The Stilt, run RX460_XOC.exe on your system to apply below changes. Just wondering if there are any ways to tweak or mod Tahiti type GPUs to increase ETHEREUM mining performance. Since ETH mining is very memory intensive, it would help boost speed if the memory clock could be overclocked beyond 1600mhz. I got a few Gigabyte 7970, Asus 280x, Asus 7970, wondering if there are any mods I can do to be able to overclock the memory past 1600mhz to around 1800mhz?

Hello, I'm running a ref R9 290X from sapphire with a Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV along with some custom vrm radiators, that I made on my own. My PSU is a Thermaltake London 550watt 80plus gold. CPU and MB are: i5 4690K @4,7ghz and ASUS Z97-A The system is not running in a case but rather on a custom bench, made completely out of glas; cooling is awesome^^ I wanted to overclock my r9 290X and ran into this issue: I edited the bios via "HawaiiBiosReader" (I'll attach Screenshots of my Bios) and but I can't get a stable OC, because the VDroop is too damn high: The max clock speeds are set to 1120mhz on the core and the voltage (VID) for those clock speeds …

So I kept getting negative scaling with my Fury Xs in benchmarks and so I decided to do some formal investigating. This is what I got: The numbers are from Unigine and as you can clearly see raising core voltage in Trixx is causing performance to fall of a cliff. Power limit doesn't have any impact on this. I tried to fix this by using the 350W Sapphire Fury Tri-X OC BIOS. That didn't do anything so I modded the BIOS for 768W. That still didn't help. The performance hit from voltage is so bad that 1175mhz core clock at +100mv gives the same FPS as 1125mhz core clock. I still need to check if this happens with hard mods for voltage. If it does I'll proba…

No new stuff. But I am ready to atheist spit some frustrations on for mentioned gpu. At introduction Asus gave me and some other team mates a very limited (via backdoor delivery). Does anyone have the AMD Gpu Clock tool patch that makes it possible to overclock both cores on the 3870x2? The only link I could find to it is dead. I used to have it on a USB drive and erased it. Doh! I hate when I do that.

whats the maximum safe voltage and power i can use if all i have is the stock cooling system? (can't even change out the stock thermal paste in favor of MX-4 because of a sticker on the screw) also, is 1150 core/1550 mem a good OC for a card that has 980/1100 (i think?) stock? and because iv OCed it is the warranty still good? or am i on my own if things go south?

I am trying to push my r9 285 cause it came last in the leaderboards. Its currently on air and at the moment I have it at 1000 on the core and 1400 on mem. I am fairly new to this stuff but have done a little bit of messing. I am starting to play with voltage but IDK when to stop. A quick google came up with nothing at all. So I thought I would ask here. P.S sorry if I did anything wrong.

I bought a 5850 off a user here on the forums, it was already trimpot modded for v core voltage, and covered in LET. Before turning it on, I measured resistance on the trimpot, and found the correct direction to turn the wheel. I turned it to the higher resistance side, to make sure the gpu wouldn't get crazy volts on boot. It has no display output, v core voltage reading shows 1.14v when inside windows, but no display output. The vrm heat up, so they're definitely receiving current... I tried dvi port, and display port. But nothing, just black screen entire time. Tried clearing cmos as well.. Any other troubleshooting I can do? Or is it d…

First let me clarify that I did not (yet) have the knowledge or even verified information, that this could be possible. But please bear with me and consider the information - maybe someone can spot the differences and help others improve the GPU performance. So, in recent AMD materials for APU Carizzo was pictured a GPU Tonga, witch is present in Radeon R9 285 and feature 1792 stream processors, 32 ROP units and 256bit wide memory bus: AMD GPU Tonga However the catch is, that the die size of Tonga is 359 mm², witch is only slightly smaller that his predecesor, GPU Tahiti with it's 365 mm². How does that matter? Well, there is very likely to be plenty of …

lo all, trying to get this MSI lightning 6970 booting on my Z77 Maximus V board. With the silent and normal bios preset all is fine and everything boots and posts. However once I select the extreme bios profile the setup doesn't display any image. Yet seems to boot straight into windows. Just no image is displayed... Tried to get it working on Gen 1-2-3... PCIe x16/X8 to no avail... bios 0603 till 14xx series on Max V Extreme... DVI/HDMI no go... SIGH similar shite on Z87... Anyone else experienced this ? Would be a shame to bench this card at 10001050Mhz as it could be she holds more potential under cold...
