Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 3, 2018 Crew Posted August 3, 2018 (edited) Start date will be the 5th of August till the 31st of October. Verification rules will be expanded versus the regular standard offical HWBot rules: CPU-Z tabs for CPU, Mainboard and Memory (+SPD for the memory stage) Verification Screenshots are always full screen, no removal of taskbar, no clipping,... Retail hardware only (also for motherboards) Competition Background must be visible To avoid the drama of last year, picture(s) of the RUNNING OC setup has to be added with each submission For all 3DMark benchmarks the latest Systeminfo has to be installed (have verification files at hand) Only single core GPUs are allowed!! If required don't forget to add the verification link! List the cpu type/speed/cooling used, motherboard brand/type, Memory/speed and GPU brand/type/clocks in the submission Competition page here: http://hwbot.org/competition/team_cup_2018_ddr1/ Edited August 4, 2018 by Leeghoofd Quote
Noxinite Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 How will the memory scores be determined to be unique, given that they are all the same type of ram? Are we using the brand instead, or does it not matter? Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 4, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) different speeds/timings/brand, hence the request for the spd tab and picture of the memory modules being used ( heatspreader ) Edited August 4, 2018 by Leeghoofd 2 Quote
Noxinite Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) What is the tolerance for screenshots versus CPU-Z validation? Previously it had been 5% I think? Also, I take it you can mix and match memory sticks? You don't need to use two from the same kit? Edited August 4, 2018 by Noxinite Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 4, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 4, 2018 you can mix, but if you use a similar stick as your team mate than we have a problem. In case you mix I need two SPD tabs and even more photo's from both parties 2 Quote

Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 4, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 4, 2018 yes... validation link counts as long as it within the limits 1 Quote
alexmaj467 Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 CPU-Z versions after 1.80 do not display timings correctly and may not display the SPD tab on INTEL systems. What about that ? 1 Quote

Noxinite Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) Me too last Team Cup. Edit: But that was on CPU-Z V1.79. http://hwbot.org/submission/3598309 Edited August 4, 2018 by Noxinite Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 4, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 4, 2018 Issue is if you want to validate the memory frequency you will have to do it on the lastest version available this is 1.85. If you compare the screenshot above, can it be OS related? I tried 1.85 on S939 and got SPD tab on Windows 7... so you will have to ensure it will work on the latest version... Quote
Jokot Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) I think it only effects s478 Edited August 4, 2018 by Jokot Quote
TAGG Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) Can anyone give me the trick so that CPU-Z doesn't crash windows on 462? Cause for me end of the road is 1.57... Or are we allowed to use old CPU-Z for showing freq for PiFast? Edited August 4, 2018 by TAGG Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 5, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 5, 2018 You can use the good old Stuff TAGG for Socket A, as long as it shows correct CPU speed and memory frequency we are all good Quote
Bones Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 (edited) This is for anyone needing a CPU-Z version that will run with Socket A. Be sure to scan the file itself before unzipping but I believe it's OK. cpu-z_1.59-32bits-en.zip Edited August 5, 2018 by Bones 3 Quote

unityofsaints Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 @Leeghoofd just a small thing but stage 5 and 6 are mixed up on the comp pages. Official thread says 5 = 478 + 3DMark 99 and 6 = 939 + 3DMark 2001 but on the comp pages these stages are the other way around. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 6, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 6, 2018 not a big deal right, if the benchmarks are correct and configured I don't see the problem 1 Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 6, 2018 Author Crew Posted August 6, 2018 It seems the edit function does not work atm, so make sure all the required tabs have the right data and the required pictures are added before submitting! Quote
DR4G00N Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) The memory max freq stage seems to be broken, only the best result for each team is being counted. Ah, nvm, I see that it was already mentioned. Edited August 10, 2018 by DR4G00N Quote

Is this because it's looking for 3 unique mem types, but there is a 2nd rule allowing only DDR. It should just be unique submissions from users wach with DDR, no? TASOS Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Are we going to keep the limitation of Venice core only at stage-2 ? I ask cause i just saw a recent edit at a DDR2 stage (where cpu options were already plenty). Quote

StingerYar Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Stage 8 - Memory Frequency Dual channel What about blank SPD pages, even with other versions of CPU-Z? The presence of SPD tab is mandatory (even if info is not readable), or you have to find different software that can read them correctly? Quote
