HWBOT Competitions

  1. So how is an i7 getting treated score wise? Is it getting treated by its four physical cores or based on its eight threads? Seems like an i7 has a bit of an unfair advantage if it is getting treated like a quad core when it is using all eight threads, unless its only using those four cores and I'm just dumb and not noticing that Would be nice to figure out what is going on though.

  2. Hi, I would like to know the rules for each bench in this division. For example. what test is the score we have to submit in PerformanceTest? It gives many results...

  3. Hi guys, what do you think about 2 pure GPU tests in this round? If you don't have FURY X or at least R9 290 - there is no reason to participate in whole competition, because you will fail in both tests SO BAD. Yes, extreme cooling requires some money to invest, but buying 500$ card to attend small competiton like this with 100$ main prize?

  6. Hi, I 'm trying to upload a result to stage 1 but I get: "Sorry, we are experiencing temporary issues. Technical reason: org.apache.torque.TorqueException: java.sql.SQLException: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction" Browser: Firefox 46.0.1 I try from oc-esport page and from submit button on hwbot front page.

  7. Hai, a multi-cpu-Setup with xeon/opteron is not allowed, but what about a Xeon e5-2670 in a single-socket Mainboard?

  8. How are we supposed to save XTU benchmark results to a file? I've been fighting with this PC for an hour trying to figure it out and haven't found any option for saving to a file yet.

  9. Does anybody know which driver is working with xp for 3dmark2001 and 8670d ?

  10. Started by Gunslinger,

Round 2 is slated for May 1st through June 30th. I'm thinking throwback style, Z170 and any CPU: Stage 1 3DMark '03 single card Stage 2 SuperPi 1M Stage 3 3DMark '05 single card Stage 4 WPrime 32M Stage 5 3DMark '06 single card Round 3 is slated for August 1st through September 30th, and will likely be BW-E heavy.

  11. Started by Marquzz,

It says "a Nvidia GeForce 7 series videocard", does this means one (1)? If this is the case, does the GX2-cards count as one or two?

Kicking off the discussion - the fifth round will end next week, so we should start thinking about the next season. Anyone up for planning the next rounds? Preferably someone who is very familiar with old school hw :celebration:

  14. i see my 6950 gets a higher score than a 5870 as it should, but on the oc esports page it get the score of 400marks when the screenshot and sub say 1200marks.

  15. Lo all, I waded through the numerous submissions, but had to remove a few, especially in the Geekbench stage Make sure for Stage 2 and 3 you have a screenshot according the rules laid down. This means a CPU-Z tab for CPU and Memory must be visible in the screenshot. For Stage 3 also the Geekbench Launcher application needs to be visible!! Happy benching

sorry guys, i keep posting on hwbot prime dogpile, but i cant see any update! any news about? im wasting time??? maybe hahaah

  17. There's no mention of X79/X99 processors (4820k, 4960X, 5960X, etc), is it only four core processors allowed this round, or are those added into the mix of "i7"? Additionally, there's no mention of the 290/290X on the AMD side of things, will they still be allowed? What about the Fury Nano?

  18. Just to be sure - as there used to be a limit of 4500 or 4503 in previous competitions like that - here it's enough to have 4.50 in XTU and CPU-Z can show 4505 or 4507?

  20. Good luck to all teams ! Seems like there is a mandatory wallpaper this time, don't forget it Asking for a bit of clarification on Stages 1 & 2 rules. For Stage 1, it says 3 different Intel CPU, but also "a processor with the Skylake core" on right list. So wrong copy/paste, 3 CPU with 1 Skylake, 3 Skylakes ... ? For Stage 2, same 3 different AMD CPU, and "Use 1 processor(s)" on right. Like, yeah obviously ? or a specific rule ? Edit : Also, scores on Stage 1 and 2 are divided per core or it's full out ?

  21. Alrighty, good luck everyone!
