My post was just blocked by a moderator?? There was nothing rude in the post, it was a simple post showing that I broke through 2300mhz on my 1080 Classified. (on the Nvidia overclocking forum)?? ???

I am fully aware of HWBOTs stand on multi account, but none the less, I'd like to make a thread about it. How come it is not allowed to make multiple accounts, if not HW sharing between the accounts? Many guys, such as Leeghoofd, does reviews, reviews that does not require LN2 - these reviews are usually done with stock cooling, or watercooling... I myself have been asked many times to review, due not enough time I've declined, but will pick up just before christmas... I'd like to use one account for watercooling, review scores - and another for the seldom occation of LN2 - the hardware that will be used will not be the same, perhaps with SSD/PSU/monitor as e…

Hey guys, It's been ages since I had any real interest in computers but over the last couple of weeks I built a PC (so utterly boring it's not worth the oxygen describing) and did a bit of reading on the newer stuff. It got be thinking about the modifications and cooling stuff I used to do. It seems like everything has died a bit of a death...? Do people still make phase change coolers? I couldn't see much on the web, the UK forums as I remember are non-existant and the rest of the world is pretty quiet..? Do people still do modifications to motherboards and graphics cards? I had to clear a lot of my stuff out several years ago but I couldn't bare to part…

Couldn't not share this - my 2900 XT just got nearly 4x the current hardware record in 3Dmark03. Sadly, I didn't manage to get the core to 6GHz and memory to 4GHz - the card has serious display artifacts in 2D mode and didn't actually render anything at all in 3D mode which I'm pretty sure isn't an allowed tweak The hunt for working R600 continues...

So, some background. I did two years of electrical engineering at university before switching to computer science. As a result, I know a lot of engineers. One of them built himself a furnace for melting down aluminium cans, which we've used a few times with steel crucibles - unfortunately, steel crucibles don't last very long as they get pretty hot and deform easily. Yesterday we went out wombling (collecting bits of litter that could be useful, for non-brits) and got a boxful of crushed aluminium cans which we'd hoped to melt down using a fancy new graphite crucible. Unfortunately the fancy new graphite crucible had been left outside in england, so it was soak…

If I search "hwbot.org e6600" in Google Chrome I get some weird website addresses that look normal except have "bjgzwzf." or "repo.m." in front of "hwbot.org/hardware/..." Legit or malicious?

NUC6i7KYK - Home I really like the Skull Canyon, a nice form factor design with excellent performance. The only real down side is the heat sink being inferior, it cannot keep the Skull Canyon from hitting 100c in almost all benchmarks and games. If you want to improve the performance of your Skull Canyon and have confidence in your ability to open the case, I recommend swapping the thermal paste to a higher performance product. I did not have a chance to fully test the Thunderbolt 3 yet, I expect a NVMe TB3 drive in soon as well as an TB3 box to give me an external PCIE slot to add a discrete video card. I did connect my Apple 27" TB display and it wor…
