Hi all please share some pics and tips about DIMM insulation. I'm able to run it 1-1.5 hours and then game is over - random reboots, errors, 55 post code. According to my experience it is better to avoid vaseline in empty slots and it is better to avoid Bostik/Blutaс for board insulation. Do you use fans for this area ot let it be frozen? How to avoid short circuits? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Hello guys, I have 2 couples of ddr equipped with samsung TCCD chips (2x512 Mushkin XP4400 and 2x512 G.Skill 3200FX) that i've used for many years in my main pc. Now, all of 'em still works, but thay have lost the CL2.5 and 3 (due to electromigration probably) and even if they work quite decently cas2 (mushkins can do 255-260mhz 2-3-3-5) i was wondering:there is something i can do to try to resuscitate the higher cas? Here's a vintage (almost 10 years old lol) screen of what the mushkin were capable of

Hi all, Bargin basement overclocker here. I bought a set of Corsair Vengance Pro 2133 C9 and according to the Corsair serial number list they contain Micron IC's. My initial testing as seen 2600 9-11-11 1.75v but not 32m stable and into windows at 2666 9-11-11 1.85v or 2666 10-14-14 at 1.65v. Wondering if anybody else has played with these new Micron IC's and how they went. Cheers FqqTBawL

Guys, these lame Kingston Technology two 512MB sticks have bad even the SPD values: 2.5-3-3-8 (at least at 2.5V), but I wonder, if someone can suggest how to push them beyond 229MHz. Because they did not make the 229MHz even stable. They seems to work: ...but then fail bad I did not exactly want to reduce the O/C, so I was tweaking as much, as I can and get them at these timings: To run semi-stable. Good for benches, bad for usage. What shocked me, that for example even 2.90V to them did not improve stability a bit (in fact, things get worser...!!!). So auto (therefore around the 2.5V) seems to work best. Then I tried relaxing the TRRD, TRWT from 2 t…

How much voltage is considered to be safe for aircooled CFR ? Just for max validation ... not benching. I want to see if this mem module have any more speed left (or my IMC perhaps). http://hwbot.org/submission/2480558_tasos_memory_clock_ddr3_sdram_1727.8_mhz

Decided to give this Vengeance kit a shot. I've had it in the office for a while now, and never really pushed. Country Cup gives me a bit of motivation to see how good they are. Turns out they're not that bad System pics

Today we venture into some memory, the ADATA 2800C12 MFR kit. This is my first experience with MFR, and I have read all the editorials on MFR, and this is my take. I have always been the type of overclocker who enjoys getting high validations, but I also understand the need for efficiency especially when it comes to benchmarks. I will take a look at this kit, and push it on air and see how far we can get it in single DIMM, 2 DIMM, and 4 DIMM configurations. I also will do efficiency comparisons with 2DIMMs V 4DIMMs for those interested, which should take care of some of the lack of efficiency that comes from single sided kits. First off I will take a look at the kit:…

When I was looking for a ram pot, I always saw the same thing, a pot fix on small heatsinks. Everybody make the same stuff and put is name on it... So I made something new (I think), not for commercial purpose, but for pleasure. Feel free to make your own ram pot, I can send you the drawing for free, but please, don't sell it without "autorisation". The idea is to make something different, with only one goal, increase performance. I don't care of how easy it's to use or if i have to use lot of tim or if it works with ddr, ddr2, ddr3... Here you can see my idea, it's like a "direct in touch ram pot". For performance point of view, it's really better, and "load" &a…

First time on the baby board, just a monster for hynix. You read people saying this and you think yeahhhh surrrre but this was quite easy to accomplish on it. The mem is scaling like crazy I believe Im being held back by my retail IMC, will try ES I think that has a bit more ballz tomorrow and update. This CPU and stick will run 1770mhz 1.65v on air for reference 1930 1.725vDimm :eek: 1990 1.775vdimm 2057 1.85vdimm More to come :yepp:

So I've been reading a lot about MFR IC's and how they offer very low performance compared to other kits running at around the same speed. So my question is ; Does this only affect single sided kits? Do dual sided kits offer acceptable performance? If so what dual sided kits are there on the market that I could purchase. Cheers for your time everyone Lewis.

So decided to start binning retail for the Asrock comp and figured it would be a good idea to use ram which has been tested thouroughly, i.e. more than one board with multiple cpu's. This kit always seemed to stop at 2600 and did not seem to like volts nor extreme cold. With this cpu, -133c is good for the memory and 2.15v is working great not to mention 2700+ is good, see below:yepp: Can't have it all though right, cb on this particular sample is -110c, playing with input voltages does nothing for max clocks or max pi stable clocks, such a disappointment, but it seems binning cb is the most important thing as -110c is not going to go nearly as far as -135c+. …

So decided to freeze some Samsung as on air it absolutely kills most ic's and even though many believe cold doesn't bring much benefit, in my case I was able to go much further on LN2 than any of my air results. Tested a new cpu, which may be the best Hasfail I have seen in my hands, safe vccin and safe vcore as I would like to keep this one around for a while:p: Setup is the OG Inflection and Triple Point sitting on top of factory Trident X heat spreaders as it was more than enough for this ic. some 5Ghz 32m action: uploading video of the above atm, even though it is slightly above the limit in the screenshot. think this …

So picked up a retail Z87 OCF and ended up testing the same set of Ripjaw Z 2400 c8's that were voltage limited to 1.96v on Ivy. Initial Dram voltage and Eventual Dram voltage got me around this brick wall and have allowed me to use 2.1v now which has allowed me run this kit higher than before. The Conformal coating on my board is very uniform throughout and the only vaseline that was added was on to the ram slots, everything else is paper towel and some Frost King, such a breeze to insulate. This is a great idea that should be implemented on multiple components such as vga cards, and ram modules as well, for those of us that love to freeze the ram. …

I found information saying that Elpida BDBG ICs are not good for OC but apparently not so watch the results of these Kingston T1 2333 MHz provided by oZeros.com and Kingston Chile the hardware used is a 3770k (3240c354), Asus MVE & 2x1 Gb Kingston T1 2333 MHz c9 (CPU & Rams i use air cooling, 20°C) stock 2133 MHz 6-10-6-27-1T @1.65v 2300 MHz 6-10-6-27-1T @1.75v (1.766v real) With 1.82v in BIOS (1.835v real) and without moving 2ry/3ry timings 2400 MHz 6-11-6-30-1T! I think with a few tweaks I can get more Excuse my bad English but I am using a translator Greetings from Chile
