November 11, 20159 yr Author Thanks guys I'm really trying to make this as cheap as possible. I have no final price yet. Very nice roman! Copyright/patent! Ofc patent pending
November 11, 20159 yr Seeing this makes me have less problems with delidding a retail cpu. At least, if I can find a matching glue to put back on.
November 11, 20159 yr Nice work, i love the design lots of force well distributed.. congrads..ps eventho i am not sure i wann delid my sb.. still want one.. Edited November 11, 20159 yr by willemc700
November 11, 20159 yr Willing to buy an early sample, and do testing on my 5775C I have with me that I've been dying to delid.
November 12, 20159 yr Roman, any chance at looking for US distribution to save on shipping costs? If this was available for $20-$30 in the US with cheap shipping that would be amazing.
November 12, 20159 yr This seems like something you could 3D print but I would still shell out $$ for one. Hopefully we can get a US seller.
November 12, 20159 yr Author 3D printing is not going to work. I thin you underestimate the forces involved
November 12, 20159 yr Willing to buy an early sample, and do testing on my 5775C I have with me that I've been dying to delid. Nice, let me know the outcome. I also offered to send der8auer my 5675C so he himself can test it on a Broadwell.
November 13, 20159 yr I now one guy(I mean personally), he can remove HS for 10 euro and it will like new after changing thermal interface. So i think price for this experemental stuff should be redused. I think divided by 3, at least.
November 13, 20159 yr I also think the price of a Lamborghini should be divided by 3. Lolwtf Why you compared your stuff with Lamborgini? Do you think you did something uniqe? It's only because you don't have any competitors and the're some guys who have extra money falling from their pockets. Anyway you producted it first, so you can setup price whatever you want. I just pointed on fact that guys with good arms and head exist in our world :celebration:
November 13, 20159 yr it is always easier to say "I could have done that" when you have seen how it is done. It is easy to see the genius in the design. Would i like to make one myself? Of course. But lacking the skills, tools, and vision.. i would buy one in a heartbeat if it was in the states.
November 13, 20159 yr EUR 90 is less than a third of the price of a new CPU after failed manual delid ...
November 13, 20159 yr Author If I'd include my time for developing, this would be 3 times the price lol.
November 13, 20159 yr Hi, First of all congratulations for this wonderful idea. Is it possible to watercool a *naked* Skylake CPU? Do you know which deltaT should I expect going from a delidded cpu with liquid metal between the CPU and the IHS to a naked one? Edited November 13, 20159 yr by darkbasic
November 14, 20159 yr Acetal is definitely not the same as pbs 3d printed shit I would not want to try a 3d printed thing. There's a file going around for one though
