do stupid programmers work in asus? can't find normal BIOS for crosshair impact, a lot of problems with the AMD 5000 series, blue screens (WHEA erros), reboots, reducing performance with active PBO, junk/no working fclk 2000+ and e.t.c

Some of the best work for ASUS. Multiple BIOS have been on the Impact support site.

First test under LN2 with Asus Crosshair VIII Dark and 5950X : https://hwbot.org/submission/4624385_cornerjack_cinebench___r15_ryzen_9_5950x_6508_cb
58 x 100 (1.5875v) - FLCK 1400 - 3800 MHz 14-13-13-28 (1.5v) - profil LN2 from BIOS SOC 1.35v PLL 2.1v VDDG CCD 1.15v

I have a few questions. Currently, I'm managing to bencher 5.8 GHz at Cinebench R15 at -155°C.
I was able to pass 5850 MHz but the score is a hundred points worse than 5800 MHz ?
The CPU also accepts to take full pot but I can't do better. After a few seconds of benchs, the PC reboot with a code A6 and impossible to make Cinebench again. If I switch from CPU score to Fire Strike, I can do 5.7 without any problem.
Do you have any idea why ? Thank you.

I haven't benched much ryzen so I might be wrong, but I would say unstable fabric due to too cold. Happens to my 5950X also when pushing temps close to cb temp. Works in idle but running benchmarks results in reboot.

Also half dividers have not been efficient for me either. I think bclk is a better option.

Impact with 5000 series doesn't seem to work - LN2 mode off = high CB, LN2 mode on = 92 every time you try to set anything in BIOS (even vcore!). This is on latest BIOS.

This little board deserves more.. rarely seen any good result since B550 coming around

bios 3003 allows higher fclk, but i am not stable at 1966 with 5600x or 5950x..
please can we have a nice bios, looks like flck is working on hero with 3003..

define working are you looking to be stable or looking to bench. I'm not saying its impossible but i am saying its possible that it will never be stable due to the whea reports being cpu bus/interconnect. booting and running does not denote stability which both hero's lack at anything over 1900 in my testing.

Any Idea why I have that bad score FCLK is 1800

CINEBENCH_R15_CPU_5894.jpg

probably a similar situation as this.

Fmax scalar vs PBO.

4.6 avg clocks through CB

stilt_1.jpg

4450 avg clocks through CB

pbo_2.jpg

Although I noticed something when pushing dual CCX chips to the ragged edge that score is effectively half what you would expect leading me to believe 1 CCX has dropped.

No, it is based on hardware level, not only at BIOS level.

I've played with the feature. It's viable if your not setting your baseline at "prime stable clocks" but AMD does a better job at it if your target fixed clock is "prime stable clocks"

Right now other than that feature and or want the ability to SHOW a number higher than 2000 fclk or require the slightly improved vrm for benching on ln2 or just want a fanless heatsink solution I see no reason to upgrade to DARK. It's not bad, I like it but overall experience wise it runs and performs the same in the 24/7 stable department.

Same issue here using a 5950X with 3003 bios I had to rollback to 2311 to fix that. :/

3003 works fine with 5800X on LN2 tho

C8I here.

I've benched yesterday for a couple hours with bios 3101 and an 5950x, seemd fine for first look. Even ln2 switch was working and no stupid high cb (-20C) post issues with it like in earlier bioses.

I've revisited yesterday this bios and it seems my cpu has no CB and CBB at -162C with fclk 1433, board worked like a charm. Best bios so far according to my experience.
