today i will show you another powercard from a dead GTX480 Lightning , it is a very powerfull card that can replace Epower or any vendor powercard! this one is a DUAL OUTPUT powercard , main pwm it is uP6225A , so it is a native 6 phases pwm , each phase are multplied by drivers uP6282AD , totaly 12 power phase! each phase are powered by IR6725/IR6723 Direct Fet package! second pwm is uP6207AI it has 3 phase , each phase powered by IR6725/IR6721 DirectFet output filter is full of tantalum caps and proadlizer( 3 for GPU and 1 for DDR) it was not easy to see voltage on DMM because some pins are hiden under pwm package so i cuted some traces and put togeth…

Hello everyone, This guide is about controlling hardmodded hardware with ASUS OC Panel. It has been in the back of my head for quite some time now; to swap VRs (Variable Resistors known as trimmers) with the OC Panel. Since AOOC 2013 days, it was known that OC Panel has the ability to monitor and change the applied voltages by changing its resistance output which is controlled electronically. I just got an Asus M6 Gene and OC Panel. I see alot of stuff on the web about vga hotwire but what can be done with the SMBus connection? I was thinking it might be used like elmors eVc but unsure of the OC Panels capabilities. My motherboard and OC Panel didn't come with any paperwork. Edit: OK I found a really good guide that explains all functions including smbus. It also shows how to hook it up to ref/dcuii/matrix 7970. I have the Matrix which is why I wanted this set up in the first place. The smbus lets you run the VGA power control app. The guide I found was written by Shammy over on KPC.

Anyone have experience with this card? On gigabytes website it shows world records once held by it and elmor had 2nd place 3dmark11 on ln2. It has 2 vrm controllers adp4100 for core, ncpxxxx for vram. Then it has a pic16f1937 not really sure for what though. I also thought the ncp controller looked big for 2 phase ram. It just has alot going on and a bunch of little chips too. I checked and the was 2 voltage comparators not sure what they do. The card doesn't display but the vrm is good just wondering why the chose such a complex PCB design.

I have a MSI 6870 hawk I'm trying to turn into a power card/zombie. The vrm does not power on and I can't find datasheet for the controller its an up1681 I think. Is their some way to force vrm on or should I just cut it in half and go from there? UPDATE here is the card so far got it all figured out thanks to Elmor and Nachtfalke. So there it is 1.2v+ with all 8 phases powered up. It's way easier than I thought as long as your controller has a data sheet available or someone does the leg work for pins to turn it on. Update 2 I got some mini dc dc buck converters from eBay like others have. I also added GPU vmod. Now it is self contained no extra wires to PSU.

Hey all, Got an Asus Crosshair III Formula of which a few (alu closed) caps had been sidebashed and they need replacement. I suspect them to put the board into a 'usb over current protection' state of automatically shutting down within 15 secs (yes I checked USB etc.). Three of them, all the same value. I just can't figure out what I can get as replacement. The cap says the following: FP OZBx (the O could be a 'zero') 101 16 Can someone give me some kind of advice...want to get this board going. This is the first time I've seen the full data sheet for this thing so if anyone's intrested here's a link to it: http://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/ON%20Semiconductor%20PDFs/NCP81022.pdf It's used by AMD on the HD 7790 R7 260X as well as the 380 and 380X cards. There might be some other cards that also use it but I don't know them.

100% tested to be working on my own RX 480. I will add an OCP mod if OCP becomes a problem.

hi again:) because SOC series it is a problem to unlock the voltages for many of you, i made the vmem voltmode! mem pwm controller is ONsemi NCP5395 witch is full of protection .. ILIM ( resistance smd 17.38k stock value) is responsable with OCP ROSC(resistance smd 18.1k stock value) with switching freq first of all you should separated the circuit between ROSC and ILIM , resistances are in series , that mean when you lowered the ressistance from ILIM pin to GND , will lowered automaticly and ROSC resistance , that mean you will affect the switching freq aswell!!! don´t touch it:)

Hey guys, I am trying to come up with a formula to handle OCP on all the cards I do that have no previous examples. What value do you guys usually do for OCP? Lately I have been doing OCP on all the cards I do and I never quite know the correct formula for determining the OCP resistance or if I am even doing OCP correctly. Here is what I have been doing: I have been basically reducing the resistance of IOUT/IMAX pin by half to remove OCP. In most cases I have to use my biggest pot, 500K, and with it fully backed off it will usually decrease the OCP pin resistance by 1/4 to start then allow me to drop down from there. Hey I built a zombie out of a gtx 580 Matrix. Yesterday everthing worked fine, but today there was no output voltage. I checked all voltages around the controller and found out that the VTT Pin (enable for controller with 3.3v) was shorted (i really dont know how:D) to one of the VID Pins. I fixed it but still no output. I think it destroyed the controller. So my idea was to swap the controller with one of a 580 lightning they should be the same. But i think the firmware is different. Does anyone knows how i can get the right firmware on the controller? Ive got a second full working 580 Matrix so ive got the firmware but dont know how to load it from one chip to…

Hey guys, I did the vcore mod and figured out the vmem mod for my card. But at around -50c it wants to shutdown and I lose monitor. Does anyone know if there is a cold shutdown mod. I had an idea for a device that I want to make because I'm sick of having to pick up piles and piles of pots to get voltage control on different GPUs. I guess it's going to basically be a dumb EVC. Basically it's going to be a pile of digital potentiometers with some inbuilt sensing and safeties to make hard modding easier. Here's my goal for the features: 3 channels(VCC,VMEM,misc voltage rail) offering resistances from 2ohms(the lowest I've seen) up to 500kohm(the highest I've seen) Each channel will also have an option to monitor voltage and set limits on how much overvoltage is possible(my biggest fear with hard mods is setting the pots to really low …

Hi , i have this card for bench but i need volt mod , the max volt i get is 1.158v . tried to edit with rbe but it stay the same. the max i can get was 725mhz on air. tried on dice and it was the same - 725mhz.
