Abbreviations: - "Leakage Scalar" - A part specific reference value for leakage behavior (ILC). - "DSTT" - Dielectric Strike-Through Threshold. * All of the values are part specific and based on actual production data. The program supports all desktop (i.e FM2) Trinity & Richland APUs. NPUs are not supported at the moment. The voltage displayed in the DSTT field is not an absolute limit. It should be used for reference only. The voltage is the highest "safe" (long term) voltage level in that temperature. The voltage can be exceeded for a short periods of time, however silicon level damage can occur. Pressing "Copy Hash" button will copy the disp…

Hi, I'm new to hwbot. Just set up my 2nd ever Dry Ice setup (pot mounted & primed) and system powered on at -50. I have an AMD FX-8350. I head over to hwbot, select 'competitions' and looked through all the rookie rumbles. The only competition I can find (currently ongoing) on the "rookie rumbles" is one involving XTC (a benchmark that only runs on intel platforms). Are there no competitions I can participate in just now? I've spent all this time/money setting everything up; now I'm not sure what to do next....? Anyone able to show me the ropes please or, steer me in the right direction, about where to start? Last month (on my 1st…

Hey guys, I'm testing the 970 Pro Gaming for a SkatterBencher video. Of course I wanted to get some 5G action going. So far the Samsung kits seem to doing quite well. 333MHz 1:4 is straight boot and I'm now trying to get it more stable for 32M. I really want to try LN2 before leaving for the World Tour in South Africa :celebration:

Say goodbye AM3+ platform, this old platform was here with us from 2011. Exactly it was slightly better AM3 socket and this one comes from 2009. One of the latest and modern board in conectivity is Asus 970 Pro Gaming/Aura. Its 970 chipset based board, but very solid. So I took this red-black board under LN2 with few liters of LN2 (rest from previous days OC).... What I liked at AM3+ platform OC: high clock ability, special with Vishera. So strong processors for high clocks, solid CPUNB at Visheras also. No coldbug. I hope, AMD will continue in this way without coldbug with Zen. And Im looking forward for new processors. Ready for some fun? I had little of Liqui…

Hello guys, I have recently started Ocing just for fun, and as i learned about it i noticed my Apu has really nice ocing capabilities. Reading the following thread: http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=59244 I came to conclusion that my APU has some great potential for further overclocking. This is TCI info about the APU http://imgur.com/fhQVT6r So am i right when in my conclusion that it indeed is a rare find and worth overclocking to the max? Since im quite new in this id like someone to confirm if my conclusion is correct here. I even competed in AMD rookie rumble #11 and did pretty well with ocing scores with my rig. http://hwbot.org/user/i…

Hi, I am now challenging OverClock. You are able to commonly used in frequency 4840MHz now, We think that it might go a little more. BCLK is 220MHz, Ratio is 22. It did not go well with 4950MHz. I reach FSB limit for this mobo is 140mhz any more have no effect simple after reboot in bios setup I will see for example 145 but when I boot windows cpu-z will detect only 140 (exactly 139,92) 140 FSB, of course, is fully stable. I would understand if the higher FSB was not stable but it clearly looks like a lock. And about Ram Voltages I want push a bit more but 1.65V ( mobo limit) it to low for more OC System Specs CPU: AMD Althon X4 740 @4,47Ghz Max temp 54C Stepping: 1 Revision TN-A1 Frequency: 4477Mhz Ref* Mulitiplier: 139.85 * 32 ( Under Bios is 140) CPU Voltage: 1.45V NB Frequency: 2238.8Mhz NB-Volts- + 0,1V RAM: 8GB 1866Mhz DDR3 CL8 @ 1.65V ( Cor…

Hi guys. Just by luck I won an auction on a cheap Athlon X4 740 yesterday. Since my 750K is real bad, requires like 1.55 vcore for 4 500 MHz, I'm pondering the thought of using the 740 instead. I've been benching both A10-6700 and 750k on single stage and could run like 140-150 Mhz fsb. No idea whre I'll end up on air for 24/7 use though. Anyone tried say 120 MHz fsb for everyday use? USB3/Pci-e issues?

Posted over at XtremeSystems but so incredibly epic that it needs to be as here as well. All credit for the work goes to The Stilt who seems to be able to kick pretty much every R&D team in the industry (including AMD's own). This is the BEST I have seen in overclocking for a LONG-LOOOOONG time and beats 99,99% of the "world record" or live OC competition events achievements as far as I'm concerned. This makes DDR3-4400 look like child's play ... this is what overclocking is all about: :ws::woot::ws:. Hey all, Just wanted to open a thread to give you the tools to use to "replicate" that 7.93G frequency record of NickShih. According to Nick, two tools are needed: - PSCheck 3.4.1: download - 1.02V bios: download - 1.02S bios: download - 1.02R bios: download - 1.02D bios: download Use PSCheck to lower the frequency and voltage in idle mode ~ similar to the LN2 mode on the Gigabyte board. Then set the overclock and use PSCheck to set to P0 state for high clock. Figure out which of the 4 cores are clocking the highest. Here's a PSCheck tutorial for novice users. Just FYI ... //edit: Here's HKEPC's video tutorial (with asus board, but pri…

So gonna for some OC test...and few interestings. This is not full version of review, but most of them is here now. SOme clock to clock comparison, win7 vs win8.1, more OC and HSA tests will be in official review next month. First we talking about autooc. Asus give me 4200 MHz and 960 MHz at iGPU part. This is not bad. Nice things for beginners and people scared from BIOS settings . 3D Mark11 AIDA GPU test wprime 1.55 Max stable OC for CPU and iGPU In AMD Overdrive stability test I got 4544 MHz and 104x MHz at iGPU part R7. For CPU I needed decent 1.455 V in BIOS and 1.315 V for APUNB (iGPU). Im sue, 4600 MHz is possible, but with very hig…

Almost forgot to cross-post this one as well. As you know, the CPU microcode is used to fix some hardware related problems. Intel has it, and so does AMD. Usually you will not notice any of the errata (=problems) in daily computing, but sometimes it happens. I'm sure you all remember the famous Phenom TLB-bug. Usually, it is very important to have the latest CPU microcode as that one would contain all the latest fixes. Sometimes you would actually want to use older microcode to have better performance. For example, in the Core 2 era we were all using an old microcode to get those really fast SuperPI 1M benchmark results. The Stilt compiled a list of the AGESA cod…

Just wanted to post some information here for future reference. The Stilt from Finland has developed this incredibly handy tool for Trinity overclocking. It's by far the most advanced OC tool I've seen and I'm all-around impressed by the quality. From the manual: Supported boards: ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 ASUS F2A85-M Pro ASUS F2A85-V Pro GIGABYTE GA-F2A85X-D3H GIGABYTE GA-F2A85X-UP4 MSI A85X-GD65 Download links - user guide (read it!): http://downloads.hwbot.org/downloads/tools/TCI_K2_UG.pdf - software: V1.1 V1.0 - original thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?282355-Work-in-progress...-TCI-K2 …

Finally is the day of FX mania. HWInfo and information about temps, voltage of first tested chip - this is FX-8300 At stock is FX-8300 in performance near the older FX-8150. Vishera is better in IPC and specially in games. Cinebench R10 and R11.5 For all benchmarks I used decent OC at 4762-4763 MHz, but this clocks are not full stable I mean. So some average CPU.... 4762 MHz benchable OC, Sisoft Sandra Wprime 1024M with win7 64-bit with 2CU/4C software (not hadware shutdown) wprime 1024M with 4CU/4C. Hi guys. Just a little write-up on my latest oc. I got hold of this neat cpu for a HTPC build for a friend and obviously I had to try out it's overclocking capabilities before dooming it to a life of stock clocks and air cooling Now most people might think "Why?!" since the A10-6700 is a locked cpu and the 6800K would be the best choice for OC. Well simply put I was curious how far this cpu could be pushed in spite of locked max multi. Plus I've been meaning to try out The Stilts awesome piece of software, Bulldozer Conditioner which really improves x87 performance i. e. Super Pi. For this bench session I used the ASUS F2A85M-PRO together with Dominator Platinum …
