My question is simple. Are the results of version 2.2 (old) and 2.43 (new) in line with each other ??? Should they be mixed in the same category (regardless of beeing awarded with points or not) ???

I am very interested to find out how far back in versions of Windows benchmarks and CPUz will work on. I am doing a test of some ancient hardware come this spring, and it would be nice to be able to know if CPUz (and anything else, like Hwbot Prime, or GPUPI, etc...) would even work on some of the hardware. And when I say ancient, I mean systems from 1990 and up... So, from running Windows 3.x, to Win 95, and onwards. If you were wondering, I am going to be testing if Moore's Law has also had an effect an CPU performance over the years, and not just transistor count. Thanks!

Recently I started doing frequency validations with the extreme overclocking mode turned on in cpu-z. about 1 month. Non of the frequency validations are validated, they're "unchecked" How long does it take for them to be validated and is it ok to use unchecked validations on hwbot?

Just a random thought, wouldn't it be cool to have a CPUZ version with a HWBot style layout? Not sure how much it would cost for a design, but I'd chip in a buck or two.

For the F7 users out there, you must download the latest version of CPU-Z (1.73) otherwise you wont be able to validate your .cvf files on the new validation website (valid.x86.fr). Download 1.73 .cvf files made with older CPU-Z version cannot be validated on the new website! Pro tip: XOC=1 (cpuz.ini) Changelog: -New validation -eXtreme Overclock Mode with light CPU load (when off, CPU-Z will load the CPU and make the validation file after 3s) -New tab : CPU Benchmark -Added L4 cache frequency (cache tab) -Added Windows 10 editions -Intel Skylake and Broadwell support -Fixed support for Windows 10 build 9926 CPU-Z Readme file: - XOC : eXtr…

Makes me wonder, if when the wPrime test time end at .23: ...is this a 023 or 230 mS...? I'm not sure, maybe it is the former, because if this is 230mS, then why there should not be the zero at the end...? So, is HWbot right when it interpret as 230mS...? http://hwbot.org/submission/3018033_ Dunno. Your ideas...?

Guys, I wonder, how can I made a 3DMark 2001 score on Vanta LT 16MB. Christian Ney seems to pull it up well: http://hwbot.org/submission/2199106_christian_ney_3dmark2001_se_vanta_lt_%2816mb%29_1394_marks (no idea why 1st score HWbow show as 2nd?) With default settings -1024 x 768, 32bit, 32bit textures: Now there is a slight problem, because when I run the test at default settings, I get out of memory message on start of the 2nd pass (hi details) if 1st game test: So I tried to lower the memory requirments of everything else: - changed desktop resolution to 800x600x16 (no help) - changed max rendering frames ahead from 3 to 1 (no help) - changed 32…

hi there, i didn't posted scores for a very long time and recently i found some very old hardware when i was doing some ''extensive cleaning'' and some of it was working so i thought - i didn't posted scores for a long time and i'm feeling like benching something. the problem is that the super pi submissions (for an example) require the screenshot with the most recent cpu-z and super pi mod 1.5 xs and a validation checksum generated by cpu-z and: OS's of the type windows 9x don't run the super pi mod 1.5 xs correctly but the most recent cpu-z has a special version just for those systems OS's of the type windows nt (prior to XP) run super pi mod 1.5 xs correctly but…

I am sure that you have had at least once the frustrating experience of finishing a SuperPi or PiFast run, and then crash while you were taking the screenshot with Paint. Every overclocker was there at one point and every one of us was a liitle bit like when that happened. Well, in order to get rid of this pesky problem, lab501 community member ihlades wrote a very small program (10k) called Snaphsot. Unlike Paint, which takes up 38MB of system memory while doing a 1920x1200 screenshot, Snapshot only takes 13MB (so it also helps with MaxMem), and the screenshot is automated (saved in the same folder with the program, as a PNG file). The only bad thing I have f…

Hi. I just want to share my way to make screenshots. I use this while overclocking and everyday use. MiniCap Portable does not need .NET and works on Win 2K, WXP, W7 and probably on vista, 8 and 10. It's easy to use. You can launch this from command line and it has visual interface also. I always do a shortcut for example: Start command (in first window) is: C:\CAP\MiniCap.exe -save "$date$ $dt:%H_%M$-n$uniquenum$.jpg" -capturedesktop -compress 9 -exit I use the program everyday. Quick, simple, works even on 486 (tested on W2K and AMD 486DX-4 without L2 cache) After download quick look to MiniCap.chm (helpfile): I thi…

I just installed 3dmark05 and 06, and both benchmarks freeze at the same point, about 1minute and 42sec in. No OC on CPU/GPU, and no driver crashes either. Benchmark just locks up and freezes. Here's a video showing it: http://puu.sh/kbg7G.mp4

Guys, who have a contact to the MaxxMem autor? I tried using the contact on the main page there: http://www.maxxpi.net/pages/contact.php ...but the captcha did not show on various browsers, so I'm a bit clueless what to do. I tried to submit that, but dunno if that ever reach the autor. So... maybe someone get similar experience? There is the report: Hello, Mustafa! Your program is great and run on variety of my hardware well, except a WinXP SP3 on Dell OptiPlex GX110 computer. There it simply jam, consuming 100% of CPU power in neverending loop: I propose that this is because the Dell i810 chipset fail to produce the memory Mhz: http://valid.x8…

Latest GPU-Z, when run on integrated Intel 82810 chipset that produce 24bit resolution (yea, that is quite rare, it cannot produce 32bit, so...), have sometimes problem with crashing on opening the main window and 100% of time it show the icon for the Intel graphic trashed: Since just switching to 16bit (or lower) fix that startup glitches, yet the image is completely missing now So, either this is a fault of the drivers (somebody else with the possibility to open 24bit screen pls try it!), of this is a GPU-Z fault. I cannot determine witch... So, just reporting, that a small beta that aim to fix that won't hurt

After twaking a bit with my Duron 750 (now x5 multi), I set it slowest as it could go in bios and let it run SuperPi 32M overnight. Yep, booting to WinXP took about 15min alone, but I was patient. Now in the morning, I saw this: So it took 1h 11min 44.375sec for the Duron to come up with just the "initial value." What will be the total time of the test? Could I roughly estiminate, that when doing on same board SuperPi 1M test, then it took with AXP 47.765 sec ( http://hwbot.org/submission/2462459_ ), while 0.625 sec took the initial value... So that is 76.424x longer for the vhole result, witch could push the time to 5502.528 minutes = 91 hours =…
