HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions

My thoughts might not be shared by the majority here, but i'll put the idea out there anyway. Would HWbot consider putting a limitation in place so a user can only upload one score for a particular hardware category and bench every.... e.g. 48 hours? It's to reduce the immediate use of backups. My opinion: uploading a backup the moment someone beats your score is, IMHO, nothing more than disrespectful to the work the other guy put in. Of course, it's impossible to check if someone is submitting their best score from a session, but this would at least mean someone can enjoy the ranking they have EARNED for a couple days Maybe it could be split …

Hey massman! Is there still a way to search for the top motherboard in a category? Like how can i search socket 1155 top blck result. and in the past you can search for Gigabyte ud4, then see the top score with that mainboard in any benchmark, like pifast, 3dmark06, etc etc. Not too dramatic. Just an easy way to find out top results with specific mobo's

I have made a few submissions to hwbot over the past few days, but I have not unlocked the "first submission" achievement. Do I need to do anything special to unlock this achievement? Will my account take a few days to update? Im new here, thanks!

Why are there no global points for 3d11?..I seriously don't get it. You guys post news clips on your front page about MSI and Gigabyte taking 3d11 records with new cards, but there are no global points/WR points awarded for futuremarks latest dx11 benchmark for top score or single card? strange.. Can we please have global points in PRO league already? Whats up with awarding global wr points for such an old ass benchmark like 05 that only requires cards on air and binned cpu, but not for something like 3d11 that actually requires u to overclock 1-4 gpus VERY VERY hard for top score and isn't so heavily cpu bound that ANYONE can take it as long as they have some 1 of 300 s…

I have a Rage 128 Pro Ultra video card. Funny story, I bought this off ebay brand new not long ago for $5. Couldn't resist. I thought in version 3.0 hwbot had this but I can't seem to find it in version 4.0. What should I post this under if I take gold lol. Please Advise? Thanks

Currently working on a wrapper for Hexus Pifast to make the app less cheat-able. Won't take that long to code (I hope ), adding it to the HWBOT dbase will take a little longer. Just like with the Unigine Heaven wrapper, we're going to have a GUI to launch the benchmark. Now, unlike the heaven benchmark, pifast doesn't really have a fancy GUI or picture ... so we need something to match the benchmark! In contrary to my extremely l33t HWBOINT design skills, which causes emotional damage just by looking at it, my photoshop design skills are sub-par. That's why I'm more than happy if someone from the community can provide a nice design for the background of the Pifast…

This is something i've thought about for a LONG time.... a lot of people come and go from this hobby. Who remembers the names of guys who quit years ago? Maybe they were great benchers, maybe they were old-school... there's a lot of different ways someone can be good at this without being No.1 all the time.... or ever! This hobby/ sport is so transient, what scores from 6 months ago are remembered? What was any world record 6 months ago? Who knows who had the world records 6 months ago? Hi Seems like a lot of Nvidia Quadro and ATI firepro cards are missing from the database, making it not possible to add scores for these. Is there any possibility to add these cards? aspstein

Here's a suggestion for Rev.4 that doesn't require that you change what you have, just that you add something in addition to what's already there. The purpose of this suggestion is to create more ways for everyone to compete and to therefore keep old members active and to attract new members to the site. Please consider adding three new classes to the existing Hardware Masters competition. The existing hardware masters class is unlimited hardware points with everyone in the same class. Keep that. You can call it the "Hardware Masters Open Class". That class lumps us all together: with novices, air and water folks, extreme cooling, and pros all competing agains…

I think a dual socket 940 comp. would be a blast! K8N-DRE's are dirt cheap (and very tweakable if you have the right tools) as are dual core Opterons and DDR400 ECC. Slap your favorite pxci-e x16 card and drive in an away you go! It's hardare most of us can afford and most everyone would be learning a new platform making for a lot of fun! Just a thought. Perhaps WPrime32 and 1024 and supePi 32 and 1M.

is there a feature where you can see a graph of how many submitted today versus the past 6 days... i see 260 submissions today...is that a world record?

Can we please add this video card... Intel GMA 4500MHD (GM45) 2A42 or 2A43 applies. I've also realized there is a decent mistake on a video card that is almost like the one I have above. Its your Intel GMA X4500HD (GM45). <-- this is not a GM45, its a G45 2E23 I believe. I am pretty sure this is a integrated desktop chip also. How might we be able to look into this. When looking up Processor specifications, several pages will load, and the browser says "Done", but nothing much is displayed. Just the page margins and a blank page in the middle. This happens with IE and with Firefox so I don't think it is a browser problem. Obviously, the problem doesn't occur on the HWBot home page nor on the Forum pages. From the feedback we received after launching the actual HWBoints Rev3 product, we noticed two big problems. The first was the low reward for breaking the overall world records. Since pushing the limits at the absolute top of the benchmark rankings does require skill and effort, two of the main ideas behind rev3, not awarding big numbers indeed doesn't sound right. So, we have whipped up a fix that is supposed to, well, fix this. What benchmark applications? Would stop all the 2d rankings from being disrupted multiple times a day because people leave it blank. Ive 0 is invalid it would remind them to input their scores
