Maybe this will be fixed in the future, but for now: If you submit a 3DMark result to Futuremark..... that is your one and ONLY shot with that particular save file. If you submit it to FM, decide to delete it then change your mind..... tough. If you submit a result, just keep it in your account.

PCMark 7 v1.4.0 released PCMark Vantage v1.2.0 released These feature official Win 8 compatibility. PCMark 7 has some major bugixes and scores of v1.4.0 are not comparable with older versions. Video transcoding test, web browsing test and storage test all feature bug fixes that influence scoring. PCMark Vantage has some minor fixes, no changes in scores there. Windows 8 full compatibility for PCMark Vantage requires Windows 8 Media Center Pack as by default Win 8 does not include a MPEG2 codec. Also note that this update ditches PCMark Vantage trial version - the basic edition is now freely available with no limitations on number of runs and works the same…

Just put out a new update for 3DMark 11 http://www.futuremark.com/pressreleases/3dmark-11-version-104-released Fixes some minor bugs, bundles the latest SystemInfo. Scores unaffected. Hall of Fame will start requiring this version (and SI 4.15) in 1-2 weeks time. Suggest updating to this when doing record attempts etc.

The PC version of the new 3DMark can be downloaded now from one of the download mirrors or Steam and I'm honestly pretty amazed one of my work mates managed to test the performance of 22 graphic cards in the test scenes Cloud Gate, Fire Strike Extreme and Ice Storm from 720p with no AA/AF up to 1600p with 8xSGSSAA 16:1 HQ-AF on day 1. If you're interested how HD 7970 (GE), HD 7950 (Boost), GTX 680, GTX 670, GTX 580 etc. perform please have a look at the results from PC Games Hardware: - German version: http://www.pcgameshardware.de/3DMark-Software-122260/Tests/3DMark-im-Test-Benchmarks-Download-1047157/ - English version: http://translate.google.de/translate?sl=de&…

I developed a multithreaded CPU benchmark that calculates PRIME numbers using a multithreaded parallel algorithm written in C++ and assembler. The software calculates prime numbers from 1 to 1.000.000.000 [one billion]. The software is written in Visual C++ using MFC and Win32API. Multi-Core Prime at HWBOT: http://www.hwbot.org/benchmarks/processor A slider will help you set the exact interval: from 1 to 10.000.000 [ten millions] and up to 1.000.000.000 [1 billion]. The default value of the slider is 100.000.000 [one hundred millions]. In that case, the application will calculate all the prime numbers between 1 and 100 millions. Also, you can create a…

We've just pushed out an update to 3DMark06 installer (see, we haven't abandoned it!). This installer is officially compatible with Windows 8. Binary itself has not changed (and is still v1.2.0) but installer has been rebuilt with latest SystemInfo 4.15 and with updated OpenAL installer. It also includes updated exporter.dll, ensuring that saving and loading results will work even with latest SystemInfo installed. Futuremark's own page is not yet fully updated (will be updated on Monday) but the file is already available from various mirrors, for example here; http://www.gamershell.com/news_148511.html We're also going to publish updates to 3DMark 11, 3DMark …

Hi So like everyone I was benching wPrime (on air) but it just wouldn't work. I always got the following errror: "The remote server doesn't exist or is unavailable." When this happened, I had access to the console mode. I tried to set 127.0.0.1 as server but it didn't help. Ideas ? System: 1090T @ 4GHz 1.425V C3F ValueRAM

Some new info up on 3DMark. http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmark http://www.futuremark.com/pressreleases/new-3dmark-will-compare-windows-android-and-ios-devices So, who's up for some iToy overclocking? (the teaser is aimed to promote the cross-platform nature - there will be a desktop version and it is the one with all the tests, more on that in the coming weeks as we gear towards launch...)

Could CPU-Z be developed to allow a "black box" MHz recorder? If the CPU speed is changed on the fly, that change is shown. advanced: a realtime graph, like Rivatuner Simple: a record of the highest and lowest CPU MHz during the boot. If the variation is too big, the user could be forced to declare the higher value as their speed, even if it was only for 1/10th of the bench. Just an idea

Is there a known fix for low result on XP with aquamark wrapper, and higher result running aquamark directly? On 8800 series card, I know I've gotten good scores in the past on XP with these cards, but I don't remember if I was still getting higher without wrapper. On a pretest run, the difference was about 50K. Results reproducible, and I think I've seen this discussed elsewhere in this forum before. FIX

+Wine, not allowed? AFAIK the rules don't state a single thing about the OS choice, I subbed two results SuperPi 1M and PiFast (Windows versions) that were running in Wine, which isn't an emulator and contains a Windows Registry just like Windows. What about OSes like ReactOS? I just want to know, and request the rules be amended...

I searched a bit on this bench to look how good is my storage, but i found an interesting submit with i7 920, and on the comments it was talk about Ramcaching. http://www.hwbot.org/submission/2238591_christian_ney_pcmark_vantage_core_i7_920_41956_marks And here is an normal Areca Score: http://www.hwbot.org/submission/1096127_stevero_pcmark_vantage_core_i7_920_30681_marks/ So, why Ramcaching is in this Bench allowed? Who allowed it? And is it really allowed Its not that fair thought, to allow Ramcaching, can we have a clear point about Ramcaching in Vantage please? Or am i allowed to score 800000 HDD Points:D

I have a couple of benchmarks that wont run proper, if anyone have a clue what is wrong, or been there.. Please lend me a helping hand.. 3 d mark 2001se I wont start, the win color theme change to basic, and then nothing happens.. 3d mark 03, i am running with one screen, but in general there are a poor software stability, between the "tracks" i often get stuck at a black screen.. Regards X Radeon 7950 Win7/64 Displayport I have been able to run these benchmarks fine in the past, but with a different gpu/model I have tried with 3 different gpu drivers, and to run in different win compatibility settings..

I've been searching, and I have some older multi-processor hardware that I noticed does not have any submissions for wprime 1024m So.. I was going to submit some, but then I'm now wondering, which version of wprime should I use? The most recent only, or older? maybe I should try several versions, see which is the fastest and submit that, is this allowed? or is this like cheating some how? Also, I found someone else years ago submitted scores for wprime 32m on the same hardware, but with version 1.55, I just tried it with version 2.09 and it's faster, is it allowed submitting faster results with newer versions of the benchmark tools?

Got my head around some C++ AMP at the weekend and wrote a benchmark for DX11 GPUs that probes some of the computational aspects in grid solvers. Each stage lasts for 30 seconds - CPU score is designed to be less than 5% of the overall grade, but as always having a fast CPU helps keep the GPU fed. AMD doesn't fair too well, but that's more a weakness of the DX11 API with C++ AMP for this sort of thing. Download below and feel free to test! // System Compute // (c) 2012 Ian Cutress // // System Compute is a benchmark designed to stress the CPU and AMP device of the system // // Changelog // // v0.4 : Added CPU detection // v0.3 : Added AMP MatMul // v0…
