For ambient gene is enough. And if you use it for daily use and have more than 1 nwme, i would go for gene. You can use the m.2 from pch. On apex if you put 2 nwme on dimm.2 your pcie slot will run x8.

Apex 11 for daily . (9900k @ 5000 offset voltage, RAM 4400 C19)

What i have noticed:

- restarting takes too long

- getting into OS from sleep takes too long

- running prime95 for stability test i've noticed that while cpu keeps 5000 on all cores sometimes one or two cores drop to 4700. ( non avx prime95)

Anyone else noticed that, and maybe knows a fix?

Did you have all power and current limits disabled? 

Yes, i think it's because of the svid enabled, can't run offset voltage with svid disabled.

And the slow reset i think it's because of the high ram speed, it's the first time i used such high speeds for daily.

You can change all power limit to max with svid enabled.

No gene apex...no problem. Back to to basic clocking with hero :)

Hey guys, need professionals help. I'm on XI Formula with latest 0805 bios and G.Skill F4-4266C17-32GTZR kit. Been working on stock XMP frofile with tightened secondary and tertiary timings. 

One of memory sticks seems died. I'm getting instant CC post code in each slot. Other sticks works fine.

There's nothing i can do right ? And it's warranty time ? Been working with this config for 3 month. Suddenly during 

game my system hangs and i won't be able to boot again untill find this dead stick.

Correction, unlike the gene or extreme the dimm.2 module on apex is linked the the PCH not CPU.

Main issue of Gene is the single bios. Otherwise would be perfect for daily.

I didn't get to test m10a vs m11a. Did anybody noticed any difference regarding the bios voltage required for same test same CPU (e.g. CB15  CPU@5000)?

USB setting legacy support enable and use lower usb ports

Only asmedia ports work.

On m11a i have only usb 3.1 gen 1 and gen2. I have the legacy support enabled. What do you mean by lower ? Usb 3.1 gen 1 or the usb 2.0 connector from the bottom pf the board?

Here is a win7 acronis distribution I share for firekiller.gr, it should have usb support, I tested it to work on lower blue usb ports for apex

Seems I cant make it public from phone (need to accept requests) .

Will adjust in a couple of hours when I get back home.

Could you please share your settings (secondary/tertiary timings and SA IO VDIMM DMI voltages) for daily use ? I can run 4600CL17 2T on my Apex XI absolutely fine, but can't make it boot to Windows at 4000CL15 1T. Posts fine, but im getting bsod when trying to boot. Tried 231, 802 and 805 bios with no luck.
