HWBOT Competitions

  1. Hi, im new here. I posted my results for my country, how do I see my ranking on the boards?

  2. Scoring looks a bit wonky. First is only SUB!

  3. Congrats to all who participated!

Stage 1: SuperPi 32M, maximum CPU frequency of 4005MHz on Wolfdale 6M CPUs Stage 2: Pifast, maximum CPU frequency of 3610MHz on Celeron-256 CPUs Initial setup at: https://hwbot.org/competition/Antinomy's Low Clock Challenge More info to follow

As team cup 2022 draws to a close it's a good time to start proposing stages. I went through the team cup ones and kept the ones appropriate for cc as a starter but please comment with ideas for stages or risk getting laughed at when you wait until after comp starts to complain about stages. https://docs.google.com/document/d/18iCZWy45BrKM_on_K0JxEzWEizkrR6AX12JhDywwNd0/edit?usp=sharing

  6. Only use motherboards using X79, P67, P45 chipset: Z68 is so different in comparison with P67?

  7. Stage 3 - HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k - DDR3 Opteron 1389?

  8. Wow. Great description! I'm just reading it on my X79 Deluxe with 2400MHz DDR3 CL9 RAM. :D Can't you just write "LGA1156 DDR3 RAM" There even was LGA775 using DDR3. X56, 1155, 1150, X79 ... That is also why those competitions are getting more and more annoying. Why the F do you pretend it's just DDR3. No it is not. It's for specific platform. Don't play like that admin. Cheers.

General Rules General and benchmark specific hwbot rules apply Desktop hardware only (no server parts) unless explicitly allowed at stage rules No ES, nor unreleased hardware One bencher can only contribute once for each stage For the stages that require several results, different CPUs / GPUs / MEM types are needed (example: LGA1150 cpu bench with three results needs 4790, 4770K, 4690, if three different benchers submit three results with 4770k only one will count to the ranking) General Verification Rules 2D scores require CPU-Z tabs for CPU, Memory and Motherboard 3D scores require CPU-Z tabs for CPU, Memory and Motherboard…

  11. Members are complaining but no one (as far as I know) actually brought an idea/suggestion/solution to address the current issue about cooling. What are you talking about? I am referring to the issue there is currently with leagues being split based on the cooling and cooling limited competition. What is the cooling issue? Some members may or may not use extreme cooling and post results under "not extreme cooling". Some members may or may not call out other members they suspect are doing it. What is the effect of the cooling issue? I have headaches Kills the fun Some members are called the C word Some members refuse to compete Some members may or may no…

So I've noticed that with previous comps where there was a planning thread Alby often basically uses all the ideas in thread and still has to make some up. So I decided to sit down with several other benchers and try to come up with as big a list of ideas as possible. Anyways here it is and hopefully it inspires others to come up with even more ideas so Alby has plenty to choose from. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Dq3v4Du_cSHn5QfNBVSN47CtWLMpdzPD-iNAxPTs43M/edit?usp=sharing

  16. I went out of my way to buy a CPU for this tournament. I can't believe the time period is only a month, the organizers care so much about the beginners... ♪
