Intel IDF in Beijing is held on April 10 and 11. There will be a lecture on overclocking featuring Mike Moen, Joakim Algstam and Hicookie. Here's a bit more information: I've seen some interesting footage from the last IDF San-Fran, let's hope the lecture will be spot on! Looking forward to it . Anyone else going? Might be cool to meet up!

Here is the same post what I put up on the crew section. No drama involved, just to let you know I have no more influence on things on this site: Hi all! Time goes on and things change. I have been thinking a lot about my future in overclocking lately. My first step is to leave from Hwbot.org crew and believe me, this was a hard decision. When you get out, there is no coming back as we know. I just feel that I have nothing to give for this site and no point to just hang out in here. My thanks goes to Frederik who put this site up and did amazing job with it in the beginning. I was happy to join the crew in 2007 and it was great honor for me. These…

So, at the end of the year Frederik asked me what I'd like as an end-of-the-year present for all my hard work work effort presence at the organisation. So this is what I wanted more than anything else ... Probably not going to use it, just a collectible really! :nana:

I thought about opening a thread in the marketplace like "Free Hardware, take what you want but shipping costs from Switzerland are super expensive and was shitty hardware anyway". And this way I am sure nobody will use my stuff... EVER! Explosives aren't allowed here, used hammer instead. Souvenirs:

Hey all, Since Elmor and myself are both currently residing in Taipei, we're going to experience the Chinese New Year. But apparently CNY is very boring for foreigners because everyone is celebrating the holiday with their family. Following the epic "Time to Win!"-journey back in 2010 when the Icelandic volcano erupted, we've decided to take a vacation break around South-East Asia. Based on Elmor's previous experiences traveling through Asia, this is the basic itinerary: 06/02 06:35 PM - Singapore, Singapore 07/02 07:20 PM - Jakarta, Indonesia 10/02 09:10 PM - Penang, Malaysia --- traveling along the islands --- 17/02 08:50 PM - Phuket, Thailand 17/02 10:10 PM…

Hi all overclockers... Maybe this is the same question of all years, but for example in my country active overclockers at this time only exist one: Me. Maybe in the USA or Europe the thing is different, but I was talking with a friend, old overclocker friend in my country and he told me that overclocking was dying because many users now prefer laptops and tablets. What do you think? I really like the overclock, but I don't want be "alone" in a world were the things aren't how 5 or 6 years ago... Thanks for share your opinion.

Let's take a single-slot, low-profile Radeon HD 2400 Pro (128Mb). After vmodding the card with tape (and not soldering sh*t, it's useless ) we have to cool it. Why not stick a Socket 462 heatsink on it ? http://s13.postimage.org/3sek62c85/WP_001089.jpg http://s13.postimage.org/ipn172pgl/WP_001090.jpg http://s13.postimage.org/iqwz0hrad/WP_001091.jpg http://s13.postimage.org/5b9yb1isl/WP_001092.jpg http://s13.postimage.org/m1pxe46lh/WP_001093.jpg http://s13.postimage.org/ob9gb4q5h/WP_001088.jpg Since this brand new dual-slot card take some place we had to move it to the bottom of the motherboard. To hold the heatsink on the GPU we use red ribbons with plas…

Asus Eeepc 901 I wonder what Asus was thinking when they used 4Gb disk for the OS, it's the original XP that came with the sucker and i spent too much time to stripp it to the bone as much as i could, just for nothing, today i was shocked when tried to save a notepad document and it says there's not enough space proof Guess i should have started a new thread "you think you should upgrade your laptop when..." The fact is it's my first time ever i laugh hard at a laptop, this made my day

Okay, in no way do I want to dog on a single forum or name any names, I just want to know if this happens everywhere. In an overclocking forum, or enthusiast forum, new members often come for help with general purpose overclocking, and there are regular members often looked at as sub-forum "experts" that always help the users and help troubleshoot their problems. Those experts that stick in those few subforums of the website - Do they ALWAYS not know WTF they are doing, and go about the problem solving the absolute most roundabout way or seem to just f**k around and ignore very obvious behaviors of the hardware or fail to see patterns in the hardware/software erro…
