If I enable monitoring the CPU usage is between 30-65% so I can't prove that my idle temperature is above 25 °C. Do you accept monitoring with other softwares like HWiNFO? Also for some strange reason enabling Monitoring launches 2 instances of Open Hardware Monitor.

like the title says there is an error in the submitting link, it posts in singlecore rankings instead of multicore somehow.

I've noticed the rules state each stage finishes at a different point through the month, but each stage itself says it runs for the whole month? Also, is the z170 ln2 board allowed?

In my system, the two cores have a minimum temperature 23 and 22 degrees. Fans in Silent mode - there is nowhere to slow down. What to do? I would not want to warm up the room - it's a crazy idea. Perhaps you should slightly shift the temperature limit, for example, 18-20 degrees ...

After season 1 and 2 of the Old school is best school series were a full success Hwbot plans to make a third season to once again give retro hardware lovers and tweakers the chance to compete at highest level. Because of this we search a competition manager for this task. After Antinomy and Lanbonden did tremendous jobs at designing the structure and stages of season 1 and 2, we now want you to do the job for season 3 These are the main tasks for old school is best school season 3 - come up with a theme (for artwork) - come up with competition structure - come up with competition stages It does not have to be all done by one person alone necessarily. If…

First statement before the competition starts, the new Gigabyte Z270X Gaming SOC will not be allowed for the march madness. Unfortuantely it is not available at shops at the competitions start (in europe not listed). In case something changes we will make an announcement, this thread is also open for questions but we already included the non released hardware not allowed rule from the first day of announcing the contest. Good luck and have fun at the contest

Would it be too much to ask to use i5 instead of i3? Thing is, the way Intel has priced the 7350K, no one is buying it. So it is hard for us overclockers to sell rejects, since there are no gamers that are willing to buy the rejected CPUs. Overclockers would have to incur heavy looses while binning CPUs. On the otherhand, i5s are really popular amongst gamers, so they can be resold easier/with less looses. I didn't suggest the i7s because I think Gskill choose i3 to make the Competition not too expensive & also I'd get accused of a bias(rightfully so) because I have a good i7. The way Intel has chosen to price the i3K combined with AMD bringing more cores at lowe…

If you got tips, tricks and want to share them what better place then here? Xtu, for me responds and rewards me with better scores with tight, fast ram. 32 bit windows is your friend here. X265 1080P, for me the hardest bench. Would have to clock down 1 multi, run the bench initally to get over the delay it has then clock up and do my runs. Fast tight ram helped alot and throwing extra volts at it might hinder your scores/oc potential. Wp, another difficult bench. Temps dictated everything for me. Once it passed a certain temp, scores tanked. Got any tips tricks? Questions?

I'm having major issues with CPUz freezing the system at about the 12 to 15% point whilst detecting processors. Version 1.50 works fine but I can not get a validation link and therefore can't compete in the % overclock round. Any ideas would be appreciated, I'm trying to use an Athlon XP 1700+ for this round.

Do I assume correctly that no adaptors from slot 1 to socket 370 are allowed. Just need to be sure before I start searching for more crap to fill the house with.

I tried to submit to this competition and the only way I could do it was via the comp page itself, rather than via hwbot.org. Then I tried again with a better score and noticed this limitation... The participate button works fine for Rookie Rumble but Ryzen Rumble wants a submission from "F1 2014 - 1080P Ultra." rather than the X265 1080P that the comp page states. OC eSports

In Challenger Division I round 1 the processor choice is limited to Core i7 series (non-HEDT). So none of the HEDT CPU's on Intels list are allowed? Intel
