  1. Hey all, Had to pull some numbers for an article. Figured it might be interesting for you guys too! Graph showing percentage of top-1 and top-3 result % per each year. In 2011 the top-3 most popular CPUs were used in 40% of the submissions.

I spend all afternoon doing research on the history of superpi 32M world records. Thanks to Holicho's database, I had a good source for fairly accurate information on the world record. As with any archeological research, it is quite possible that we'll find other records in the future, but for now this is my best estimate of the 32M record evolution since the year 2000. All clickable here: http://hwbot.org/benchmark/superpi_-_32m/ I stopped when arriving around the 7 minute mark, and will check those next weekend. :nana:

  11. So, our little ISON comet is diving into the Sun and if it survive the slingshot around it (well, the tidal forces will be enormous and if it survive, then we know that this one is from pretty solid material, not some loose group of rocks and ice or similar weak things), then we shall see a beautifull show, when it will depart to outher space from the Sun Today the ISON enter the SOHO satelite, monitoring Sun (yes, this behing the clone on the arm from top-right to center), view ange: SOHO 1418 ISON diving in2 I quess I did not need to tell, witch one is the ISON, do I...? The forum showed that today is Birthday of Hipro5 and Knopflerbruce (it's already 27th and 8 a.m. at my place). So I want to congratulate both guys, each is a great man! Hipro5 is a world-record and HW modification maniac. And Bruce is well known for his AMD K8/K10 addiction. Good day for you two and good luck!

... you just benched the whole day for the country cup and realised afterwards that you forgot the background on every single result. Plus the CPU seems to be dead.

All brands have issues, Some get heavy fire on the web, Usually from those with bad intend, but Sometimes no one speaks a word, and CPUs die because. Haswell users know what I mean. Why do we not speak of what kills the things most precious to us? We talked about socket burns and exploding VRMs before. What is different now?

Hey guys, thanks to Asus I was able to visit Moscow for AOOC 2013 which was held in Crocus Expo. Asus supplied each overclocker with a VIP pass for the exhibition, so me and phil went there one day before the event just to mess around. As an amateur gamer who plays League of Legends under no circumstances could I avoid Riot's booth so I looked for it (sorry Phil for making you walk around the same booths 3 or 4 times). After asking local people (not that easy though) I managed to find it. When I first saw it I was really amazed for its size cause it was the largest booth in the whole exhibition. Gamers were everywhere, fighting in team of 5 people each, try…
