May 5, 20187 yr Tried from 54 to 60, VCore from 1.5 to 1.65. No luck. Edited May 5, 20187 yr by Bruno
June 14, 20187 yr Quick RAM OC with Elmors 0020 with CPU on AIO and fan blow over RAM. I guess i could pust voltages higher and pass 5GHz but just wanted a baseline for LN2 CPU and RAM 1.4/1.4v VCCIO/SA VDRAM 1.75V 2482.2MHz (4964.4MHz)https://valid.x86.fr/b4fbjz Edited June 14, 20187 yr by stubass
June 14, 20187 yr Also, is there really any issues with this BIOS for trying to beat my 6.8GHz Cine R15 score with the same 8700k? Or switch to BIOS 1 which has my OC profiles saved and is BIOS 1301 or 1302, forgot lol
June 14, 20187 yr I have still no experience with LN2 and Coffee. Im curious, if there will be something different against M9A and Kaby.
August 29, 20187 yr I’ve had the same issue as Radi, Hotrid and Bruno, with 6.1g my limit on a 6.8G chip. If anyone has any work around, I am all ears.

August 29, 20187 yr This is an ez to hit 6.8+ G (depends on the cpu ofc) bios profile for bios 1003 we use for reference. Check the mem settings and adjust accordingly based on your needs. Boot into windows, adjust and run. Let me know if it works. CineLN2.CMO

I think it could be the pll term that you might have set to 1.095v which should work with "most" cpus. Ours "locks" at 6.6 if I recall correctly when you have it set that high and 0.95v is ideal to clock higher. Edited September 1, 20187 yr by FireKillerGR
October 3, 20187 yr I have a problem where RAM lost all settings then after reboot gave CC error, I did a BIOS flashback which did nothing I then changed through 3 sets of RAM and 2 CPU's everything still gave error CC. I found that with 1 stick of RAM in outer slot it boots but nothing I have found will let me boot 2 sticks. I checked CPU socket and all pins look perfect no bent or burnt pins. Is there a way to get past this or does it need to be sent to Asus? I also noticed this motherboard is no longer on sale are there so many problems that it has stopped being made?

My experience with m9a is that they have major qc issues so you have to bin them just to not get a crap board. Also they definitely drop channels after a while. Mine is down to single channel even with a pristine socket. You can try flushing the socket out with isopropyl as sometimes the socket is just dirty but I can say on my board that no amount of iso has been able to bring my channel back.

Bad news then, I did flush out and gently blow out with compressed air, my board is pristine only use water never been cold and no insulation, I think it's had less than 20 hours for sure maybe only 10. I just got a RMA from Asus to fix it, I was wondering if it was worth having a refund (the dealer has offered me a full refund) and modding the Apex IX that I have. Does the Apex IX Z270 work the RAM as efficiently as the Apex X? I notice pretty much all the top scores using a 8700K was using the Apex X. Any opinions welcome as I have a couple of days before I have to make my mind up.

However it can run xp which the m10a cannot so it may have an advantage in 32m.
November 5, 20187 yr Author BIOS 1704 modified for Windows XP ACPI support https://1drv.ms/u/s!Atmpv-6qHr_6o9hDCg_c2HDTGFUr7g Rename to M10A.CAP and flash using USB BIOS Flashback. Using EZFlash will not work. Edit: Set Boot Performance Mode = Turbo Performance to be able to change ratio in the OS Edited November 6, 20187 yr by elmor
