Just got my hands on these (F4-4000C19D-8GTZ) and allthough I don't have an OC-board (Z170X-UD3) their performance are really bad. XMP (4000 19-21-21-41) is impossible, even with 1.8V+ The best I've gotten from these are 3733 14-18-18-28 300 1T, and parhaps it's my board that are limiting the memorys, I dont know. The strangest things come next, and at the above setting I get worse results than my Corsair 2666 CL16 at 3000 15-15-15. I've also tried the exakt same setting on the G.skill (se images belove) I've tried XTU, HWBot prime and Geekbench and I've gotten worse result in all. I've got one explaination and that's that the G.skill are single sided …

Hi, I'm having a strange problem with my Ripjaws V 3000 C15 4x4GB mems. I'm using Asrock Z170 OC Formula and tried 1.90, 1.92, 2.0 and 2.10 bios, using i3-6100 and i7-6700k as CPU to try different IMCs, and couldn't set a mem multiplier over x32. My max clock was 3290 C16 raising a little bit with BCLK. They make 3200 C16 1.35V but can't make 3333 C16 even with 1.50V. I don't think the can be soooooooooo bad to not make 133MHz more at that frequencies with 0.15v more. I tried all modules separately, with 1, 2 or 4 dimms installed on all combinations, and couldn't make 3333 with any config. If someone experienced something like this, or knows what can cause t…

Hi all, just the other day after team.au aquamark submission i've discovered the existing of samsunb-b die. Searching in EU shop i've found a kit with not much information on the web, Geil Dragon PC4-32000 4000 cl19-25-25-45 1.4v 2x8GB KIT (GWW416GB4000C19DC). Even on Geil official website there's nothing about this kit, but since all the DDR4 Dragon I've seen was single side and this kit was 2x8GB i've try to purchase with the hope to find Sumsung-b die. Lucky me it is. So i see the the Loud Silence 32M of yesterday on Z170M OCF, my Big Yellow is on the way home after RMA, the MOCF is not available yet in EU, so i've run some XTU on Asus Z170…

Hi, Some month ago I made a new ram pot for RAW MHZ (single side mem). Easy mount, fast and without TIM between pot and heatspreader It's 100% home made (idea, drawing, machining, testing..). Feel free to use this drawing on your own, but please "no commercial sell" with my drawing. Red part = mem slot / green = PCB / Black = IC / Blue part = Pot + HS / Grey = mounting plate

For my old computer to get some interesting overclock and also (mainly) more memory I got a 2G of these DDR (1) OCZ Platinum 2-3-2-5 sticks labeled as OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K. (image only illustrational from eBay, not mine, no idea why one of these sticks have v1 and other v2 anyway) So these should have the nice Samsung TCCD chips, so I was trying to power the machine on with 229MHz (250 FSB/183 divider that gives 229MHz on the rams) 2.5-3-3-7 settings and it - failed WTF! So I reset the bios and started going step-by-step. 200MHz divider (so, 1:1 to FSB) and I see the default settings are TCL - 2, TRCD - 3, TRP - 2, TRAS - 5, TRRD - 2, TRC - 11, TRFC - 24,…

Ordered from Corsair web store, these shipped straight from Taiwan. Ver5.29 guarantees there are Hynix-based, no need to remove the spreaders. First test DDR4-3000 11-12-15-15-1T Super Pi 32M stable@1.675v, lowest of any retail sticks I've tested.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me a hand here. I'm trying to figure out what sort of DDR4 would be good to go for in an X99 system. Of course it's for benching, before you ask. I instantly went to these modules as they are highly clocked and have a low starting voltage. http://www.memoryc.com/computer-memory/ddr4/16gb-gskill-ripjaws-4-ddr4-2800mhz-pc4-22400-cl16-quad-channel-kit-4x4gb-black-heatsinks.html I'm guessing that they would do better than an equivalent kit at C15 with 1.35 volts but I could be entirely wrong here. Where would your money go? Looking to keep it below £250 ($375). Thanks in advanced.

Makes me wonder, witch (exactly - eg. product number) type of G.Skill Trident rams this overclocker used in bench to get 6-7-6-18 1T timings at 877MHz: http://hwbot.org/submission/949968_thebanik_wprime___1024m_core_i7_950_2min_29sec_421ms Because I would like to buy them too. Any special settings (drive?) or voltage settings applied? Dunno. But beside they are likely to be 2G per module ones (the mobo don't have problem of running 12G of ram - 3x4G, so it is not like it see just half of them or something...), I have no idea witch ones to pick. Could somebody give me a hand...? (official timings for the 4G Trident DDR3-2400 modules are 10-12-12-31 at 1.65V,…

I've been looking to get a kit of ram for benching only, but was curious what I should look for. Should I be looking for psc, Samsung, hynix or what? Do the different IC's perform differently at the same timings? I'm leaning towards psc because I see a lot of people on here with really tight timings on psc, but figured I'd ask first. If I do get psc, should I just get some off eBay to save money and hope it clocks well? Do they have a really good rep for always clocking well, or is it really difficult to find a good kit? Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to the whole ram OC'ing game.

Guys, I wonder, what 2x1G sticks to use in my ASRock 775Dual-VSTA to get the maximum possible ram speed. There are some cool rams out there, that can do very nice speeds, like these - 413MHz, 3-3-3-5 1T timings: http://hwbot.org/submission/582356_mayk_pcmark_2004_core_2_x6800_%282.93ghz%29_13547_marks (but user Mayk is not registred on this forum, so I cannot ask, what rams he used) - 294MHz, 3-3-3-9 1T timings: http://hwbot.org/submission/2738623_michaelnm_3dmark2001_se_geforce_6800_gs_%28nv42%29_agp_42240_marks (user michaelnm asked about witch rams he used) - 465MHz, 3-3-3-1 (?) 2T (?) timings: http://hwbot.org/submission/590221_roro_superpi___32m_core…

So I recently got a 3x2GB set of OCZ gold series RAM. Their rated at 1600 8-8-8-24-2T 1.65V. As far as I can tell they only have standard JEDEC tables and the 1600 spec is just on paper the RAM won't default to it in DOCP mode. I can get it to boot just fine running 1 or 2 sticks in channel A but 1 stick in A and B gives me only 2GB of RAM. If I try to boot 1 stick in channel B it won't boot at all always resetting on postcode 84. I'm not sure about the ICs but they are able to boot 2400 10-10-10-30 on 1.8V and don't seem to scale above 1.8V.

Hi and welcome to my small thread Lately I remembered how I started overclocking, and that it was on a socket 754 Gigabyte board with Nforce3 chipset. Seeing that i haven´t used a GA board for nearly four years now, I decided that it may be a good decidion to end the oc era the way I started it, and I bought a Gigabyte Z97X SOC Force retail board to do some tests. This is what I got, the imc of this random Pentium 3258K is quite weak, but hopefully I can give you a small overview of what the board can do on mem oc and that I indeed had fun Hardware used: Gigabyte Z97X SOC Force retail, Bios x04 and f6 loaded from internet Intel Pentium G3258K retail Megalha…

TiN and I have been working on an open source project for flashing DDR3/DDR4 SPDs using a RaspberryPi. You can follow the project on xDevs.com as well as grab the code. TiN designed an awesome PCB for DDR3/DDR4 slots that connects up to the RaspberyPi and lets you flash your modules. This is the top of the board that TiN designed. And the back side of the board It has three switches for changing the address as well as LEDs to indicate which address is being used. He also included a header to connect the RaspberryPi as well as a power switch. He also added support for a MCU so eventually we can plug this via USB into a regular PC to fl…

Overclockers.UK already has these listed for pre-order Here's the extract from their website: Vengeance LPX memory is designed for high-performance overclocking. The heatspreader is made of pure aluminum for faster heat dissipation, and the eight-layer PCB helps manage heat and provides superior overclocking headroom. Each IC is individually screened for performance potential. The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest Intel X99 Series motherboards and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules. Vengeance LPX DDR4 modules are compatibility-tested across X99 Series motherboards for reliably fast perf…

I did a recent overclock of my ram and did a benchmark looking for a high read result it came back with this: http://hwbot.org/submission/2626169 I was too excited to realize that these results are a bit suss. Is this score theoretically possible or is this a bug? Thanks, Luke
